Fixtures

Frisking the Fixtures – Gameweek 15 – The Strong

With the first midweek round of festive fixtures just around the corner, we’ve taken time out to dissect the teams who face the most favourable schedules over the next four-to-six Gameweeks.

Premium options from Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool could all deliver plenty of points over the coming period, while value could be found in south Wales as Swansea City avoid all of the big guns over the next month.

Chelsea

(WBA, sun, cpl, BOU, STO, tot)

Antonio Conte’s men look to have the perfect blend of form and fixtures over the next five Gameweeks, as they avoid all of the current top six.

Goals certainly look on the agenda, given that the Blues face a Crystal Palace side that have shipped 10 goals in their last four matches, while Bournemouth have fared little better, conceding eight over the same period.

Sunderland, meanwhile, have allowed more shots from inside the box (51) than any other side over the last four Gameweeks, while home fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City should also provide plenty of goal scoring opportunities.

The temptation to own both Eden Hazard and Diego Costa through the coming stretch could provide dividends, then, and looks a far more likely scenario following Sergio Aguero’s four-match suspension.

It appears important to keep one Chelsea slot open to own a member of the backline, though, given that Conte’s men should be able to muster muliple clean sheets over their next five matches.

Having scored just twice in their last three away matches, the Stoke match-up perhaps looks the most favourable.

Although West Brom, Sunderland, Palace and Bournemouth have been in reasonable form of late, you have to fancy a Chelsea defence that has conceded just two goals in their last eight matches.

Marcos Alonso looks the standout option due to the added attacking threat which has seen him register a goal and two assists in his last six appearances.

Manchester United

(TOT, cpl, wba, SUN, MID, whm)

Once Sunday’s testing clash against Tottenham Hotspur is out of the way, the fixture list really opens up for Jose Mourinho’s side through the rest of December and into January.

United have conceded exactly one goal in each of their last four matches, but clean sheets could be around the corner given that both West Ham United and Middlesbrough rank in the bottom four for shots inside the box over the last four Gameweeks.

The Palace, West Brom and Sunderland clashes are also fairly favourable, although, as already mentioned, those three teams have been in decent form in front of goal recently.

But United defenders should certainly be on our radars, with Phil Jones now appearing a viable option at just 4.7 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), having started the last four league matches.

The upcoming fixtures should also enhance the chances of United getting amongst the goals, with Palace and West Ham having conceded 10 goals apiece over the last four Gameweeks.

The Sunderland match-up is likely to provide United with plenty of chances, while although West Brom and Middlesbrough are slightly stronger at the back, you still have to fancy Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in particular, to continue his recent upturn in form.

Swansea City

(SUN, wba, mid, WHM, BOU, cpl)

According to our Season Ticker, the Welsh side face the most favourable fixtures over the next six Gameweeks.

Bob Bradley’s men avoid all of the current top six, while they take on two of the bottom four in front of their own fans.

It’s in attack where backing the Swans looks most likely to pay off West Ham and Palace have been pretty porous, while, as already mentioned, Sunderland are giving up a lot of chances.

Bournemouth have also let in 11 goals in their last five away matches, and although the West Brom and ‘Boro match-ups are slightly trickier, Gylfi Sigurdsson will be backed to produce attacking points over the next month or so.

While defensive returns may be harder to come by, there may still be a couple of opportunities to garner a clean sheet or two.

‘Boro have only scored three goals in four at the Riverside, while Sunderland have failed to score in three of their previous four on the road.

West Ham and Bournemouth have also struggled for goals on their travels, so those who own Jordi Amat may be able to get some defensive points from the Spaniard over the coming period.

Liverpool

(WHM, mid, eve, STO, MCI, sun)

Considering that Man City remain a fairly suspect team defensively, while Everton have conceded eight goals in their last four matches, the Liverpool attack should continue to flourish.

As already touched upon, clashes against West Ham and Sunderland look likely to yield plenty of goals, whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side will be heavily backed against ‘Boro and Stoke, despite the absence of Philippe Coutinho.

Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane, who is expected to recover from a knock he picked up against Bournemouth, should remain strong options for our five-man midfields, then.

Up top, Divock Origi has three goals in as many matches and should retain his starting role, though his appeal is likely limited to those seeking a short-term punt.

With Joel Matip in line to return against West Ham on Sunday, the second-half collapse against the Cherries may prove to be something of an anomaly.

