After a two week break Eliteserien return this weekend. Here is a short preview of Gameweek 13, including an international round up, latest injury news and a look at some key differentials to consider.
INTERNATIONAL ROUND UP
In Norway’s World Cup qualifier against Czech Republic Tore Reginiussen (Rosenborg) was the only starter from Eliteserien. He left the pitch with an injury after 32 minutes.
For Norway’s friendly against Sweden Ander Trondsen (Sarpsborg) played 90 minutes, while Ohi Omoijuanfo (Stabæk) got his debut off the bench at half time.
There were a lot more players involved for Norway U21’s 5-0 win against Kosovo U21. Rossbach (Odd), Ryerson (Viking), Hanche-Olsen (Stabæk) and Yttergård Jensen (Tromsø) all got a start, while Zeknini (Odd), Reitan (Rosenborg) and Hoff (Aalesund) got apperances off the bench.
Hanche-Olsen and Reitan scored a goal, while Ryerson and Zekhnini was among the assisters. Sadly for Norway U21 it looks like the result will be changed to a loss, as Celtic player Kristoffer Ajer played even though he was suspended after a red card for Norway U19 earlier this year.
Riski (Odd) got 90 minutes for Finland against Lichtenstein, Rolantsson (Brann) got 90 minutes for Faraoe Islands against Switzerland and Mets (Viking), Baranov (Kristiansund) and Teniste (Sogndal) all played 90 minutes against both Belgium and Latvia for Estonia.
Singh Sandhu was India’s captain against Nepal, Sigurdarson (Molde) got a 13 minute sub apperance for Iceland against Croatia and Rasmussen got a 30 minutes sub apperance for Denmark U21 against Sweden U21.
Rosenborg’s depth in defence will be weakened in the coming gameweeks. Alex Gersbach will be playing in Confederations Cup for Australia, while Jakob Rasmussen will be playing U21 Euros for Denmark.
INJURY NEWS
I have to be honest, I haven’t manage to get an update on all injuries. Tore Reginiussen (Rosenborg) was subbed with an injury for Norway, but is expected to be back for Rosenborg’s clash with Haugesund this weekend. Sander Svendsen (Molde) got an injury last gameweek and isn’t expected to be back this gameweek. Sarpsborg are hopeful Jonas Lindberg will be back this gameweek.
Ghayas Zahid (Vålerenga), Samuel Adegbenro (Viking), Luc Kassi (Stabæk) and Robert Lundström (Vålerenga) are suspended.
DIFFERENTIALS FOR GAMEWEEK 13
Jean Alassane Mendy (5.2, Kristiansund, forward)
The Kristiansund striker has in exceptional form lately, scoring in the previous three Fameweeks. With a decent home fixture against Aalesund I back him to do well once again.
Aleksander Megalvis (4.3, Lillestrøm, defender)
I have been backing out of position midfielders for Lillestrøm in the previous two differentials picks with great success. This week I opt for defender Megalvis, who’s also out of position, playing as a right midfielder for Lillestrøm. His 2.9% ownership and a great home fixture against a Viking side, without key player Adegbenro, looks enticing and could provide returns at both ends of the pitch. Previous picks Knudtzon and Udoji are also great selections for this fixture.
Martin Ramsland (6.5, Sogndal, forward)
With the lack of obvious differential picks this gameweek I opt for Ramsland. He’s a good option from the budget picks and last Gameweek he picked up a goal and an assist at home against Sandefjord. This time around he has another home clash, although he will have to be on top form against visitors Odd, who have kept five clean sheets in their last six.
