Enner Valencia is crap.

1. Did Giroud to Lukaku, so I could spend 4 points doing Hazard to The Walcott.

2. Rose from 7.2k to 5.2k and grabbed a ML win from the GW1-GW37 leader.

3. That Walcott needs to be nailed on somewhere next season.

I got 13 points. According to fpl discovery that was the lowest score in the top 10k lol. Sold aguero and Kane for Benteke and Lukaku for a hit. My worst GW ever. 🙂

In my final push for a 1k finish I transferred out (2ft) Kane (7) and Hazard (7) for Silva (3) and Bentekke (2) that's a swing of 9 points which would have landed me a top 1k finish.

Ditching Hazard at the perfect moment for Cazorla and keeping Vardy and Kane after deciding not too kneejerk on Benteke.

1. Success = Bringing in Walcott for a hit. Failure = only making him vice captain
2. Very nearly won me fpl - in the end it moved me up from 4th to 2nd OR (and 1st in the Q4 rankings)

1) Massive fail: Sanchez, Ozil, Cazorla, Bertrand and Kane to Shelvey, Silva, Willian(c), Cahill and Luka for -12pts. 23pts lost, boom!

2. Jumped about 1k but missed 25k.

Wanted Walcott but there was just no way of knowing which Arsenal mid should have made way.

Hazard's tooth and Wild Rover's enthusiasm got my attention Sunday morning, and with nothing much to play for I added a -8 for fun.

Hazard & Giroud -> Walcott & Costa

Couldn't have just sold Hazard as I had triple Arsenal.

2) Bumped my rank up.

3) I guess I learned:

a) a -8 can pay for itself in one week if you're spectacularly lucky... Costa getting the peno off Hazard just about paid off the hit (7 points from him) making the last minute move a 19 point gain ... didn't really expect that, was just doing it for fun

b) I should captain Walcott if he looks like he's going to start...

Although honestly, I think this week's Rough With Smooth could just be all highlights of Dufflinks and Jinswick.

1. Cazorla to Mata. Thought about Charlie Adam instead but it just not seemed right to leave almost 4.0M in the bank.
2. Had I kept Cazorla and I would end inside the top 100, finished 2 points off it.
3. Even in GW38, you can always "save" a transfer, it can be a great decision!

1. Cazorla and Hazard to Toure and Mata for -8 points.

2. It took me from 1631 to 3035; if I didn't make these transfers I'd be 19 points better off.

3. Taking hits on the final day is rubbish. Completely ignore Chelsea press conferences.

Big fail. A very punty -8 took all the points bar Aguero's goal out of my team. I was inside the top 5K and thought I'd punt knowing my top 10K rank was safe and top 1K unobtainable. I scored 21 points after hits and acheived my second worst ever gameweek rank (2.8 million). My final overall rank was 5841, so can't complain too much. Transfers were:

Cazorla > Bolasie
Hazard > Silva
Kane > Lukaku

1. After owning Hazard since GW1 I saw the news about him having trained on Saturday at 11:25~ Sunday morning. I decided there wasn't enough time to explore and investigate so sold him and Kane for Young (who played deep centre mid!) and Lukaku.

2. Finished in the top 10k (for the first time ever) but dropped from 6,357 to 8,492 in the final week. My worst rank since GW26.

3. Lukaku doesn't score the last game of the season every year 🙁

Transferred in Walcott for Hazard.

But also transferred in Lukaku and captained him.

1. Selling Hazard for first time in 2 seasons. FOR SILVA! Who I sold 3 gameweeks before(9,16,9).
2. I dropped about 700/800 places.
3. Never, and I mean NEVER! take Silva in and out. Either have him the whole season, or not a single GW.

1. Didnt bother making a transfer. Courtois didnt play.

ROUGH
1. Sold Kane for Benteke. My whole team blanked bar Aguero. It was horrendous watching it unfold. Scored just 31 points. Later took solace from Jonty and Atletico Timbo's scores.
2. OR fell from 158 to 256. Still a PB, but it could have been so much better.
3. This is a brutal game. Last week I was on cloud nine after a GW rank of 941. My GW rank yesterday was 2,634,622.

My Fpl deadline story :

Went into the final day, 12 points behind my ML rival (with £400 at stake!) and a very similar team. I brought in Silva and Benteke (c) and he got in Silva, Young and Bolasie with Aguero (c). All blanked, except for Aguero.

