The Stock Check – Gameweek 25 – Saturday

Sadio Mane breaks out of the Liverpool malaise. Alexis Sanchez “hands” us a reminder of his near essential status and Gareth McAuley benefits from the most fortuitous of goals to build on his reputation. Here’s the Stock Check following Saturday’s Gameweek 25 action…

On The Rise

Sadio Mane
A sparkling first half performance re-ignited Liverpool and again offered indication that the Senegalese could be the Reds’ midfield solution we’ve been seeking.

The brace against Spurs were his first goals at Anfield since Gameweek 11 – a surprising statistic for a player previously so strong in home matches.

His 16-point return was his biggest haul of the season and enough to see him top the transfers in table overnight.

However, while Liverpool currently face a fixture in Gameweek 26, the FA Cup could yet play havoc with Mane’s schedule.

This report states that, should Millwall take Leicester City to a replay in their fifth round tie next Saturday, Liverpool’s Gameweek 26 fixture could be in jeopardy due to a possible replay date.

Liverpool’s meet with the Foxes is scheduled for Monday February 27, with the Tuesday/Wednesday slot that week set the default date for any fifth round replays.

However, there are possible solutions that are omitted in the report.

Liverpool’s fixture could move back from Monday to Sunday February 26, although that would be subject to restrictions surrounding the broadcasting rights.

Secondly, any potential FA Cup replay could possibly be scheduled for the week beginning March 6, immediately prior to the Quarter Finals.

However, there are Champions League ties scheduled for that week. Leicester City play their second leg with Sevilla in the week of March 13, however, UEFA frown upon fixtures being played out in the same week as European matches – although there have been exceptions.

A third solution would be for the FA to move the potential replay date back to the Saturday prior to Gameweek 26, forcing Leicester to play two crucial matches in three days.

Of course, Mane could also face a blank in Gameweek 28 should Burnley progress to the last eight of the FA Cup by seeing off Lincoln City.

Clearly, there continue to be many unknowns surrounding the Premier League schedule. Holding fire on Mane and other investments until the conclusion of next weekend’s FA Cup ties looks a very wise move.

Alexis Sanchez
The Sanchez brace against Hull City was, undisputedly, less emphatic than Mane’s contribution. Fortune played it’s part in the opener, although the goal scored via his gloved hand followed several opportunities spurned, as the Chilean again stood out as Arsenal’s most potent threat.

Sanchez then benefited from a late spot-kick, having also converted in stoppage time against Burnley back in Gameweek 22.

That appeared to confirm his status as the designated taker behind Olivier Giroud and the injured Santi Cazorla – another major plus.

Arsene Wenger’s decision to keep Sanchez on the pitch, despite Wednesday’s Champions League tie with Bayern Munich, proved vital again, then.

You have to wonder if the Swansea City incident and press questioning following Sanchez’ reaction has made Wenger far more mindful of withdrawing his star man. Although, with Hull City providing testing opponents, arguably there was no question of preserving Sanchez on Saturday.

The Gunners and Sanchez now face a Gameweek 26 blank, with the threat of a further postponement to follow in Gameweek 28. Arsenal need to beat Sutton United in the FA Cup, or for Leicester City to see off Millwall, to confirm that blank.

Sanchez has therefore been subject to sales once again, with Mane and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard proving the most popular replacements thus far. His price will likely fall significantly over the next 21 days.

However, omitting Sanchez for the Gameweek 27 trip to Liverpool appears to be a major risk and, once the blanks are navigated, there are surely fewer assets seen as more “essential”.

Oumar Niasse, Lazar Markovic, Kamil Grosicki
While the Hull City trio failed to deliver returns at the Emirates, their performance in a spirited Hull City display nonetheless gave us renewed confidence on their potential.

Marco Silva’s side are one of six to present us with a guaranteed Gameweek 28 fixture and, while we’ve already begun weighing up their defensive options, Saturday’s display demonstrated that their attack could also offer us solutions.

Manalo Gabbiadini
A Gameweek 26 blank dampens any immediate enthusiasm, but there can be no doubt that Gabbiadini’s performance at Sunderland has put the Southampton striker firmly on the radar.

Two more goals, adding to his debut strike against West Ham last weekend, confirmed the Italian as a clear option once we have steered through the ensuing blanks.

