Excess baggage checked in, deckchairs reserved and sun block applied – the Scoutcast team are all ready to hit the beach.

Smack in the middle of Gameweek 37, with points flowing from all angles, not even Hal Robson Kanu’s late goal can upset the pre-vacation mood.

Stringing five men across the midfield, Luke and Az join Jonty, Andy and myself for a bumper end of season episode as we tackle another volley of questions from you, the community.

We conduct a post-mortem on the flurry of chips, weigh up the Gameweek 38 punts, put together our final day Wildcard XI and take a look back on our own personal highs and lows of a topsy-turvy season.

After 128 minutes of that lot and sunstroke already setting in, we even forget to chat captains and transfers come the end, only to make amends later.

    My iternal clock seems to run on football. Like I know its a Tuesday or Wednesday if there's UCL on but clearly it's broken with non stop PL because I'm having a hard time convincing myself its Friday and I have work tomorrow...I mean today.

    Dies anyone else think that 'Pool with something to play isn't necessarily a good thing? We've seen how often they fluff their lines at home to lower half opposition.

    Just checked 187 points bloody hell kane. It must have gone crazy here when he was scoring! 187 points put me up 40k from 70k to 30k. My highest rank.all season. What a week.

      What's everyone's take on people who have really good ranks deciding to join a bunch of public leagues in the last week or two? Fair play to them; they've earned it? Or sort of raggedy?

          They could be, but oftentimes a league (say, a podcast league, or an FFS league) wants to promote itself, so it never closes down the ability to join.

        I think it is a despicable thing to do and i would not think much of a league that not close entry after gw1 anyway

        The members league on here can be joined at any point which is fair enough i suppose if you are a member you are a member but FFS should have a members and proud league that closes after gw1

        Lots of managers dont want there mini league rivals to know they are a part of a fpl community so as to keep a edge over them

        I hope Billy wins the members league if i dont that is because that Ben guy in 2nd only jumped into it a few gw back

          I agree with your philosophy, but I think it can be relaxed to GW3, sort of like the transfer window. This allows for players who have had issues getting their season up and running (not in terms of payers but in terms of login errors) and I don't think a couple of weeks at the beginning would affect the rationale of your point.

            Ya that is fair enough i suppose and that's what i do with the league i admin between me and my mates i keep it open for a few gw so as the stragglers can get in but always check late entry's history just in case they are after setting up a 2nd team to get a edge on the rest

            But i try to make this clear to them that this kinda ungentlemanly behavior will be met with a ban from the league

          Thanks, Ogie. I tend to agree with you. Getting glory for the sake of getting glory doesn't seem sporting. Plus, if I'm leading a league - even if no cash is at stake - and it matters to me to win it, so I play defensively to guard against my closest chasers, and then someone swoops in late in the season to disrupt that, it seems inappropriate.

      I am glad I missed the carnage last night.
      Would prob have been too much to handle.

      It was nice to wake up to another Kane, Alli and Davies all to make this GW sensational.

      184 pts this GW and a nice jump in OR from about 9k to 3.5k as a result.
      6 straight greens now since GW 32 WC..
      29k~ 3.5k

      All downhill from here tho probably!
