FFS Cup

Fantasy Football Scout Cups – Quarter Final Draws

Our cup competitions are edging closer to their conclusion with just eight teams now remaining in both contests.

The seventh round of the Fantasy Football Scout cup in the main went by form, with those with a higher rank prevailing.

This included victory for the contest’s highest placed manager, Elvarus, who is 159th in the overall rankings and saw off 1,679 placed Scoutcaster Az. This high flying victor has another tough match in the quarter finals when he takes on the next highest placed remaining manager, David Slade (rank 1,455).

Former FPL winner Tom Fenley’s 13,516 ranked team edged past Double Blue, who is 47,144 places behind him, to set up a last eight battle with Brakeff (rank 25,911), who was one of only two round seven giant killers after comfortably easing past 2,481 placed Roonatic 85-50.

SaxilbyGaribaldi is the other lower ranked manager to beat the odds in round seven, when his 21,579 placed side took out 3,004 ranked Catdeeleyisgorgeous. He will have to rip up the form book once again when he takes on TH14, who is 14,124 places above him.

The last quarter final looks to be a closer affair, with just 5,874 places separating ezdmanx (rank 2,125) and POLSTER (rank 7,999).

The results from the Fantasy Football Scout seventh round can be found here, while the quarter final draw is here.

The Members Cup quarter finals also sees the two highest ranked managers square up to each other, when 770 placed The Albatross faces 1,034 ranked Root.

Two other remaining managers are placed in the top 5,000 with Albertini (ranked 1,485) surely the favourite against 73,50 ranked rrcmc, while 3,651 placed graslauk encounters rama96ab (rank 67,811).

The other tie sees Gloria Kanchelskis (rank 27,122) go head to head with community veteran Fitzy. (32,539).

You can view the full results from the sixth round of Members Cup here, while the quarter final draw is here.

I think he might get the odd game out, as he started midweek against Chelsea, and there were rumours of him being sick, so rested. You know even Azpi and Alonso have been rested.

Jordan ayew seems to be in good goal scoring form.

Is it worth starting him (playing lpool) ahead of ogbonna (bou) at weekend?

They have a canary on their badsge and they play in yellow and green but whether there is a more original fundamental reason, I know not. Someone on here will know.

Incidentally, I once saw a goal (from Leicester) go into the back of the net by going under the side netting. The Norwich fans were not impressed when the ref let it stand!

      From Wikipedia...
The club's original nickname was the Citizens, although this was superseded by 1907 by the more familiar Canaries after the club's chairman (who was a keen breeder of canaries) dubbed his boys 'The Canaries' and changing their strip to yellow and green.

Since you have no City, Sané could be worth a short punt with great fixtures

Pogba + Lingard would be too much Man U for my taste, but Pogba is a strong choice

    B. Ibe
    C. Albrighton

    Thanks

Ox for me. He has secured his place now and his returns when he plays 45 mins or more in a match are excellent.

Thanks and Ox is probably the safest.

Ibe has incredibly good stats and Bournemouth's expected goals scored in the last 4 is also very high...

Zappacosta would be fantasy gold if he was nailed.

    Release the Zappa!

He's pretty poor tbh if you have seen any live Chelsea games this season.

            Ok.

I don't watch Chelsea live because they're dull and boring, but from the glimpses I've seen of Zappa he seems very attacking which is great for fpl defenders, and to confirm I WAS talking about fpl.

Couldn't care how he looks in real life. 😆

Yes I get that. My son has been home and away to most games and says that he loses the ball far too much , hasn't got much pace and can't cross either . I wouldn't look at him for FPL.

                Fair enough. Points noted. 🙂

Have you watched him live or you just said the based on the info your son gave you?

And your son's not Ruth NZ by any chance? 😉

Yes , seen him twice this season. My son doesn't look like a gorilla. ☺

Agreed. Wish Conte would put out this team:

      Courtois
      Azpi - Christensen - Rudiger
      Zappa - Drinkwater - Fabregas - Kante - Alonso
      Hazard
      Morata

Bakayoko stinks the team out. And Fabregas can't defend so playing him in a two man midfield is a no.

Why not? All that's on his mind is to attack. Sounds good to me.

Separate fpl from real life. I thought I made that clear in my op. 🙂

          Because he isn't very good

Bombing forward and doing sweet fa doesn't constitute being good

Seems to have scored quite well in fpl considering his limited minutes.

Because you rather childishly told me to get him then if I think he's so good when I clearly stated in my op that I think he'd be a good option if he was nailed which he clearly isn't.

If anything I could ask you the same question. 😉

And I'm glad your son doesn't look like a gorilla although I do find gorillas adorable. 😉

Pick for long-term, and why. Both have good fixtures.

    A) Pickford (have Kenny)
    B) Schmeichel

Is it a good thing Christensen is on the bench tonight or is that him further down the pecking order again?

Would you rather have Son, Lingard and Christensen or Lanzini, Lingard and Alonso?

    Son or Alonso basically...

Good thing. More likely to start on the weekend given short turnaround. Cahill injured.

Any chance Depoitre start this week? Seems fairly predictable with him and Mooy, probably should just bench.