The Saints’ run-in is, however, a mixed bag, without a sustained run of favourable opponents. But acquiring Gabbiadini for successive home matches with strugglers Bournemouth and Crystal Palace in Gameweeks 30 and 31 certainly appears to be a viable strategy.

Manuel Lanzini
The Argentine is at least one standout performer from Saturday’s events unaffected by missing fixtures.

West Ham offer us coverage in both Gameweek 26 and 28 and, while our attention is drawn to Michail Antonio and Robert Snodgrass, Lanzini is making moves to suggest he can provide an effective alternative and differential.

His returns in the 2-2 draw with West Brom took him to two goals and three assists from his last four Gameweek starts.

Sofiane Feghouli, priced at just 5.0, matched Lanzini’s goal and assist but is perhaps less secure as a Hammers option.

Gareth McAuley
Extremely fortuitous to benefit from a Jonny Evans header on goal, McAuley nonetheless has to be acknowledged for earning a fifth strike of the season and yet another from a West Brom corner.

Like Lanzini, he is an asset unaffected by the looming blanks and now faces very favourable home fixtures with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

McAuley appears to be an assured starter, while Chris Brunt, deprived of his assist as a result of yesterday’s decision on Evans’ header, could soon be part of a midfield selection puzzle.

Should Evans be restored to the Baggies central defence and Allan Nyom shifted to left-back, Brunt would then compete for starts with James Morrison and Nacer Chadli.

Both Morrison and Chadli came out of the London Stadium clash with returns, with the former providing the assist for Chadli’s goal. Morrison has now returned in three successive Gameweeks.

Calum Chambers
Once again deployed at right-back against Everton, the Arsenal loanee produced a third clean sheet in five starts and has now delivered bonus in four of his last five Gameweeks.

Middlesbrough are among the sides who could miss Gameweek 28, although Aitor Karanka’s men seem likely to field a weakened side against Oxford United in the fifth round so should not be written off as an available option just yet.

Seamus Coleman
Everton claimed a fourth clean sheet in six at the Riverside Stadium and, while Coleman failed to provide attacking returns this time out, he still remained a key figure.

The right-back claimed a bonus point thanks to four successful tackles, although he also attempted five crosses having received more passes in the attacking third than any other Toffees player.

In Decline

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
While the double-digit haul for Alexis Sanchez reinforced his reputation, Ibrahimovic failed to punish a Watford defence at Old Trafford to cast doubt on his mid-term future in our squads.

The assist for Anthony Martial’s goal provided some consolation for the 22% who trusted him with the armband and he has now returned a goal or an assist in ten of 13 Gameweeks.

However, like Sanchez, Ibrahimovic will suffer significant sales ahead of the Gameweek 26 blank and is perhaps likely to be identified as more disposable.

Despite peppering Watford’s goal, the Swede has produced a single strike in his last four Gameweeks and, depending on Saturday’s FA Cup results, could now struggle to see off claims from Romelu Lukaku, Diego Costa and Harry Kane for our forward slots once we emerge from the blank fixtures.

The Gameweek 27 Old Trafford meeting with Bournemouth is the one major factor in his favour.

Many Ibrahimovic owners will surely either hold or schedule his return for that match-up. However, having failed to score at home to both Hull City and Watford in his last two home outings, we should perhaps remain wary.

Matt Phillips
It would be folly to write off Phillips heading into two home fixtures with both Palace and Bournemouth. With an assured fixture for Gameweek 28, he remains a key asset for this period.

However, having failed to return a goal or an assist in previous five, clearly, there are question marks surrounding his output and we perhaps need to manage our expectations.

Arguably, Phillips came into this period having over delivered. His nine assists delivered up to Gameweek 20 had been produced from just 30 chances created: he matched Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne for assists during this spell, despite creating 50% fewer chances.

Regression was always likely.

However, while Chadli and Morrison remain options in the Baggies midfield, Phillips appears more secure and, despite the wobble, he’s an asset that should be held and considered for acquisition.

Andy Carroll
Unlike Phillips, the dent to Carroll’s stock is far more damaging.

Carroll has the fixtures to provide us with an option but, having failed to train ahead of Saturday’s West Brom encounter, he missed out.

Typically, the Hammers striker just cannot seem to overcome ongoing groin problems to offer us a degree of security. A player cursed by injury concerns throughout his career, it’s clear that we cannot invest with any real confidence.

Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli
With home fixtures with Stoke City and Everton to follow and missing assets to address, there is little need to reach for the panic button just yet.

