FFS Cup

The FFS Cups – Finals

The final Gameweek of the season sees the conclusion of our two Premier League cup competitions. Here we reveal who has made it through the finals as well as the managers competing in the third place play-off matches.

K3lviN took giant killing to new levels to book his seat in our open to all cup final, after seeing off 134 ranked Live Hall of Fame top ten manager My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg). This 80,381 ranked manager’s sensational score of 199 proved too much for Peter’s 180 return in Gameweek 37.

He will meet another Goliath in the final after 740 ranked Sleepysi defeated Choppers13 in his semi-final.

Of the pair K3lviN has the experience of pressure, having finished 2012/13 second in the overall rankings. Sleepysi’s top 10,000 ranking in 2013/14 also means he is no stranger to impressive end of season runs.

In terms of key differentials, Sleepysi has Spurs’ Christian Eriksen, who should start away to Hull City on Sunday after was rested against Leicester City last night. He will also be hoping for an Arsenal clean sheet, at home to Everton, with Petr Cech expected to be fielded by Sleepysi alongside Nacho Monreal, who is owned by both.

For K3lviN he has Southampton’s Nathan Redmond, Leroy Sane of Manchester City and Spurs full-back Ben Davies as his main differentials.

Chelsea’s teamsheet could prove decisive, with Sleepysi stocked up with Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso and Pedro, while his opponent has Cesar Azpilicueta as well as the Blues’ Belgian schemer.

With two free transfers to play it remains to be seen whether they will make dramatic changes. Philippe Coutinho may be one key target ahead of Liverpool’s home clash with Middlesbrough. The Brazilian could also offer a strong differential armband option.

With a £200 Amazon voucher to the winner and £100 to the runner-up, risks may need to be taken.

There’s a £50 voucher up for grabs for the winner of Choppers13 and My Pretty Pony’s third place play off.

In the Members Cup aspern goes through the final by the closest of margins, with his 2890 rank proving the difference after both he and his 4120 placed semi-final opponent Dynamic scored 175.

He will meet 8122 ranked Malaikat Jahad, who had a far easier semi-final, seeing off Barwood 196-171.

Of the Members Cup’s two finalists, Malaikat is the more seasoned veteran, with two top 10,000 finishes in his previous nine seasons. In contrast, aspern is in his third campaign and has yet to finish in the top 100,000.

Both only have one transfer to play and aspern may be tempted to use it to ditch Southampton’s misfiring striker Manolo Gabbiadini, who netted zero points in double Gameweek 37 after a no-show and missed penalty. Aspern’s key differentials include Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Eriksen, Bournemouth’s in-form midfielder Josh King and Leicester City’s Marc Albrighton.

For Malaikat he will be hoping his differentials Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham duo Heung-Min Son, and Dele Alli will be more than a match.

As with our open to all contest, the winner of this final will scoop a £200 Amazon voucher, with £100 going to the runner up.

A £50 voucher is available to the winner of Barwood and Dynamic’s play off.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

    Hi Managers 🙂

Leader is within 3 points, was 100 points behind 3 weeks ago (small matter he has the bench boost but I I will give my best)

My team: after Hazard to Coutinho

    Cech
    Alonso Kompany Yoshi Stephens
    Sanchez Coutinho Ali King
    Kane Jesus

    Subs: Pickford Gabbi Albrighton Smith

Leader Team: (Dont what his transfer/s gonna be)

    Cech
    Stephens Mawson Holding
    Sanchez Hazard Ali Sane Eriksen
    Jesus Kaku

    Subs: Jaku Barnes Tarkowski Smith

Wondering if it is profitable to make Gabbi to Giroud for -4 and play 3-4-3 or just leave it like this ...

Your suggestions in in order to complete an epic win ?

ha.Thanks mate. Heres to you being rigtht and then celebration here begins 🙂 Really wanted Giroud but this -4 in last week means more or less I need at least 12 points and I will probably play the 4-4-2 regular. I can see he made 1 transfer which means he didnt get Kane for now... so all eyes on Captain Hurricane tomorrow 🙂

Don't play double Southampton. Okay yoshi. Swap gabbi to lorrente. Lorrente 9 goals in last 10 games at Swansea

You don't think you can make it? Surely successful differential captain can easily make up 16 points?

It's possible. I just jumped from from 5k to 2k last week alone.

If you have the essential players going into this week (Sanchez, Kane, Coutinho, Jesus) and can fit in more Liverpool and city without taking too many hits, you'll have a good shot I think.

Last week was an exceptional case, as are all DGW's with chips loose. Generally much harder to make such significant improvements in rank at the business end..

Chasing by 8 pts. Does it make sense to take a hit for JWP to Pedro? Would give me the option to play 3-5-2 and bench Gabbi.

It's hard to call in same dilemma at the mo, coutinho guaranteed to play not so sure on hazard but reckon Chelsea will score more than pool this weekend, Liverpool not the most reliable when they are expected to beat weak teams

New formation is lethal. Most to lose so most motivated. Gonna get en press like crazy as last fixture. Don't think borough will hold out and once pool score floodgates could open. Pool need goal difference. Easy decision for me

Hey guys, hope you all had a good week, earnt a few quid.

Hoping to get some opinions on the following, leading a mini league by 7 points, want to get coutinho in, question is should I get rid of eriksen, alli or hazard, my rival owns alli and hazard but has made 2 transfers this week. Frustrating to lose eriksen as he'll be fresh, but I know its the sensible move. What would you all do?

OK, say I got Sturridge, is this logic fair:

Assuming he starts (no idea if he does personally), then he'll likely play 80+. Last game of the season and he'll want to be out there finally. And if they are drawing, Klopp knows this is a must win game so will chuck on more strikers rather than switching them around

I've managed to overturn a 60 or deficit in ml to lead by 5 points. I want to bring in Coutinho, but i'm most scared of king after seeing what Kane did to Leicesters makeshift defence.

    Willy
    Azpi Toby Monreal (Stephens)
    Silva Sanchez Eriksen Tadic Albrighton
    Jesus Kane

    Tadic to king

Sounds like a decent move, though I have a feeling Leicester will feel they owe their fans a performance after the spurs game and will tighten up at the back.

Can you afford Son or Fabregas?

I could get fabregas, I've already got three spurs. My rival has hazard and Pedro so might be worth getting some cover if they go nuts against Sunderland.

    Team is :-

    Cech, (Pickford)
    Alonso, Yoshida, Stones (Stephens, Koscielny)
    Sanchez, Coutinho, Sane, King (Capoue)
    Kane(c), Costa, Jesus

I'm not sure about the back-3. Are these what you'd play?

Also a bit stuck on Kane vs Sanchez but think Kane is right pick

I'd consider playing both Soton def due to Arnie might missing the game. Although spreading the risk is smart

So I've used my FT to get in Coutinho for Hazard which leaves me with the following line up and bench.

    Caballero

    Yoshida Monreal Alonso Vertonghen
    King Sanchez Alli Coutinho
    Kane Jesus

    Pickford - Stephens Gabbi Oxlade

    1. I'm chasing 6 points in my ML atm. Any pressing changes here that warrants a hit or am I good to go?
    2. Who should I captain?

    Thanks in advance all!

    For those with Alexis (C)

What do you predict the Arsenal v Everton score will be - And how many points for Alexis

The bookies have the fav score to be 2-1 @ 15/2

The best bet is Everton to win @ 7/1
