The ScoutCast – Episode 201 – Penalty

The cruel mistress that is Fantasy Premier League.

Jonty has fallen a victim, paying the penalty for a few ill-judged decisions, compounded by a huge slice of bad luck as both Christian Benteke and his captain Sergio Aguero missed penalties in a single Gameweek.

He just can’t buy a break right now, which makes it all the more impressive that Jonty should brave another ScoutCast and risk a bruising hour in my company, along with Andy and Granville.

We make sure we conduct a full post-mortem on Jonty’s miserable plight, before delving into similar tales from the community in “Rough with the Smooth”.

Then it’s on to your questions as we consign Hull City to whipping boy status, pry into Pep’s potentially failing relationship with Aguero and dare to cast doubt on the Joe Allen bandwagon.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re nostalgic for the old formats, you can acquire the traditional mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or watch me get riled via the Google Hangout version in the second player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Cech - Pickford
    Monreal - Cameron - Amat - Holebas - M. Wilson
    Sanchez - Mane - Lallana - Son - Fletcher
    Aguero - Lukaku - Deeney

Thanks in advance for any responses!

You could switch Mane for either Firmino/Coutinho, purely to use the transfer as a way to pocket some cash?

You're very much all set for this week and it's very difficult to see a real desire for change anywhere. It may not be the worst decision to see that transfer burn, if you decided to stick.

The love for siggy is strong even though Fer is so much the better option. I am not sure what people are basing their decision on

    goals scored perhaps? Nope
    Stats? Nope

    Then what?

Personally I think swansea are going to bomb under Bradley, I predict a bit of a hammering at the weekend

Past results and the supposed false nine position.

I agree, I think Bradley is a bomb. Scoring 2 against Arsenal has people fooled I think.

Can someone explain to me why antonio is already at -1 at -30% but only needs 30000 transfers out to drop 0.1 more to -0 2 but ibra who hasent dropped this week is at -60% and needs 60000 just to drop to his first minus ??

    Lovren or Shawcross?

Surely they're as likely as each other to gain CS, similar goal threat, but does Shawcross have more BPS potential simply because Stoke don't score as many as Liverpool?

He looked a bit dishevelled this week like it had taken its toll a little, but I don't think anyone seriously doubts that he won't turn it around. I worked out tonight that his captain sensible articles and his help on Twitter had gotten me 160 points off my captain choices this season.

I'd always face the press with those teeth.
Jonty's teeth are amazing. They're all white and straight.

He'll turn things around in FPL. Just a different sort of challenge for him for once. I didn't make it to the top 1m until GW29 last season but enjoyed those last 9 GWs like no other 9 GWs I've ever played. If he continues to struggle he should go all out maverick.

Everyone should try it just once, just to feel like what it feels like.

This decision is driving mad all wk
Sterling Walcott for free. Front 8 at the moment is sanchez, firmino, sterling, snodgrass, kun, lukaku and benteke. Not having wally is worrying me but city have great fixtures

    Hello lads

Which option should I go for?

    1/ Antonio to Son
--) son has monster stats and some good home fixtures + who knows about the derby's outcome.

    2/ Antonio to Arnautovic
--) fixtures are so good and he is a selfish little austrian. He should get in the points but who wants to rely on Stoke

3/ Antonio to ALLI + Coleman to Lovren
--) Alli is hitting form and is a good differential. Lovren has some good fixtures. For a 4pt hit but it could pay off over 3 gws.