Nonetheless, Spurs are now troubling us as a source of attacking points, having scored just a single goal in their last three Gameweeks.

That has damaged the reputation of their three principle options, who could all face a blank in Gameweek 28 should Mauricio Pochettino’s side see off Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Wilfried Zaha
While showing flashes, Zaha has failed to fire on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Having delivered three successive blanks over a spell of favourable fixtures, Zaha and Palace are now edging into a testing period in their schedule and with a Gameweek 28 blank a strong possibility, Zaha’s stock, along with that of long declining Christian Benteke, continues to fall.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Morning all. Spare a thought for me today. As mentioned in my preamble, I'm booked at my son's party all day so having to snatch score flashes on my phone.

I've only got five players and Siggy captain to distract me.

That damn goal. Ironically I'd like to say that, had the Premier League not introduced Match Centre - effectively a fast track dubious goals panel - then we'd never have such incidents.

However, it was Opta that gave it to McAuley so it would have been the case regardless.

At least, with Match Centre folk can be re-assured that it got a thorough assessment.

Done with posting on this, though. Posted lots of times last night. Hopefully we might see the angles used to arrive at the decision at some point.

The prices and sales will be particular crazy this week

I would tend to agree and a fair calculated risk to take out Sanchez for hazard this week avoid the drops and keep ibra for Bournemouth then

This a few weeks without Sanchez may be possible , risky but have other players in the game , will get him back but timing is key as always and he will be cheaper to by gw 29 if blanks in gw 28 also

    Moving Jonty's original post...

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Last week 75,000 FPL managers got rid of Alexis Sanchez before a home game before Hull.

This weekend 28,000 FPL managers have drafted in Gabbiadini who doesn’t play next Gameweek.

These are two of the oddest statistics I’ve seen in Fantasy Football.

Most I’ve asked who have made such moves say it is to catch price rises and falls. Does this mean that the transfer system is officially broken when player prices, not whether a player has a good fixture, form or is even playing, govern the market?

And what effect does that have on our teams, where player prices are shooting up and down based on such sillybillyness.

Or should we just welcome the fact that so many Fantasy managers are willing to give us an instant advantage, even if they are affecting our team’s selling and buying powers?

I thought FPL might let people know by red flagging the players who aren't playing next gameweek? Makes sense but doesn't happen. If someone goes off to AFCON they are flagged but playing in a cup final that aren't?

I think the problem is an the fpl site when you look at the player fixtures the blank is missing so if you follow the colours indicator it all looks good

You still had Sanchez, that's key. Captaincy is one thing...but removing him before that game is odd. In fact removing Ibra before Watford would have been odd too.

But yes, you are right...I more than welcome such managers giving me a helping hand...just wonder why they value price over points so much.

I do long for a slower transfer market if its being governed by such craziness though.

I can't understand people letting 'transfer value' rule their decisions. Do they think the money gets you extra points at the end? Maybe if you'll be priced out of a move you were going to do anyway. But I guess we should be grateful as it allows us to rocket up the ranks.

It's really badly marked out on the FPL website. (Not that I mind because my ML rivals are no way getting 11 out next gameweek without hits).
If you look at Jesus for example, all you'll see are three lovely green fixtures. Only when u look at the numbers on the left you see there's a gameweek missing. Guess it favours the planners that frequent this site though.

No, there's no blank highlighted at all. Last year there was a hyphen where the opponent was supposed to be, I believe (if there was a blank). This year, all fixtures are squeezed together and only indicator is the gameweek number on the left. If you don't know what GW you're on its hard to understand.

The price fluctuations are annoyingly a big factor. Because I have paid attention to the upcoming GW26, my squad is such that I can happily bench Sanchez and Ibra and field a pretty good starting 11 with an active player on the bench.
However, if they are both going to drop by 0.3 each then I am probably looking at taking a hit to avoid the price drops.

I don't care about the Sanchez drops - he's going nowhere and the only incentive to move him out is to make some cash.

Ibrahimovic is different but loathed to make a move on him until I know the FA Cup shake-up.

Sanchez has blank, away trip to a Liverpool side that kept Tottenham at bay then a very likely blank. He's very ditchable now...but make that move on fixtures not price. If you want to keep, just keep him....as by GWK 31 his price will go through the roof.

I'll be making sure he's in my team from then no matter what.

