FFS Cup

The Scout Cups Reminder

With 13 days remaining until domestic action resumes, we thought we’d remind you of the two Fantasy Football Scout cups that are still open to enter.

As mentioned last week, we have launched our 14th open-to-all tournament, along with a tenth Members competition.

We are offering up £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Non-members can sign up to the open tournament here.

Our members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

Timetable

The qualifying round for both Cups was Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

It’s not too late to get involved, though, if you haven’t done so already.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday March 27 – ie, a week today – when we’ll stop entry and make the first round draws shortly after.

The first round will consist of 512 teams and, as usual, all the previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw, where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 29.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames to gain their bye.

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

FFS Cups Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 29
Round 1 – 512 teams – Gameweek 30
Round 2 – 256 teams – Gameweek 31
Round 3 – 128 teams – Gameweek 32
Round 4 – 64 teams – Gameweek 33
Round 5 – 32 teams – Gameweek 34
Round 6 – 16 teams – Gameweek 35
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 36
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 37
Final and third place play-off – 2 teams – Gameweek 38

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline. The first round draw will be made and published shortly after March 27.

Overall prizes

1st Place: £200 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Voucher
3rd Place: £50 Voucher

Entry Details

After entering the cups via the links above, you will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry.

You’ll also be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number or your Gameweek History URL in the FPL id field on the entry form.

You entry is only confirmed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of current entries.

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter. You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.

Thoughts on those 2 for 2 FTs:
    McAuley & Coutinho ➡ Yoshida & Allii

    Should I go for it?

Or maybe just McAuley ➡ Yoshida for now, and give Coutinho one more chance in the derby clash?

Do you have a WC left? If so I wouldn't be bothering getting in Yoshida until then.

A lot could change in regards to the exact players I will want but a GW37 BB can have a decent team with 15 double gameweekers.

I can afford the following team. My current SV is 105.4m

    Cech / Pickford
    Koscielny / Valencia / Alonso / Kone / Yoshida
    Sanchez / Sterling / Sane / Ali / Pedro
    Kane / Gabbiadini / Defoe

What about this for a 2 week punt?

Lukaku (liv, man u) --> Vardy (STO, SUN)

Like Vardy's 2 home games there lukaku is a bit hit and miss vs big teams (mainly miss)

I'm considering similar...but may do Aguero to Vardy instead. Aguero also has two potentially tricky ones and Lukaku.

Depends how much value you'd lose on Kaku. Surely you'd want him back in for 32 and 33.

Yeah I'd definitely get him back in after 2. But as mentioned below I'd lose 0.2/3 on him..

Just want to put some weight behind the idea of a United double up in defence. Mourinho will want to keep it tight till the end of the season and Jones starts every game when fit. He's an excellent price and perfect partner to Valencia.

Not much value in attack outside of Ibra so to me it makes sense to spend less and double up at the back.

That's fine, but other defensive SGW monsters have great 34's.

You sure Jones will start every game when fit?

Mourinho has been rotating every single defender through every comp. We'll have a packed fixture schedule then. No CB is nailed imo.

If there would ever be a time that a persistent crock like Jones would get rotated, it would be during a double gameweek.

Could be gold but it's a risky strategy.

    hello All,

    1 FT 0.0m ITB

    Pickford (Caballero)
    Alonso, Valencia, Vertonghen (Coleman, Yoshi)
    Sanchez, Mane, Alli, Siggy, King
    Costa, Lukaku (Gabbi)

Early thinking is that I will save FT as long as Sanchez is fit and then have 2FT in GW31 to sort out Gabbi if required or whatever else needs fixing. Even if Sanchez is out, I may just start Coleman or Yoshi and still save FT.

    Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions?

Got my benching headache wrong last GW (Benched Lanzini :|).. Going to have an issue again next week, barring injury.. Who to bench here other than the obvious Foster + Nyom?

    Heaton - Foster
    Valencia - Alonso - Jones - Coleman - Nyom
    Coutinho - Firmino - Lanzini - Siggy - Walcott
    Aguero - Lukaku - Llorente

      Wrong.

Mou's style is completely the opposite. It's that clean sheets win games and titles.

I expect Mou to focus on tightening up the defence now we are at the business end. Mou likes to win a game 1-0 rather than 3-2.

I know this is way early and a lot can/will change, but I've had a go at 36 WC for 37 BB to see what my team value (SV 105.2m) can achieve. All play twice.

    Foster, Pickford
    Alonso, Valencia, Fuchs, Yoshida, Nyom
    Sanchez, Alli, Sterling, Pedro, Redmond
    Kane, Ibra, Gabbiadini

Not many cheap players to choose from. Look ok?

        Regrets include:

        - no spurs defence
        - WBA defense due to price constraints
        - Pedro not my first choice of Chelsea attack

If Sanchez goes walkabout by then could release him for some funds.

Would next week be a good week for AoA?

    Currently have;

    Heaton
    Alonso, Coleman, Brunt
    Lanzini, Mane, Sane, Siggy
    Costa, Lukaku, Gabbi

    Grant / Marney, Holgate, Amat

Contemplating doing Marney > Alli and playing the chip. Alternative would be to do Brunt > Valencia (or Holgate / Amat and have Brunt as a starting bencher).

Got burned by bringing in Kane early last GW. Would've thought I had learned my lesson. Just used my FT last night. What the hallibut is wrong with me!?

Let's be honest, most of us have traded early. Chances are we get through it okay, but sometimes we don't. The market is volatile, it adds to it doesn't it?

Certainly does. The players involved in the transfer last night, however, doesn't look to be falling/rising in price anytime soon. So what's the rush? I smell karma incoming.
