“This is how the ScoutCast was meant to be” exclaimed Granville.

He’s not wrong. If you’ve successfully avoided this brand of nonsense to this point, episode 232 provides a less than gentle introduction.

Just don’t expect me to take a beating every week.

That’s certainly what pans out over this lengthy landmark episode which finds me rolling the punches after my “ill-timed” Wildcard.

Granville and Jonty take turns to dish out the blows, while Andy and Az make uncomfortable spectators.

Once the scuffle dies down, we do our best to address the latest community questions, assessing strikers, mid-price midfielders and the latest wing-backs demanding our attention.

But, for once, that forms the undercard for the “big fight”.

      Cant get Bavies cause I have Mane and Pogba that need to go so have to use transfers there...

      But Im thinking of -4 to get Firming in for Chicharito as well..

      So will be Mane, Pogba and Chicharito -> Alli/Hazard/Salah, Choupo-Moting/Gross and Firmino.

      Probably wiser with Salah or Hazard? Really temping to go with Alli and go all in for spurs though, they have for decent matches coming up...

    A thing to note about silva. Like Eriksen and other ball-playing attaching mids, if they get attacking returns they tend to also get baps.

      Nah been watching/listening since before moving over to youtube and that's the best. Genuinely had me laughing out loud. Well done to Mark for taking it in good heat (sort of).Hope Granville starts making more appearances again.

      Honestly, Mark's pulled a blinder with the WC. No value tied in the goalkeepers, Salah over Mane, Mkhi over Pogba, fresher Alli over Eriksen, Kane coming in. Banter aside, he's carefully thought it out.

    ***Beat the KneeJerkers XI, GW4 score and squad for GW5***

    GW4 saw many a wildcarder or hit-taker rub their hands, only to walk away pointless and dejected. The final score for our Kneejerkers XI was massively in the wrong direction: The 11 most transferred-in players managed to accumulate 21 points, with only Morata (6) and Pogba(5) giving any decent return for their owners. This is now the second week in a row that popular transfer targets have disappointed.

    On the positive side, only a single manager managed to score below our KneejerkersXI (yes, he was on a wildcard!), and so 80-odd managers survive to the next round. The lineup for GW5 features quite a few heavy hitters, undoubtedly financed by the Mané and Pogba firesales. But chief threat must surely go to captain Davies, who may well get points at both ends of the pitch.

        Thanks. I am also looking at him. But there are a couple of options for me, which is bothering me:

        a) Instead of Maguire (5.1m), I can use a 5.0m + Richarlison
        b) I can go cheap like Atsu, Choupo-Moting, Gross, etc and keep some dollars.
        c) I can further downgrade my defense (Mendy -> 5.0m) and squeeze in Ramsey