It’s the next four fixtures where defensive returns appear the most likely. West Ham’s form remains poor, while Everton and ‘Boro have managed just two and four goals respectively over the last four Gameweeks.

The Stoke match-up is also fairly favourable given the Potters rank in the bottom half for both shots inside the box and big chances created over the last four Gameweeks, although a trip to Sunderland looks a trickier proposition, given the Black Cats’ recent resurgence in attack.

It’s Dejan Lovren who should continue to provide excellent value at the back, then, with Nathaniel Clyne an option for those whose budget can stretch that far.

Also Consider

Southampton
Claude Puel’s side only look to have one unfavourable fixture – the Gameweek 18 clash against Tottenham Hotspur – in the next six (MID, sto, bou, TOT, WBA, eve).

But given ‘Boro and Stoke have been pretty resolute at the back in recent weeks, there isn’t really a plum home fixture in there, particularly from an attacking perspective. Although Charlie Austin looks a good option, he may struggle to register double-figure hauls.

By the same token, ‘Boro and Stoke don’t offer the greatest attacking threat, while the other three matches on the current slate could also yield defensive returns.

Given that he also offers some assist and bonus potential, Cedric Soares should continue to attract investment as a mid-price option then, with Virgil van Dijk a possible target in the premium category.

West Ham United
Once Sunday’s trip to Anfield brings to an end what has been a really difficult run of fixtures for the Hammers, Slaven Bilic’s side face three very enticing match-ups (BUR, HUL, swa).

No team has conceded more goals (13) than the Welsh outfit over the last four Gameweeks, while Hull City have conceded 16 goals in their last five away matches.

Burnley are equally vulnerable on their travels, shipping six goals in their last two away fixtures, so Dimitri Payet and perhaps even the fit-again Andy Carroll could be worth a short-term gamble.

The home matches against Burnley and Hull also look positive in terms of being able to register clean sheets, but given their recent defensive struggles, and with encounters against Leicester and Man United to follow, investment in the West Ham rearguard remains unlikely.

Burnley
It’s in the short to medium-term where the Clarets’ budget assets could provide strong value, as they face three kind looking home match-ups (BOU, MID, SUN) and a trip to West Ham in the next five.

Tom Heaton’s 14% ownership in FPL will be desperate for the goalkeeper to return from a calf injury this weekend, then, while Michael Keane could offer a viable alternative in defence.

With Sean Dyche having shuffled his pack against Stoke last weekend, it’s slightly trickier to know who to back from the Burnley attack.

Goals certainly appear on the cards in those four matches, so should Sam Vokes return to the starting XI, he could be able to add to the four goals he’s managed so far this season.

Nonetheless, with the likes of Origi, Austin and Kelechi Iheanacho offering options in the sub-7.0 bracket, it’s difficult to justify backing a Burnley attacker.

Just listened to the Scoutcast and I think they have it a bit wrong on the price rises.

The market does seem more volatile but Jonty saying that price rises have 'become the game, not part of the game' doesn't seem, to me, accurate. It makes our decisions more difficult yes, but that is good, just as having more in form players makes it difficult and also good. The pace and urgency this year has increased and I think that's a good change. I have made some early transfers which makes things more interesting.

How do others feel? Lots of risers and fallers: good or bad?

The problem with accumulated price changes is that it's so easy to just buy the players who are set to +.3 on the week, right before the deadline. Doesn't sound massively fun!

Have to buy the 'right' risers though, or you'll still get left behind. Choosing the bandwagons to get behind and those to avoid has always been an important aspect.

I agree. I'd argue that this might actually make the game more about price rises, because it would be even easier to catch the big risers every week.

Agree with every word of this.

I don't think it has become "the game" but it has become a larger feature.

Like with most things it's risk vs. Reward and I personally am enjoying the different dynamic to previous seasons.

Next year there will be something else new no doubt, keeps it fresh, adapt or die as they say.

More variables being added can only be good news for the serious player vs the casual, over a long period.

Didn't hear it but these arguments generally don't resonate well with me. Human beings can adapt. So can FPL managers.

The 2 wildcards a few years ago, or the bench boost, all out attack, triple captain chips, etc. hell, even the vice captain option didn't exist a few years ago. I have played since 2004 - this is my thirteenth season I think, and part of the allure of the game is it's constantly changing nature. Of course there are different elements we all enjoy, but you can still be extremely successful having not taken advantage of price rises and having just picked the best players prior to them hitting form or when they did initially. There have been PLENTY of value / affordable players this season despite the quicker / wilder price changes. McAuley / Evans; Coutinho / Firmino; Son / Phillips; for parts of the season Antonio / Walcott / Siggy; Defoe / Lukaku / Austin... With a "normal" TV you can still put out an extremely competitive team.