I am with you on not selling Sanchez. Assuming you get rid of Ibra, would do you captain in GW27? Can't see any other options and United would have had a few weeks of rest. Ibra might just be a must have for GW27 no?

Ibra is the obvious captain choice in GWK 27. Jesus away to Sunderland another. Siggy possibly at home to Burnley.

                I agree. Question is now those who have Ibra do they;
                1. Sell and buy back for 27
                2. Sell and go without for 27
                3. Just bench

Obvious this depends on the rest of people's teams and who they selling Ibra for ie Costa, Lukaku if they don't already have them.

Pretty simple for me. I bought at 11.3, held while he fell to 11.1, held while he rose to 11.7 and don't give a damn what happens to his price this week either. I want him as captain in GW27 and won't be wasting FTs on removing a player I want to keep.

Sanchez is different. He's fully expendable as far as I am concerned. Who is he going to hurt with blank-liv-blank?

Price changes do seem ott this season. Don't know if that's an algo change, increase in player numbers without appropriate algo change, or just increased player awareness/herding via here & fpl etc.

Doesn't really matter per se, but does change how the game is played to some extent. I'd prefer all teams having better information about stuff like blanks, but with a quid pro quo of tweaking rate of price changes.

If there is an early move this week on selling Sanchez then it will snowball. There could easily be 2 big price drops on Sanchez - this week & GW28. If you have 75,000 prepared to take him out before Hull (h) then a blank must have an even bigger effect on the more skittish players.
You have to feel that many will ignore Ibra at home to Bournemouth in their selling plans and he could have big drops over next few weeks.
It could come down to whether you're prepared to take a hit to them out (then in again) & bank the money.
Same argument applies that (particularly for GW 28) Siggy & Barkley could see large rises as they are the 2 highest profile mids guaranteed 3 games. The other obvious big ownership move could be Ibra to Lukaku ( again with Lukaku being the biggest striker in GW28)
The "volatility" potential is such that some managers could be looking at adding a lot of value.

I think the only real issue is transparency. If fpl makes them a clear part of the game, then players (all kinds) get to make informed choices.

Right now, it seems like there are several moves made out of fear and uncertainty around price changes.

Fear and uncertainty should continue to drive how we choose to try and get maximum points, not how interpret the rules of the game itself.

What I don't understand is why all the fuss over 28000 players when the league has 4,390,466 players. 28000 is only .006%

It still means that players price is going to increase. Some managers may look at Gabbiadini in a week or two but now instead of him being £6.5m he may well be £6.7/£6.8.

There's no denying the fact our transfer moves are heavily linked to the price changes. I would love to just look at my team on a Friday night and make some decisions then. I'm basically forced to keep an eye on it the entire week incase any of my players are dropping/falling.

Agreed, it's massively shaping the way I play the game. With TFF I make my changes on the Friday night or even the hour between teams being announced and kick off, it gives you a chance to react to injuries or unexpected benchings. With FPL I find myself making my changes for the following week the few hours after the previous deadline. If you wait till later in the week you find that you are short of the funds required sometimes.

Well, it isn't a bad strategy, depends what way you're looking at it. I removed Sanchez for Barkley in GW24, Sanchez overscored Barkley by just 2 points, and in the next three gameweeks Barkley has 3 games, Sanchez most likely only 1.

There's no doubt that Sanchez is nearly essential player, and I will immediately get him in after the blanks. But for now, I think this was the best solution.

It's just the standard points chasing that drives most price changes. The people making these moves just don't look at fixtures.

Nobody is buying Gabbiadini for a price rise. Those that are invested enough in FPL to play the value game know he has a blank and won't touch him because of it.

If people are transferring because of price drops rather than looking at fixtures and form...then yeah, it's broken.

This season, there appears to be (certainly on here), reams and reams of posts of the form:

"these 3 players to these other 3 players for -8? Need to do it right now...got exact money"

...so for some players on here, the basic, logical discipline of fantasy football has gone away...things like:

        - don't take too many hits

        - look forward beyond the next fixture when transferring

        - always run a small surplus of ~1m ITB to give yourself breathing room when transferring, allowing you to absorb price changes or re-structure your squad without major surgery

...surprising since these players are interested in fantasy football to the extent they're searching for articles and opinion on here...you'd expect them to be a cut-above what gets labelled as "casual"

I think the market maybe wasn't a factor last season cos all the essential players (any Leicester, Alli, Kane, Ozil, Payet...) were all affordable and budgeting wasn't really needed.

