    Gents,

    OR 21k TV=£103.8 ITB=£2.8 (106.6m total)

    Did 1 x FT Bellerin>>Baines #GW22

    Heaton Pickford
    Rose Alonso Baines Jones Amat
    Alexis Alli Eriksen Phillips Lallana
    Ibra Giroud Anichebe

    G2G?

    Thoughts....welcome

    Giroud(IF OUT-waiting until fri)>>Lukaku/Kane (-4)
IF IN....(poss, maybe next g/week or after)
    Lallana>>Pedro>>1 of Alli/Erik>>Coutinho would allow Anichebe>>Defoe

    1. Morgs
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Keep Alli and Eriksen. No point aceing one for Kane either as they seem to share points between the three.

Phillips should be in your starting 11 over the next 4-6 with those fixtures. I'd downgrade Lallana to enable Anchiebe to Defoe

... yeah, I like LIV next 2/3 SWA(H) HUL(A) after that Lalla>>Pedro would have been nice with Anichebe>>Defoe (of course .1 off that currently) so maybe a punt on Stanislas or another....not sure

whats the general chit chat on Costa, my private league points lead has been wiped out due to the Kane / Alonso Show.

    Sanchez Alli Firminio Phillips Stanislas
    Aggas Costa Carroll

Got Costa a 10.6 and hes now 10.4. Whats the argument for not swapping for Kane?

Can only drop 0.1 more if you have kept until now(and can take poss Kane another .1 rise) may as well keep until fri for hull at home v Kane away to city no?

Who to ship out for Baines?

    Amat

    Or

    Pieters (and make 0.3m)

Whichever player I keep will be my last bench spot!

Have Walker, Evans, Lovren as the other defenders.

I'm facing a selection headache. What would you change?
Here's what I have (Captain Ibra, Lukaku Vice):

    Grant (MUN)
Cedric (LEI) / Rose (mci) / Bellerin (BUR)
Philips (SUN) / Sanchez (BUR) / Pedro (HULL) / Alli (mci)
Lukaku (cry) / Defoe (WBA) / Ibra (stk)

Jakupovic (che) | Stanislas (WAT), Friend (WHU), Bertrand (LEI)

I'd def play Bertrand over Cedric and would be tempted to have stanislas over Phillips as he seems to be on pens (very hard to drop Phillips though)
          My bench would read
Phillips, friend, Cedric in that order

            • 8 Years

            Interesting. Why Bertrand over Cedric?

Cedric got double the baps last game, and I think is 10% more nailed, given recent selection.

            The Stan/Philips/Alli selection is hard.

Your current team is not in bad enough shape to warrant a WC. It's your call and there's differing views about this but I'm a firm believer in wildcarding before the double gameweeks. There is also a good chance your team will be in worse shape one day and you'll be glad you saved the WC.

Will see what happens with Gru I think and if he does not look like playing then go Kun/Gru = > blah blah blah - as Head-Ake says, hard to decide.....Kane sporadic (but potentially explosive, Lukaku is...well Lukaku, Ibra in a team that does not score more than 2 goals......

Keep and reassess you won't find anyone out scoring him in 2wks time if he finds a little form with those fixtures and he's a differential as you say. He didn't become bad overnight and scored against West Ham in the cup and in 45mins against Burnley

I'm a non-owner and it's paying off at the moment. It's Aguero though, a 4-5 goal haul is never far away. He looks different under Pep though, and given how in form the likes of Ibra/Kane/Defoe are in.... probs swap him out and leave enough ITB to get back

    Players I want
    Eriksen or Pedro
    Kane or Lukaku
    Baines

Players I want to get rid of
    Sigurdsson
    Benteke (possibly Giroud)
    Amat

Considering the 'you can't have them all' theme of this year that's probably my lowest players I want and players I want to ditch tally so far.

Yep. Suddenly Man City away becomes more enticing than Hull at home...who'd have thought it.

Having Phillips and Stanislas is great at the moment - two players I want to play most of the next four and gives me so much more freedom in the transfer market.

I also have Phillips and Stan which has led to a 3-5-2 for the first time this season, feeling good about it & does free up the pennies....for now at least. Really wanted Rose for weeks and got him in for Ake instead of Baines, yellow card situation will almost certainly come back to bite me at some point but he is a player that warrants the gamble in my opinion.

Doesn't seem to matter how many transfers I do or hits I take, I want to constantly change 5-7 players in my team.

I don't think any striker has been a season keeper since Suarez and Darren Bent (when he was 7m and scored at a rate of two defoes for Sunderland).

All the big hitters form wavers now and again, especially strikers.

Because he offers lots of attacking potential in one of the Premier League's most attacking sides that is about to host one of the league's worst away sides.

I suspect a lot of Lallana owners look at Coutinho coming back and wish he looked as threatening. However for the price he still offers value and seems to still be playing high up the pitch.

Got rid of Costa last night or Kane as I had just enough funds and worried about price rises/falls.

I'm a little peeved because I reckon Costa could come back this weekend and be in the points against Hull. For all we know he genuinely does have a back problem and will be fit in time for Hull.

The media are always up to no good and could be the same this time around.

Other way of looking at it is... Plymouth on Wednesday, won't play in that.

Next 3 fixtures are SWA, CHE, hul. Followed by... TOT, lei, ARS, BUR, mci, EVE.

Swansea game is perfect for match fitness (Less competitive than United away) I reckon he'll be rested for the Southampton game where Klopp prioritises the league the week after, then we're back to normal? After those fixtures they're beautiful for the run in but that's a long way off.

Not a chance in hell he doesn't play against saints in the cup after their awful first leg showing and knowing puel will come to play for 0-0 and it being a semi final. He starts that one 100% which is why his minutes will/could be managed against Swansea

What's everyone's opinions on their own transfers this season?? I've found they only really come off when they're blindingly obvious, examples..

Fer to Phillips after Fer was dropped.
Cout to Eriksen after Cout was injured.

Those kind of transfers, the less obvious one's (Or risky ones), such as Defoe to Rondon (Before his brace Vs Liverpool), have seemed to fail. Holebas to Ake last week another example, but was way too concerned about value. Also Costa to Giroud, bit of a panic reaction but could have easily paid off this week.

So my latest strategy is only do the transfers I really need to do or aren't at all risky, otherwise I find I'm wasting transfers when I could have 2 ITB for when I really need them. Boring strategy, though but I've been wasting points on silly transfers.

Despite this, GW9 - Rank 1.9m, this week, rank 400k, 10 green out of 12.

Does anyone have any specific rules they follow for FPL, based on past experiences?

Hits are paying off big time for people, this season.

A lot of the people that usually do well are now rising but they're down in the Ml's because they're not taking punts every few weeks.

I had a period of 3 gameweeks back to back where 2 transfers a week scored more than my original team.

I still regret not taking a further hit to get Eriksen or Walker/Rose 6 or 7 gameweeks ago.

Looks like Tom Carroll (4.2) is set to join Swansea. Reckon he'll get a starting place?

Haha, it's a first for me this season! There are still plenty of areas to improve on but with 0.0 ITB, I need to wait to downgrade Hazard to make the moves I want. So will most likely sell him after Hull and use 2 FTs to upgrade Benteke to Lukaku.
