FFS Cup

The Scout Cups Reminder

With 13 days remaining until domestic action resumes, we thought we’d remind you of the two Fantasy Football Scout cups that are still open to enter.

As mentioned last week, we have launched our 14th open-to-all tournament, along with a tenth Members competition.

We are offering up £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Non-members can sign up to the open tournament here.

Our members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

Timetable

The qualifying round for both Cups was Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

It’s not too late to get involved, though, if you haven’t done so already.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday March 27 – ie, a week today – when we’ll stop entry and make the first round draws shortly after.

The first round will consist of 512 teams and, as usual, all the previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw, where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 29.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames to gain their bye.

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

FFS Cups Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 29
Round 1 – 512 teams – Gameweek 30
Round 2 – 256 teams – Gameweek 31
Round 3 – 128 teams – Gameweek 32
Round 4 – 64 teams – Gameweek 33
Round 5 – 32 teams – Gameweek 34
Round 6 – 16 teams – Gameweek 35
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 36
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 37
Final and third place play-off – 2 teams – Gameweek 38

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline. The first round draw will be made and published shortly after March 27.

Overall prizes

1st Place: £200 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Voucher

Entry Details

After entering the cups via the links above, you will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry.

You’ll also be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number or your Gameweek History URL in the FPL id field on the entry form.

You entry is only confirmed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter. You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.

    Heaton
    Alonso, Holebas, Mawson
    Sanchez, Mane, Eriksen, King
    Lukaku, Carroll, Llorente

    Pickford, Coleman, Fletcher, Evans
    1FT, 5.2m ITB

    A. Evans to Valencia (doesn't leave enough cash for Carroll/Llorente to Ibra)
    B. Carroll/Llorente to Vardy/Costa
    C. Save

Coleman to Valencia doesn't look too bad. Would have preferred Evans to Valencia but since it doesn't get you enough for Ibra, think Coleman could go now.

Yah, I still consider Coleman as a season keeper so that could be painful and he definitely can do good against Pool

Good move. Rest of the teams looks good but monitor Sanchez.

Would prefer Vardy (STK, SUN) for the next 2 though.

    Best option out of these?

    A) Baines & Brunt ➡ Valencia & Walker (-4)

    B) Baines & Carroll ➡ Valencia & Costa/Vardy (-4)

    C) Baines, Brunt & Carroll ➡ Valencia, Walker & Vardy (-8)

    D) Baines, Brunt & Carroll ➡ Valencia, Rose/Davies & Costa (-8)

I will captain Costa or Vardy if get them but I don't think both can get more than a goal. If I don't get them I will captain Siggy(c).

Walker & Valencia seem like long term transfers whereas as I will want Ibra over Vardy/Costa soon.

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Would be tempted to go with B.

Think you can keep Vardy until 33 over Ibra, and then transfer him out before Ibra's DGW. Also gives you a pretty explosive Captaincy option this week

STK is going to be a frustrating defence for Vardy. Not sure if he's going to be as explosive this week.

Don't rate Stoke away from home too much. With the form Leicester are in atm, I won't bank against them.

If you have decent defensive cover on the bench, I wouldn't be taking a -8. Usually they don't pay off instantly. Keep the hits for another rainy day.

My defence is shambles this week.

Baines & Coleman (liv), Brunt (mun), Chambers! (swa), Yoshida (BOU).

I'm possible look at a wildcard soon too so I'm not worried about taking a (-8) if it looks worth it.

Got 4 of those 5. Difference being Alonso for Baines.

Wait on the news on Chambers, wouldn't mind playing him against Swansea if it saves that hit. Yoshida at BOU is definitely playable.

I'd say stick to the (-4) if Chambers returns.

Yup probably going to wait on more news.

My plan is to stick to (-4) if Chambers returns.

Have same dilemma, rly struggling what to do now and I'm also partially considering your options. I know one thing - I would definitely get rid of Brunt

            7 years, 1 month ago

            Yup that's what I'm thinking.

But I'm a missing a trick by not getting the Costa or Vardy this week?

                7 years, 1 month ago

And one more reason I don't want to get an expensive striker is if Sanchez returns in GW31(WHU) I definitely want him in my team.

I'm tempted by A. I think it could deliver me some consistent points till end of the season.

    Pedro | Eriksen | Mané | Sigurdsson | King

    Costa | Llorente | Lukaku

I'm currently out the loop regards DGWs and the likes. From this lot who should I be looking to release and who bring in? Just some ideas would be great:

    Heaton - Foster
    Baines - McAuley - Robertson - Yoshida - Fernandez
    Mane - Alli - Siggy - King - Capoue
    Aguero - Lukaku - Carroll

    1 x FT, 4.2m ITB

Also who should I definitely be holding on to?

    Please and thank you....

        Cheers Nets:

        1. Keep Baines, cause of fixtures & Everton def ownership? And also on penos lol, hic
        2. Keep Yoshida cause cheap and has DGW?
        3. McAuley first to go?
        4. Which one from Robertson & Fernandez could also make way?

        Worth getting Walker & Valencia?

        1. The Head-Ake
          • 7 Years

          Robertson out.
Not too sure about Baines, I would have kept if it was Coleman instead.
Keep Yoshida for the DGW and yes do lose McAuley ASAP.

Baines to Walker and Robertson to Valencia pehaps?

My concern is fixture congestion for Utd. Have they not potentially got the most games between now and season end?

I suppose the one good thing is Valencia doesn't have much competition for his spot, certainly not like the other three def positions.

Who could play instead of him?

Not based on his PL minutes. Played all 270' over Christmas/NY.
He has not been rotated in the PL so far this season.

He is a footballer, it's his job. Playing twice in a week? Christ I played 3 times a day when I could LOL 😉

Maybe for me too, Jafooli, but he could well go for Vardy! Not sure yet, could hold on this week and swap for Ibra in 31 though...

Nah, definitely not, it's just international break needs to pass before any further changes are made to my team! What if Kun limps off lol

Yeah agreed....reckon he'll just keep Kane/Ibra place warm for the time being

Carroll can become Vardy if required......snake, hissss

    Hi all

Got the perfect money atm to do Vardy© + Yoshi in for Llorente and RFM... Probably the best move to hope I can do in 2 weeks, right?

    Randolph / Jaku
Alonso Coleman Pieters / Brunt RFM*
Siggy Mane Eriksen Antonio / Fletcher
    Kun Llorente* Kaku
    3.0 itb

    Would start Yoshi, captain Vardy.
Also watching Antonio - could go Tadic if he's out!

    Thanks!!

    Alder or Walker?

Alder definitely more nailed when they have 3 fixtures in 7 days.
Also he's been so close to getting a goal so many times this season hopefully he can get a couple in the last few games.

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Walker by a mile, in this formation Vertonghen is (intriguingly) taking some of Bavies's attacking duties, Toby is so much last season right now.

If it were me, I'd do Toby but that's purely because my ML all seem to own Walker.

In pure terms , Kyle's your man. But at this stage, with saturated ownership, I'd be looking elsewhere

    Heaton, Pickford
Coleman, Funes Mori, Holebas, Brunt, Robertson
    Coutinho, Mane, Ericksen, Siggy, TCarrol
