Apologies for the lateness of the Scout Picks this week but, better late than never, here they come. Could be a rough ride this one - the threat of rest and rotation looms large with the Champions League in midweek. Lampard, Adebayor, Terry and Ronaldo all look at risk. Lovely.

ContinuedNew FPL Captain Poll
All quiet on the injury front so far today - no confirmed news as yet on Torres, Ronaldo or Cahill - so I’ve updated the FPL captain’s poll (scroll down the left menu) for the current gameweek. Could be interesting again this week, with just the merest threat of rest/rotation hanging over Ronaldo. It will be interesting to see how worried you lot are about that prospect and just who will get close to him.

A “grand-slam” Easter weekend but a mediocre one at best for most fantasy managers. Drogba did the damage for Chelsea, Santa Cruz found the goal-scoring knack at Ewood, Villa somehow kept their phobia of clean sheets going a home to Sunderland and Bikey emerged as the player to have in your side. A funny old weekend then, with few fantasy managers smiling by the end of it. Here’s my thoughts on proceedings.

It that respect the picks are probably one of the easiest and “play safe” lineups I’ve selected in months. If you’re after some long shots though, read on - there’s some decent alternatives about if you’re up for a gamble.
