FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Results and Quarter-Final Draws

We take some time this evening to find out who has made it through to the quarter-finals of our two Premier League cup competitions.

Topping the bill among the last eight ties is a Live Hall of Fame top ten derby between Mark, whose rank of 297 makes him the highest-placed remaining manager, and the 423-ranked My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg). While Mark has the rank advantage, Peter’s second placing in the Live Hall of Fame, compared to Mark’s sixth spot, could see him prevail.

Choppers13, who conquered Patio Kev in round five, takes on Team Fosu-Mensah, who is at 3,474 – 2,506 places behind his top 1,000-ranked opponent.

The third quarter-final looks likely to be another close affair, with Sleepysi ranked just 960 behind 1,192-placed Fouad Khan.

Given the current rank of the other six managers through, both 364,588-placed K3lviN and 229,821-ranked The Shaman will be breating a sigh of relief as they face each other in a clash of the competition’s lowest-ranked remaining managers by some distance.

The full quarter-finals draw can be found here.

Choppers13 is the Members cup’s highest ranked-manager – and the only one still in both competitions. He has, on the face of it, a far easier tie in the Members cup, when he takes on 132,642-ranked Barwood.

The giant-killing exploits of 46,996-placed rogerbarton have taken him into the quarter-finals. Fresh from seeing off an 88th-ranked Pukka in round four, Roger defeated 20,109-placed Dr Ennet in the final 16 to set up an encounter with aspern, another higher- ranked manager, who sits in 12,763,

Cheltnamshire lalala, who currently sits at 3,056 and defeated community writer Kryten in the last 16, will square up to 59,241-ranked Malaikat Jahad.

Elsewhere, 13,579-placed Dynamic is the favourite in his quarter-final tie with Thecrystalball, who is the contest’s lowest-ranked manager at 171,998.

The full quarter final round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes, click this link.

wildcard this week or next? I have 2 transfers this week so should be enough to alter a few things. is anyone keeping Valencia?

Do you have any chips left to play? You can't wildcard and play a chip in the same week

You need to WC this week, unless you are planning to BB in GW38.

    Caballero
    Alonso Monreal Yoshida
    Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Coutinho King
    Kane Gabbiadini

Pickford Anichebe Stephens Blind. 1FT, 0.5ITB.

Very annoyed about Coutinho, liked him as a bit of differential to Sane/Jesus before 37.

So if he is out, is it Coutinho -> Sane..?

Sane over Coutinho even if he is Fit
Surely he'll beat Coutinho with 2 Fixtures.

But Coutinho could easily outscore him this week.

My idea was to have him for 35 and 36, then get in Sane, or work Jesus in by getting rid. Still think he was the better pick for these two gameweeks, at the time.

I sold him last night for Hazard due to the price drop and the fact that I have Firmino too, but I'd expect he'll start vs Southampton. Was just a dead leg and we should see him in training today or tomorrow. The only reason I'd be worried is if he doesn't train, but you'll know before the deadline. Looks very likely to start ATM.

Defence is Gibson Davies Holgate Yoshida Stephen's

Was going to play Yoshida Stephens and Davies .

Is it worth transfering out Gibson to Kos or monreal and playing one of them ahead of Davies?

Any merit in going for Matic over Albrighton?

He has 8 assists this season and showed vs. Spurs he can strike a ball. He is also relatively Nailed. I'll put it like this:.

    A. Matic & Koscielny

    B. Albrighton & Monreal

Yeah I'd also looked at him, was kinda unsure why no one was going for him.

I think Matic is a viable bench pick who just might pick up a goal/assist. He also gets cs points

Prefer Kante to Matic for his nailedness, if Fabregas plays it is at the expense of Matic

When Conte wants to play an attacking formation it is Matic that gives way, either in the starting lineup or subbed.

Kante is a straight 90 minute man

Pick one so the I can afford Sanchez:

    A. Sane -> King
    B. Sane -> Sterling (Have Jesus)
    C. Bailly -> Clichy
    D. Sane -> Walcott

A let's met get Alonso fir his DGW.
C let's me have triple City for their DGW(2 home games)
D let's me have 2 Arsenal attackers for their double double

I'm sorted up front and in midfield. Confused at the back.
    Currently on:
    Pickford/ Hennessey
    Bailly/ Vertonghen/ Yoshida/ Holgate/ Gibson

Any change now is -4. What should my priorities be?
Chelsea, Arsenal or City? Not much in the bank! Cheers.

Gibson to Gabriel maybe but I don't think it's worth a -4, even with the DGW!
I'd keep it as it is!

Thanks. I'm leaning that way because who knows if Gabriel will play both games, right? Might make two changes at the back for the DGW instead (Chelsea and City)

Yeah, there is no certainty. Chelsea is the best bet. For City, it has to be Caballero/Kompany. Rest will be rotated

It's not really a -4 for a DGW player though is it who has 4 games instead of Gibson's 2.

With that great defence you might want to go 442, sell Gabbiadini for a cheap bench striker, Kante for Matic (nailed) and King to Eriksen

Does anybody go without King? He served me well, but my last idea is to pick those 5 in midfield :
    Sanchez - Hazard - Alli - Sane - Pedro

Seeing Gabriel in my WC team starts to annoy me. I have Cech so Arsenal CSS are covered. I believe they will keep at least one CS in 37. But I can't afford nailed on arsenal defender. What do I do?

I don't want to downgrade Gabbiadini to Aniche just for that.
    Have 0.1 itb
Current defenders: Vertonghen, Alonso, Gabriel, Stephens, Yoshida plus Willy