I would encourage all to just look at their Gameweek 1 lineups - when you only had 100M to spend. I had Foster, Hazard, Firmino, Capoue, Evans, Ibrahimovic, and Aguero in GW1. Had I kept them all season, outside of Aguero's red card, (I haven't, I have sold a few), and made little or no other changes, my rank would probably be pretty good. The game will always be about finding that right talent, and in recent years, getting the (C) right more often than not. The price increases are a bonus in my mind...

To be fair Mark didn't seem like he minds the price structure that much.

My other thought is that Jonty might only be noticing these 'superteams' because he, for the first time in a few years, can't get one. These teams have always been around I think.

There is no doubt that Jonty has a point. Playing a 38GW season was already difficult in the past but you were afforded at least a couple of days before a 0.1 and very rarely saw 0.3 rises across one GW. A larger than normal multitude of heavy hitters may have caused such a volatile market this season but what it results in is essentially being forced to make transfers straight after or even before a GW has finished. As FPL players, we have very little incentive to hold onto credible players when we will simply be left behind if we don't make the moves instantly in order to afford the popular players. I think it will calm down in the near future now the predictably high scoring players are amongst most active teams but the price rises have definitely become too much of a factor this year. Its about picking a team, not panic buying in case you're left behind. We might not be casual players but I like to think there is plenty of enjoyment about making informed decisions across the week, not right after kick off.

Im not a huge fan of the sudden price changes but just had to adapt.
I remember earlier on in the season keeping Walcott even though he just missed 1 game through injury & was coming back but everyone got rid & he went down 0.3 & I lost 0.2 in sell value. Also I lost 0.2 with son in the same week even though I wanted to keep him because he had a home match.
Now I just jump on the bandwagon. I havn't had the same attacking front 7 for 6 weeks straight

      9. Differentiator

At the same time it's worth adding that the price changes are working exactly like they should in any market, except it's actually watered down with price rise and price fall caps.

Lots of people buying should lead to multiple price increases, regardless of whether you agree that the increases should occur, and vice versa.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this market structure. It does add a layer of complexity, but with 4m players this year, it clearly doesn't deter the casual player.

we've got to be quicker with the transfers this season than some other seasons in the past, but peoples memories are short and really we're comparing to last season which was more of an anomaly than this season.

years with ronaldo, lampard, gerrard, henry, drogba, bale, vPersie, rooney, tevez, suarez had as many heavy hitters as this season but there was no VC or only one WC and transfers were even more important.

Prices lag points not the other way round.

Get the right players in with the best chance of scoring points and if you get it right you will have the points and the team value without having to chase last weeks performer. This has always been the case.

If there is an adjustment to be made its in planning timing of transfers.

Waiting until the end of the week can be a little more costly than last year.

Also from time to time, waiting a week may not be an option if you will be priced out. Again always the case but a little exaggerated this year.

If there is an adjustment to be made its minor but some are over adjusting imo and taking too many hits on this week's bandwagon for fear of missing out price gains.

Instead of complaining about the players making early transfers and how they are ruining the game for the rest of those that don't (not the Scouts per se but a lot of people on here do exactly that); perhaps it is time to acknowledge that the "early birds" have done their homework, understand that the risk of injuries is actually quite low compared to the reward that a high TV actually brings.

Nightly price rises are an important factor that sets FPL apart from all other FF games. There just is no comparison; you can keep you Sky, Telegraph etc games. They are comparatively dull and long may that continue.

Even the suggestion of having one price rise at the end of the week - wouldn't that just mean that over time, nobody would make trades in the week, thereby rendering FPL Stats useless? It would all be guesswork. Which would be a step backwards in my opinion and might actually lead to me getting a life. And hell, I don't want that FFS.

Haven't most of the big weekly movements been as a reaction to either a high ownership player getting injured/suspended or a big hitter returning after injury/suspension?

I also disagree with the proposal of accumulated price rises taking place on a Friday. The early transfer is always a risk vs reward, the risk of a midweek or training ground injury/doubt vs the reward of getting them in earlier and cheaper. The speed of rises and reductions may need making less sensitive but i don't believe the overall process needs adjusting.

