Versus – Coleman and Baines

In retrospect, it seems that a lacklustre defeat at Watford in Gameweek 15 has been the making of Everton’s season.

Since that 3-2 loss at Vicarage Road, the Toffees have finally clicked under Ronald Koeman, chalking up five wins and a draw in the subsequent seven league fixtures.

The Dutchman’s decision to roll out a wing-back system has been key to their recent ascent.

Everton have chalked up four clean sheets in the last five Gameweeks, bringing both Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines onto our radars as the Merseysiders offer the perfect combination of form and fixtures for the foreseeable future.

Identically priced in Fantasy Premier League at 5.6 apiece, and with clashes against Stoke, Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, West Brom and Hull City over the next seven Gameweeks, we assess the Toffees duo’s recent displays as we look for the most appealing route into Koeman’s much-improved rearguard.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

As an FPL prospect Mane is back on my radar but I need to see how the blanks and DGWs lay out before taking such a punt especially with the likes of Sanchez, Eriksen, Alli, Phillips etc performing well it'll be hard to fit him in

Until after the blanks (GW26 and GW28)

    A) Francis, Stanislas and A Carroll (for a hit)

A is for a hit, but has 2 more players (7) from teams with a game guaranteed in GW28.

It is, but I wouldn't judge it off of today's performances.

Arsenal have been able to build their second string for years and Chelsea were managed by Jose who only ever buys ready players. That those players are now in the second team doesn't mean much. Liverpool have been fairly weak for a while and it'll take Klopp time to compile a great squad.

Chelsea game is the one to watch for. If there's one game that Wenger may alter Arsenal's formation with Sanchez up front, it is this. If he doesn't do it vs Chelsea, Giroud will only be dropped if he goes on a scoring drought, in which case, you'll be looking to drop him anyway.

Karanka was vague on the prognosis and said three days ago now - "It's a stress fracture in his foot. I don't know how long [he will be out] because sometimes you think it's going to be one or two weeks and maybe it's three or four."

He'll be red flagged once it's confirmed he's out of the midweek game, which will likely come on Monday.

Well that is a multi answer question. Walcott was great today- so he is the best of that list; however, he played the whole game. Wait for pressers. Carroll is nailed and gives you $itb. Zaha will be nailed if he has travelled back and time adjusted. Antonio and Lanzini -Antonio the better option and another blank week 26 option if you are planing ahead
