Dugout Discussion – Spurs vs Chelsea

After Aaron Mooy fired Huddersfield to victory over Newcastle, we make our way to Wembley as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea go head-to-head in Sunday’s final fixture.

A victory for Spurs today would set a new club record of 15 successive home league wins, yet their record in competitive matches at Wembley – two wins, one draw and seven losses – is anything but convincing.

Subject to over 164,000 transfers out last week, Harry Kane has now gone 11 Premier League matches in August without finding the net.

Yet Kane was still the second most captained player for Gameweek 2, handed the armband by 526,000+ FPL managers as he looks to recover from last Sunday’s blank at Newcastle.

Both Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli plundered the points at St James’ Park to put Kane in the shade.

They also combined for both goals in the corresponding fixture last season, with Eriksen supplying assists for Alli’s pair of strikes in a 2-0 home win over the champions.

For Chelsea, Alvaro Morata is handed his first start after emerging from the bench to bag a goal and assist in last week’s shock home loss to Burnley.

But there’s no Eden Hazard as he fails to recover from an ankle injury in time for the Wembley encounter.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

After hitting out Alonso as part of an 8 point hit, I think I will be hitting him back in. Wonderful this game.

    Stephens/Firmino -> Alonso/Chicarito.

I have 0.5 in the bank and will be loosening the knee strap and letting it go for it.

    Jese or Richalison?

Looking at downgrading Redmond as don't see Southampton scoring many goals regardless of their fixtures.

Keeping Stephens as still think they are good for a few cleanies

Okay, I need your help. My current team is:

    DDG, Elliot
    Danilo, Daniels, Mee, Cedric, Hunemeier
    Willian, Pogba, Salah, Eriksen, RLC
    Lukaku, Kane, Quaner

Im thinking of wildcarding because of these reasons:

    - Daniel and Mee do not have good fixtures for clean sheets, and neither Burnley nor B'mouth look defensively good
    - Danilo has to go for Trippier, although I will wait for injury news and potential Aurier's transfer
    - DDG is returning points, but is maybe too expensive for a goalkeeper considering Foster and Lossl
    - Hazard is back and is simply essential for my team, I just have to have him and Willian>Hazard and Salah>Jese would be a way to do it

    What do you guys think?

    1. SUPERMAN

Though feel there are a heap of options otherwise for bigger teams up an running this season. Price changes might price you out of those imminently and a premium mid to one of those two is probably a 2 transfer move.