I think it's perfectly fine. Who cares if someone gets injured when you bring them in early everyone has a bench everyone can wait you don't win the game by having the biggest TV you win with points scores and price rise doesn't effect there output on the pitch

As a new FPL player, the market-side of the game has gone completely over my head (witness a squad value of £102.2, with 0.4 in the bank, and an overall rank of 1.5m at the time of writing). So from that point of view, it's bad.

Looking at replacing Wilfried Zaha after this week and I can't look beyond Emre Can, the fixtures aren't great(mid, eve, STO, MCI) but he's carved out a new role as Klopp's box-to-box midfielder over Henderson and is up there with Firmino/Mané in the stats department. How much weight do you give to the defensive strength of the team against your captain vs. the strength of the captain's attacking potential?

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are turning teams over, there's no question in that. However, is anyone else backing off an Alexis captaincy due to Stoke's stat-baked solidity in the back? Likewise with Chelsea attackers and WBA?

Firmino, Sanchez, Hazard, Costa look the obvious captain choices and I think all of them are equally set for a haul this week. Looking at the defenses they're playing over the last 4 fixtures and total away fixtures...

      West Ham (Firmino)
      SiB Conceded (last 4/away): 41 (Rank 16th) / 72 (Rank 15th)
      Big Chances Conceded (last 4/away): 11 (Rank 19th) / 20 (Rank 19th)
      Goals Conceded last 4/away): 10 (Rank 18th) / 15 (Rank 16th)

      Average Rank: 17.2

      Stoke (Sanchez)
      SiB Conceded (last 4/away): 24 (Rank 7th) / 63 (Rank 10th)
      Big Chances Conceded (last 4/away): 2 (Rank T-1st) / 10 (Rank 11th)
      Goals Conceded last 4/away): 2 (Rank T-1st) / 8 (Rank 7th)

      Average Rank: 6.2

      West Brom (Hazard/Costa)
      SiB Conceded (last 4/away): 19 (Rank 3rd) / 51 (Rank 7th)
      Big Chances Conceded (last 4/away): 3 (Rank 2nd) / 10 (Rank 9th)
      Goals Conceded last 4/away): 3 (Rank 2nd) / 7 (Rank T-3rd)

      Rank: 4.33

These stats show that West Ham is clearly worst team playing against popular captaincy choices. It's very possible that the week's highest scorer will be a Pool player.

I have the armband on Mane and it isn't going anywhere. Klopp will have them ready to give Anfield a show after the Bournemouth defeat and Mane is definitely the man to be on in this case.

As a West Ham fan having to watch our terrible perfomances every week I've noticed we seem to be vulnerable to pace since our wing backs push so high up the field. I have the armband on Mane too, think he will run riot. Bought him in this week just for this game too!

I do give a lot of weight to the defensive strength of the teams my captain options are facing. However, I'm strict enough on who I count as a captain option for Firmino to be ruled out this week.

I simply don't trust him to be the main man in a Liverpool win in the same way I do with Hazard, Sanchez and one or two others. In fact he's probably one more blank away from seeing significant sales, I think.

Excellent post! If coutinho was playing or I had mane I would definitely have the armband on them. Firmino is in my team but I just find him very hit & miss which is why I'm not captaining & going with hazard or Costa.
Even if firm gets a haul & Costa gets just one goal, I'd still be happy as he's my differential in the league. I'm just trying to hang on in my ML so it's too much of a risk to go with firm.

As an aside to this, one thing that somehow surprises me time after time is how rarely a team gets properly turned over when you expect them to. Bus-parking is often the result.

cant see WBA scoring which will give him at least 6 points and he often gets attaching returns. i see him as the most reliable route to 8 points.

I put quite a lot of weight on it. If Coutinho hadnot got injured, Liverpool assets would be much more heavily backed. People just nervous because one game out one loss, so sanchez feels a safer choice.

I'm not sure these stats paint a true picture myself. First off, 4 away games span 2 months of playing time and form can be inconsistant over this period, especially for the bottom 14 teams. Secondly, nothing is mentioned about the strength of the fixture those teams faced over that time. Surely that is an important point to consider, so let's have a look.

Stoke's last 4 were Watford, West Ham, Hull and Man Utd

West Ham's last 4 were Man Utd, Spurs, Everton and Palace

West Brom's last 4 were 4 Hull, Leicester, Liverpool and Sunderland.