But this season it's all about heavy hitters...most "essentials" being 10m+.

There's no real excuse for the FPL official site not to make it blatantly obvious what the fixture schedule is, including blanks.

Maybe this site could make the fixture calendar an ever present on the site, including listing blanks and probabilities of potential blanks to fill the gap...not a season ticker, but something similar.

Also, maybe there should be an ever-present articles section teaching the basics of "good" fantasy football playing methodology...beginners guides etc. to help educate new players?

        (that's a word wang!)

A lot of so called "casual" players in mini leagues play the game with a full squad of picks. They'll just take the view that they'll buy a player whist he's cheap and bench him this week and play somebody else. I doubt they feel the need to think it through at all.

We have to remember that this game isn't really made for us FPL fruitcakes...it's made for Bob the fork lift truck driver in a mini league with Jeff from accounts.

Instead of daily price changes, could FPL towers just change the player prices every 5 gameweeks or something, based on ownership/points scored/playing time/position etc.? Just like they do at the start of the season?

This would prevent people that check price change sites from having an advantage over more 'casual' players.
(FPL would have a section for upcoming price changes if they actually wanted you to know them all)

It would prevent everyone having/not having a player when it becomes clear that they are under/overpriced.
(They could have increased Mahrez/Vardy to 10.0 (7.0 -> 9.0 -> 10.0) last season to avoid everyone having them. Rooney could have been lowered to 8.0 to encourage people to pick him)

We also wouldn't have to worry about being priced out by 0.1 on moves for next week.

The obvious issue is that anyone that already had Mahrez/Vardy before that price changes would have an advantage, you could argue that the decision to have them early on should be rewarded anyway?

BUT if this is a problem - maybe all teams could have a fixed budget that increases slightly throughout the season, just like the McDonalds Euro fantasy game when it gets to the latter knockout stages.
(If your team goes overbudget as a result, you are forced to return your team to within budget the next time you want to make a transfer, just like when you have 4 players from the same team after a real-life transfer)

Could this work? How would the dynamics of the game change?

This season has definitely been the wackiest in terms of transfers.
I think the fact that theres over 4 million players means it takes a smaller percentage to drive transfer activity as i dont think algorithim has changed as price changes are so rapid.
Gabiadinni is rising this week in price but next week when he doesn't play he will be sold for the cheap striker that hauls in GW26, so his price will drop.

It is unlikely you are speaking to casuals though, who don't really play the "price" / stock market game.

It's a pretty straightforward, easy answer and one we have witnessed over the last 12-13 years playing this game. (I know you were there in the beginning too, Mark!)

A casual player sees Gabbiadani scoring 2 goals on the TV highlight package and just goes in and buys him without checking fixtures/blanks. Don't think it's price-chasing at all that moves these markets, it is just casual football fans. That's where more informed players gain advantage, always have, always will...

I agree that the price changes have gone a bit crazy this season, but the idea that the Sanchez drop/ Gabbiadini rise is driven by usually-informed players being forced to play the price game is false.

Top 10k ownership for Sanchez only went from 79% to 76.4% between gw24-25 (since he blanked in 24 most of this would be down to non Sanchez owning teams jumping up in the rankings) and i'd bet that Gabbiadini ownership doesn't rise significantly in this bracket by next gw as well. Bottom line is - casuals gonna casual.

So many comments, but it seems so simple to me. Take advantage of people's bad decisions!

People sold Sanchez when they shouldn't have. Others held him and did well. We need to ignore what others do and do what we think will work.

Volatile prices punish people more, it makes the game more difficult. We radical fpl lovers should be happy that there is another factor that allows us to pull away if we play the game well.

What you are saying is over simplistic as the wild swings in value have a huge effect on our buying power to try and beat these casuals. With so many playing the laws of average means that a lot of them will get lucky with the early transfer strategy and patient players may struggle for value.

Maybe if we can't beat casuals they aren't so casual, or we're just not that good 😉

I've waited until Friday to make transfers all year and have a TV of 106. It's obviously more volatile but people with 104 TV (Ronka) are still doing well. Chips are still to come too.

There is just an extra dimension and more risk in waiting, and more risk in making early transfers. More risk is good.

I'm not saying we can't beat the casuals I'm saying you are dismissing the effect the value swings are having on the game.

