FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Results and Fourth Round Draws

Ahead of this weekend’s fourth round stage of our two Premier League cup competitions, we look back at the events of the previous clashes and some of the most eye-catching match-ups.

Mark is now the only surviving former winner in our open to all cup after seeing off tkmlim 72-65 in round three. He next faces What Divock?!, who defeated reigning champion A Manager Has No Name.

Joining him through the exit door is Wild Rover, who was crushed 90-70 by the contest’s highest-ranked manager 50th-placed pitstop1.

The unlucky boss to next face pitstop1 is The Shaman, who is ranked just 373,401.

Another former winner to fall was Donnellyc, who was dispatched by Who Divock Is Origi.

Joining Mark as other representatives of our live Hall of Fame top ten in the next round are Dronny Imp (aka David Meechan), whose score of 92 was enough to beat Jurgen Can Karius and set himself up a match against Quinntessentials.

Another elite manager to prevail is My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg), who scored 89 in his victory over Prophet and next takes on Donnellyc’s conqueror Who Divock Is Origi

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

In our Members Cup Fenghh, who beat former winner Trigg in round two, makes it through to the fourth round after defeating 2,208-ranked christian steinbauer.

But things do not get any easier for our 36,596-placed giant killer as he now faces the competition’s top-ranked manager Hana, who is 170th in the world.

Elsewhere in the round four draw, community regulars RoysCallerAnne and Dr Ennet face each other, with the former’s 829 rank making him the favourite over his 19,528-placed opponent.

There will also be a community writers derby when Career Hall of Fame analyst TopMarx takes on Kryten, who has written extensively on bandwagons and the effect of European cup involvement on Premier League teams. With a rank of 13,069, compared to Kryten’s placing of 27,609, TopMarx is the slight favourite for this battle of the scribes.

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Worth using 2FTs to get Kane given I already have 3xTOT & no WC left?

    A) No, just fix Brunt or Stones
    B) Son & Ibra -> Zaha & Kane
    C) Bavies & Ibra -> 4.9 & Kane

    Grant
    Valencia, Bavies, Brunt
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Son, Firmino, King
    Ibra, Lukaku

    Jaku, Barnes, Stones, Robertson
    Bank 0.0m, 2FT, no WC

I'm also considering. No 100%s here. Kane has to outiscore Sanchez be at least a goal (+bonus) in 1 game vs 2 just to get the same as him. He might though!

Think I'm going to bench boost GW34 getting in Zaha for sanchez this week to fund Kane, then get Sanchez back for 36 plus Gabbiadini if fit and maybe one more ars/sot. Think that'll then give me 9 potentia DGW players for gw37 so will probably take a hit or two to get 11

Got 6 planned for GW34, not overly fussed about DGW36 (do currently have 2 Saints and Sanchez), and have 11 DGWers for GW37. Plenty of FTs to get close to 15.

Your team looks in good shape. I'd be looking at getting rid of Llorente or Capoue for Palace asset if I were you. Maybe downgrade Valencia to free up funds for Llorente > Benteke or Capoue > Zaha?

from gameweek 6-> 25, OR 11 captained sanchez 19 weeks out of 20. Sometimes dullard really is the way.

He also went from 30k to 14th in that time.

Don't think it was all that dullard. At the start of that run people were selling Alexis for Hazard. You had Kun and City looking like a million dollar at the time. Later there was a period where everyone was captaining Kane for his two home games but he blanked in both.

i wouldn't want to go into 36 & 37 without Sanchez and his 4 games.

it's hard for me to believe that Wenger will not put Alexis up front after the Palace debacle, but it seems it's a real possibility that Alexis may be stuck on the wing.

it might depend on how much of a price hit you must take on him.

if Chelsea have clinched, for example, i probably wouldn't want any of their players. while Hull and Swansea players might look really enticing.

Wow, almost a clean sweep so far. I really didn't think looking at it like this made it easier. All Sanchez has to do is score 1 goal in 2 games. Kane to be involved in 2 goals in 1 game, but in a firing Spurs. I can picture him on the penalty spot now. Ibra away to Burnley could be a huge anticlimax. I guess there's City...but who knows how that'll pan out.

    Valencia/BAINES/Gibson
    Sanchez/Alli/SIGGY/Walcott/TADIC

    Ibra/Kane/GABBIADINI

      Bench GW37 should be:
Jaku, Chambers, Robertson and De Roon

Are you missing a midfielder in your WC plan?

De Roon instead of Gibson on the Bench 😉
It's not WC, it's a plan for transfers between now and GW37. What do you think? 🙂

Looks good. What about downgrading Valencia to Stones and upgrading De Roon to Ward-Prowse?

Can't see United keeping a clean sheet in either of their dgw 37 fixtures whilst City have home fixtures to Leicester and West Brom.

As nailed as a player managed by Pep can be. Valencia is a rotation risk, especially if United are still in Europa League.

Why Walcott and Sanchez? Assume you've watched a few Arsenal games recently?

Already have both 🙁 but isn't crazy to get rid if no WC left?

Those with all chips left like me surely the plan is...

    WC in 35
    TC Sanchez in 36
    BB in 37

More likely to TC Kane this week or Ibra next, and WC36 for BB in 37 at the moment

What are people thinking the ideal defence is for the last few gameweeks?

    How about....

    Valencia Alonso Davies Stephens Holgate

Should leave plenty of cash for other areas of the team

Getting rid of Aguero should be a lot easier decision than Sanchez right?

Is Aguero just an expensive luxury or do we think he could hit double figures this GW?

I still can't get my head around who to remove to enable Kane.