Your conclusion that West Ham is the worst team doesn't stand up when the fixtures show us they had the most difficult out of the 3.

It comes down to Zaha and Anichebe, and I have to think the correct bench is Anichebe. Hull are worse than Swansea in my opinion, I think Bradley is building something us there.

CPL have been playing some free scoring football as well, so Zaha a great pick this week.

I see lots of talk about getting Andy Carroll in for December. This is a man who has only played about 38 games in 3 years for WH. No chance he makes it through December unscathed. It's an unnecessary risk to be taking. Only Payet is worth considering tbh

              I don't trust Origi's gametime, Ihea maybe.

I agree, no chance Carroll comes good. Payet won't make value unless he starts shooting/scoring more. An assist can't be worth the price tag.

Are you holding Spurs assets after the back-to-back home games against promoted sides?

Next five following that: sot, wat, CHE, WBA, mci.

Kane looks fully interchangeable with Ibrahimovic, Walker/Rose with an Arsenal/United defender, Eriksen/Alli with Walcott etc.

With the way this seasons been going though you just bank the points and move on, no point in keeping through rough patches of fixtures when there's always another option with great fixtures.

To a certain extent sure, but proven players like Eriksen / Alli / Firmino / etc. or others with set pieces in their locker I tend to disagree as with form they can score against anyone.

Kane to Ibra will be a popular move but you could easily get away without Ibra(SUN, MID) given that Chelsea(BOU, STK) & Arsenal(WBA, CRY) also have plum fixtures ripe for captaincy which makes Ibra less of an impact.

Well my conspiracy theory before the start of the season was that FFS were asking us what prices we thought the players should be (as a quiz) because they were responsible for making the prices and wanted to know what we all thought so they could pick the average.
Turned out there was some truth in it

            1. Bojan Horsemack

What, that average was near enough exactly how they ended up? I'd be surprised if the FFS guys were deciding the prices themselves, but it has crossed my mind that they're asked to pose such questions by FPL. Which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. If those setting the prices were also some of the game's most successful players, though, that would be another thing.

Hard to argue with a guy ranked in the top 700 (above), but I actually think it's close and might opt for the second option.

I'm simply not sold on Siggy and Swansea scoring much - regardless of their opponents. If I'm correct, in their last ten PL matches they've scored more than one goal only twice.

On the other hand, I think Alli is about to take off, and ManU have good defensive fixtures after this week.

I feel unsure about siggy since got him last week! I expected a blank v spurs, but Swansea were just so awful only one shot. Also I can see west Brom & even more so boro keeping clean sheets & another 2 blanks for siggy so even though the FDR rating is good I can't see Swansea scoring in those matches.
But then west ham & Bournmouth concede so I'd want him for those, but by then if siggy blanks his price would be dropping like a stone so it's be tempting to get rid.

        Foster, Pickford
        Cedric, Morgan, Evans, Holebas, Amat
        Sanchez, Firmino, Siggy, Redmond, Fletcher
        Costa, Kane, Austin

        5.0 ITB

I can afford Redmond to Hazard, but that leaves me without enough to upgrade Morgan to Alonso...

        A) Morgan to Alonso this week, Redmond to Eriksen next week for Hull at home
        B) Redmond to Hazard now because he's essential. Morgan to Valencia next week

I don't rate him either, he was just the only 4.5 striker playing when I got him. Swansea have been pretty terrible defensively, could be the opportunity to use my AOA effectively then

Could work out. Personally I'd save AOA either for a week with injuries or shocking defensive fixtures. Smith could easily score point this weekend. Eff it, captain Anichibe just so you can really rub my face in it when he gets a hatrick 😀

It's a really hard decision since for the first time ever my whole team has good fixtures, considering leaving Anichebe first sub since Costa and Mane are 'doubtful' anyway. Will probably go AOA though. Altgough between them Alonso, Smith and Cedric could get 3 clean sheets

True, but still a great option due to set pieces and starting XI certainty. He's pretty much fixture proof in ways (as seen at the Emirates), albeit playing in a poor enough team...not many better 4th mids out there for the price. Wagon probably justified.

To an extent that's right. The flip side being that because Swansea are so terrible defensively, both teams will try to attack them, leaving themselves more vulnerable than usual. That's my expectation anyway. Most teams are more ambitious at home. WBA certainly are.