You have a great value and this always happens when you are doing well but unfortunately the pressures to make moves due to players rising or falling 0.3 for very little reason are not good for the game imo. Casuals and vets alike end up caught in the crossfire.

This game is supposed to be a strategic fantasy football game based on picking players to score points not a fantasy share trader game.

People will say play another game so and maybe this is the answer but I hope not. I used to love championship manager too but lost the love for it when it became more about background stuff than the football and tactics.

I guess. I think my main issue is I find there's always so much talk on here about how to change the game. I wish we could kind of put those thoughts aside and focus on trying to beat the game in front of us instead of imagining how we could change it, or what rules would make us do better.

I'm not against changing the way the price changes happen but I wish we talked about it less 🙂

Yeah same here, it is an annoyance I would rather we didn't have to bear. The only way it becomes less of a factor next season is by folks on hear debating it and hopefully fpl towers taking note and changing the algorithm to be more like it was a few years ago.

This seems similar to the (in my opinion) crazy argument that the chips are bad. The chips keep casuals interested, and in that way succeed. They also benefit the people who put a lot of thought into the game and play them at the best times!

People who complain that the game is skewed towards the people who have the most facts and make the most of them seem to be asking for a simpler game, or a game with even more chance involved.

Let's play the game and not try to change it all the time!

Plus the GW rank chasers, who take multiple hits at will (& playing chips earlier than most). Many of which may only have joined fpl well after the initial couple months of the season, creating squads of template form players.

I am not keen on all the assistance given to casual players. Partly because it has made it easier to do well (better than me in most cases!) without having to delve deep into stats, research etc.

For most of us here, that is the big part of playing the game - to do all that legwork and feel vindicated by our strategies, time and effort.

My point is that with the Scout advice on FPL, casuals have easily 2 minute digestible advice handed to them, rendering our legwork pointless. By the same token, if blank gameweeks and double gameweeks were further flagged for casuals, what would be left for us obsessives?

Let them be sillybillys I say, but the price rises should be much harder to trigger.

Ibra is consistent at missing good chances, he's setting people up for heartbreak in GW27 as captain.

I own him and doubt I'd sell him but I'm not sure about captaining him, he's hardly put 'weaker' sides to the sword.

You never know in football, thats the love of the game. People on here see one play score a goal, and suddenly he is a must have. Another player has one bad game, and suddenly everyone wanna sell.

I agree. Makes sense given the way the fixtures have fallen.

May or may not be Hazard though ----alot will depend on the Fa Cup results.

Minus 8 to transfer him out and back in. I'm not convinced. I'll be keeping.

I saved two to give myself the option of doing Ibra and Sanchez out for Costa and Hazard (or two others ) then getting Ibra back Gwk 27. Seems sensible to make use of that patience advantage when others will be taking hits.

1FT and transferring Walcott out for
        A) Lanzini
        B) Antonio
        C) Grosicki
        D) N'Diaye

I'm benching Ibra and Sanchez for the blanks. Would you also take a -4 to take out Lovren for
        1) Cresswell
        2) Mawson
        3) Robertson
        4) Maguire

        Thanks in advance.

I agree I'm planning on 9. To have 11 would be overkill on those 6 teams. I'm hoping one more game drops in (SOU v MAN) as Blackburn beat United so I get 11 out.

If you are planning a GW36 WC, or especially have already used WC, once the blanks are known are you better off having on the sidelines in GW28 those that blank in both GW26 and GW28, rather than those who play GW26 and blank GW28? The reason for this is in the last 10 GWs of the season (GW29 to 38), those that blank 26 and 28 will have 12 games to play, and those that blank 28 only will just have 11. Could save on some transfers trying to get more DGWers in at some point.

Good advice. Though I'll probably get exemplars like Mane in even if they only have 1 dgw.

Not if one of United, City or Arsenal reach the FA Cup Semi Final which clashes with GW34.

Alexis hasn't ripped it up vs the good teams, I think I'll be happy enough to manage without him until after the Man City game. Gw 31 might be the time to get him back.

That's fair enough. Only thing that stops me from doing that is his price. If he does well a couple weeks his price could skyrocket to the point one would have to take multiple hits to get him back in again.

I would drop Sanchez and Capoue for Sig and a WHU mid (Antonio, Lanzini, Snodgrass whoever you prefer), next week Mee -> Cresswell and GW 28 Benteke -> Lukaku i believe the funds are enough and you ll have enough players for GW 28
