Paddy Says

Paddy Says – Gameweek 26

Football – the gift that keeps on giving people the sack.

Paddy, however, gives you Anytime Goalscorer and Clean Sheet odds. No sack. Just odds.

And he also dishes out tempting Enhanced Offers to new customers joining this weekend, so that is where we’ll start.

Just the three prices today, but they’re all belters, starting with the 5-1 you can get on Chelsea to beat Swansea. That’s the Chelsea who’ve won 11 of their 12 home matches this season, in case you’d forgotten.

If you think no Claudio means no silver lining for Leicester City, then you’ve got to be interested in the 7-1 on offer for Liverpool to prevail at the King Power.

And then there’s the EFL Cup final which, obviously, isn’t a Premier League match but contains two EPL teams, so the 8-1 available on Manchester United beating Southampton demands to be mentioned.

Enhanced winnings are credited in free bets. Be sure to check the terms and conditions that apply on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18 or over. If you’re going to wager, please always gamble responsibly.

With perennially popular captaincy pick Zlatan Ibrahimovic on an EFL Cup Zlabbatical and Alexis Sanchez with the weekend off to spend uploading shots of his dogs to Instagram, Romelu Lukaku (1.66) has emerged as the favourite armband-wearer this week.

Everton entertain a Sunderland side that probably stunned themselves by winning their last away match 4-0. Normal order was restored a week later when the Black Cats lost 4-0 at home to Southampton and over 200,000 Fantasy managers have loaded up on the big Belgian this week – only Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has gained more owners.

If Lukaku’s price is a bit too short for you, Ross Barkley’s 2.60 might be more to your liking.

Swansea City are on the up, but there are limits, and playing at Stamford Bridge is one of them. Chelsea have scored in every single home match this season, while the Swans have kept just the one clean sheet away. Small wonder then that both Diego Costa (1.57) and Eden Hazard (1.83) are solid choices for captaincy duty this Gameweek.

They’re also both in the top five for transfers-in, but a kinder price might tempt you into a punt on Pedro (2.50).

Spurs are out of the Europa League and a number of their bigger names are being escorted from many a Fantasy team, most notably Dele Alli – the fifth most transferred-out player of the Gameweek.

A Sunday home fixture with Stoke City still looks tempting, however, although Harry Kane (1.72) has failed to make it into the majority of managers’ captaincy calculations. But the 2.40 on Alli and the 2.60 on Christian Eriksen to score could reap rewards.

As mentioned above, the most popular purchase this week has been Sadio Mane, although many managers bought into him before the Ranieri rumpus. He’s at 2.50 to punish the Foxes for their infidelity.

Burnley don’t really do away clean sheets, although the one they’ve managed matches the number of points they’ve accrued on the road so they don’t really do anything away but lose. If that’s the case at Hull City, then the 2.87 on Oumar Niasse to score his second goal in three matches looks sound.

No surprises that Chelsea top the odds for a clean sheet this weekend, although they’ve failed to do just that for the last three Gameweeks.

Swansea are clearly in a good way under Paul Clement, and the last time they were blanked on their travels was in Gameweek 17, but Chelsea could be a Stamford Bridge too far for them.

Palace have gone five home matches without a clean sheet, but Middlesbrough’s toothless attack goes a long way to explaining the Eagles’ low 2.00 price on them stopping the defensive rot today. Boro have scored just once in their last five attempts on the road, after all.

The 3.20 on the visitors keeping things clean looks equally tempting – the fixture has more than a hint of 0-0 about it.

Elsewhere, if Leicester’s players can get over being booed by their own fans when Liverpool visit on Monday, the 5.50 available on them remembering how they did things defensively last season could be worth a look.

So wanted to do Ibra 》 Costa -4, been mulling it over for nearly 2 weeks, but backed out. The potential Cieth DGW and the general landscape of fixtures has led me to keep some hits in hand as it were.

This will be so waste of funds if he only gets one goal, though. that will be 6-9 points in 3 effective gameweeks. And you will probably captain a city player anyway?

have I missed something, why is Coutinho not gettig a mention anywhere and just dropped in price

understand the Mane hype but surely hes worth a shout and a better option than Firmino

      I agree:

First 12 GW the Liverpool midfielder scored like this:

      Coutinho 77 points
      Firmino 70 points
      Mané 64 points
      Lallana 61 points

But who will score the most the last 12?

His form is the worst out of the 3. That could change at any time, of course. But better to be a week late than 3 weeks early. Or so the old saying goes.

Risky, I would have gone with Lukaku to cancel out their points. If he hauls you could be hurt seriously

Which is the better transfer this week:

    A) Holebas to Funes Mori (extra GW28 player)
    B) Giroud to Costa

    Opinions appreciated!!

I hope he is right - great team for those with Brunt and Phillips.

Hopefully he has the inside track on any "knocks" too.

I have been stalking the WBA forums this morning and there is noting more than speculation. Without wanting to cause alarm here, but one of the mods does leave Philips out of his predicted line up with a "hamstring issue"

Is it crazy to bench Siggy for Maguire this week?
Need to catch a big gap so looking at 5 defence:
    Alonso Brunt Walker Coleman Maguire
    Mane Hazard Alli (Phillips Siggy)

Is Davies nailed? If not, how's bringing in Barkley for a hit?

Only Siggy on the bench and he may well be on for Carroll.

    Thanks in advance!

No leave it. Not worth a -4
Davies is not s guaranteed starter. But he'll get mins and he is a threat.

    I own Jaku so do I ...

    A) get Mawson 4.5

    B) get Maguire 4.4

If I go Masson I may have to watch price rises more carefully

Mawson, assuming you are not doing it for this GW.

Do we know what potential juicy fixtures the other DGW's could provide?

So for example City have 2 pretty good fixtures they'd be hoping to win for their double game week (if it goes ahead)

Is it yet possible to see (although not confirmed) what teams are likely to meet in other DGW's?

    Thanks!

Someone done an excellent analysis on this a day or 2 ago and I can't for the life of me find it. But in a nutshell it concluded that, if you still have your bench boost chip & plan to use that in 37, then this (potential) City/Aguero DGW is about as good as it gets. for the TC.

        Hey - Thanks for that.

I was thinking there can't be much better opportunities than this.

Was just checking that Arsenal or Chelsea or Liverpool don't have a potentially amazing double gw

It has been touted that GW37 could well be Leic (H) Stoke (A) for Arsenal, so those who have played their bench boost might like the look of that.

Another great case for Ageuro TC was made here...

Is Amat to Robertson (-4) worth it? I'd play him in 4 of the next 6 (BUR, SWA, WHU, MID).

Netley thinks you should buy Maguire instead.

I agree Maguire is the better pick in the next 3, but with Davies/Dawson being available in 3/4 weeks, Robertson seems safer over the next 6.

Hull will switch to a back 3 when Dawson and Davis return.