        Heaton
        Amat Friend Williams
        Sanchez Siggy Firmino Hazard
        Costa Kane Austin

Pickford - de Roon Pieters Evans

On a -4 already and have 1 million in the bank. My defence is a mess this week and with Friend unlikely to feature yet again, I'm forced into playing either Pieters away to Arsenal or Evans away to Chelsea. I do have my AOA but de Roon is just bench fodder and unlikely to get more than 2 points. Should I just use the chip anyway to maybe save a couple of points?

Might consider Williams out as a long-term move... Everton just aren't keeping any cleanies (and have fairly horrible fixtures). Otherwise, Stoke and WBA will both be parking the bus this weekend. Would play Evans myself.

Williams will be leaving my team next gameweek. Have been wanting to get rid of him the last month or so. Evans likely to only get 1 point maximum but to save the AOA chip for the future might be better. Would you say Alonso is a priority to get in defence?

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Personally, I'd move Firmino back to the false 9 and take out Origi, and have Can and Wiji play together. Yes, Origi scored a nice goal last week, but he was responsible for two of the goals they allowed - giving away a ball that led to a counter, and not fighting for a ball just outside the box that Wilshere won that led directly to a goal.

I don't know if Klopp even cares about that stuff, but he should.

            • 10 Years

Klopp loves Origi, he's been scoring, and Firm was an easy switch out wide. Think it's Origi's spot to lose, personally. Will be some rotation coming up though for sure.

Cool, was thinking it must have happened! And last season you wouldn't have been wanting to get rid of any of those really!

Exactly! I only started last year but I'm sure it must also have happened in previous years when triple Chelsea, triple City was template. The guy who introduced me to FPL was telling me Hazard, Cech, Ivanovic, Aguero, Yaya, Kompany would take you through the whole season 2-3 years ago.

I could imaging that template a few years ago alright! Same here, had a team for the past few seasons but never took it seriously. Loving the challenge this season though and this site was a great find 🙂

Agreed... This season is so much more interesting and fun than last year and this site is an amazing resource. I almost stopped using the scout feature on the FPL website.

Can you see Pep starting Nacho Wed > Sat > Wed > Sun, with his penchant for rotation? Will likely miss one of the next three IMO

Who bloody knows with Pep, he could easily play KDB false 9 and bench Nacho for most of em!

I have Nacho in but am worried he played full 90 v Celtic. Surely he would have been taken off and protected if he was starting as his only fit striker?

May I ask what defence the omnipotent super team has?

Team is struggling really bad so I am looking for a bit of advice. Don't know whether to go out with KDB and bring in Sanchez? I don't have enough money to bring in Siggy and Eriksen.

        Foster(Jaku)
Lovren, Walker, Nyom ( Fuchs, Smith)
De Bruyne, Firmino, Allen, Hazard, (Gundogan)
        Austin, Costa, Deeney

[Fuchs out] Defense: Bring in (A) Alonso or (B) Cedric
[Gundogan out] Mid: Bring in (A) Siggy or (B) Eriksen

[Keep Austin; get rid of Deeney?] Forward: (giving it two weeks to get 2 free transfers (A) Ibra (B) Kane

just one but I am willing to take the -4 because of how poor my team is right now. Was thinking a defense and midfield move this week.

I'd bring in Alonso & Siggy. Can you afford that?

He did register another assist in Champions league today. I just thought Swansea might have a better schedule

Siggy's got 2 away games against WBA and Boro with tight defences.

I just checked and I have -0.6 if I bring in Alonso and Eriksen.
Do I go with Van Dijk/Cedric/McAugley and bring in Eriksen or Stay with Alonso and bring in Siggy.

Would anyone dare go without Arsenal cover for GW16 and 17? Eve concedes few goals at home. City wouldn't dare to lose to another rival at home.

Tempted. But can also see them scoring 2+ in both games. Neither like clean sheets and Arse look like scoring every game.

If City couldn't cope with Hazard's pace at the end of the match, I fear for their backline against Sanchez.

To answer your question: I fully intend to drop Walcott for Alli or Eriksen next week, but there's no way I'm getting rid of Sanchez if he's healthy.

        Mane/Wally or Sanchez/Can?

I can see Wally dropped this week, he has been poor recently. On a WC so I should just get Sanchez in now? Hate selling Mane but only real option if I want Hazard and Firminio. Can's stats last time at home were impressive. He is looking the key to having all the big guns.