Pre bonus, it all looked bleak. Despite my (c) fail, I had somehow made up the 12 points and was now winning the league by 1 point. However Vardy (a key player for him in recent weeks) was on for 2 bonus, and Smallings yellow card meant he had lost out on 3bonus, narrowing the margin between us. In fact, Vardys 2 bonus and my complete lack of bonus points meant he had won the ML by a single point.

Then, the magic happened. As I was sitting there, looking very forlorn, my devoted girlfriend was triple checking all of the bonus points columns for the various games (she is well trained!) and suddenly remarked that Vardy had gone from two to one BP. And, to top it off, Kane had been given a BP. I didn't believe her at first, but then I checked... she was right!! This change in bonus points meant I was now winning the league by one.

With no further developments its now confirmed that ive won the league (The LMO league on my Fpl ID if you don't believe me) by a single point. I owe my success in huge part to this forum, in particular help with my final panic decision where I wanted to take Cambiasso out for a hit but was unanimously told to keep and play over Henderson. What a day, what a season, and what a game!!

1. Successfully kept in Hazard thanks to the last minute training news (would have been brought in Yaya or Mata). But I transferred out Kane for Ndoye which cost me.
2. Thankfully those kind of cancelled each other out and I got a green arrow. Finished 472nd
3. Tbh, if I had my time again, I'd probably do the same thing. Hull had to attack and it was looking good for those first 15. He even had a goal disallowed.

2. Left just outside top 10k wishing I'd thought outside the box for Walcott to make up this last few places.
3. Trust the scout tables in general stats don't lie after a tough mini league battle finished comfortably ahead thanks to using my membership it bit more the last few weeks!

This is probably more appropriate for an article called swings and roundabouts, but I sold Hazard and Kane for Milner and Costa which had zero sum effect on either move.

Made top 10k and won my college ML when they thought I did not stand a chance.

1. My two free moves were Hazard and Boyd to Silva and Bolasie, which ultimately lost me 4 points. Although I was seriously vacillating right up to the deadline, I did not take a hit for Caz to Wally or Giroud to Benteke, and I did not get punty with my (c).
2. The moves I made were pretty much inconsequential to my rank--those four points would not have achieved any milestones for me, and I made it into the top 10k anyway. But it was still an amazing outcome because my caution allowed me to win LAWR 5 from behind, as those above me and against me punted inadvisedly, mostly with the armband, leaving me on top.
3. Punt with your transfers not your (c). The Hazard to Silva move was too defensive, and literally prevented me from getting in Wally, but caution with the (c) and not taking hits ultimately was the right thing to do.

Don't usually post on these cos by the time I see them, someone's already posted a similar story to mine. Anyway...

1. Got Lampard in for Gomez with my FT. Was really surprised he wasn't considered as a punt by more people on his last prem game. Especially given the fanfare over Gerard last week.
2. Went up 2k to finish inside the top 15k (my highest OR this year)
3. Sometimes there is a good option that no one is talking about / sometimes even I get lucky 🙂

I'll add my own to this maybe this week.

Kane (7) and Hazard (7) out for Benteke (2) and Silva (3) for a hit.

Plus benched Albrighton (10) as I vowed to play Puncheon (3) after missing all his points for many weeks previously.

But still finished in the top 4K and recorded by fourth top 5K finish in a row. So pretty pleased in the end.

Looking forward to next season in which Benteke, Silva and Puncheon are officially barred from my team. 🙂

(1) I did Giroud, Hazard -> Walcott, Costa (-4) at 2.54am. In a hotel room after a work black tie event. A net gain of 15 points.

When I woke up the tuxedo was in a crumpled heap on the floor and the bow tie was snapped in two after I obviously mega failed to take it off successfully in my rush to take a hit.

Drunken transfers FTW!

(3) I have learned nothing Jonty Snow.

I did Pantilimon to Schmeichel since the rest of my team had decent fixtures except goalkeepers.

Unfortunately the keeper I still had and decided to bench was Heaton, who got 6 more points than Schmeichel. With a finishing rank of 10,572 it's a case of "what if", but at the same time I'm not really one for hindsight bias, still very happy with this season.

I'm not sure what I've learned from the move, since it was a strange final day where few of the in-form players did anything.

Told my ML rival about the Hazard 'injury' so he used his one transfer on getting rid of hazard I used my two free and blocked his hazard to silva and also brought in Sissoko for Larsson. This move made me win my cash ML.
