FFS Cup

Fantasy Football Scout Cups – Quarter Final Draws

Our cup competitions are edging closer to their conclusion with just eight teams now remaining in both contests.

The seventh round of the Fantasy Football Scout cup in the main went by form, with those with a higher rank prevailing.

This included victory for the contest’s highest placed manager, Elvarus, who is 159th in the overall rankings and saw off 1,679 placed Scoutcaster Az. This high flying victor has another tough match in the quarter finals when he takes on the next highest placed remaining manager, David Slade (rank 1,455).

Former FPL winner Tom Fenley’s 13,516 ranked team edged past Double Blue, who is 47,144 places behind him, to set up a last eight battle with Brakeff (rank 25,911), who was one of only two round seven giant killers after comfortably easing past 2,481 placed Roonatic 85-50.

SaxilbyGaribaldi is the other lower ranked manager to beat the odds in round seven, when his 21,579 placed side took out 3,004 ranked Catdeeleyisgorgeous. He will have to rip up the form book once again when he takes on TH14, who is 14,124 places above him.

The last quarter final looks to be a closer affair, with just 5,874 places separating ezdmanx (rank 2,125) and POLSTER (rank 7,999).

The results from the Fantasy Football Scout seventh round can be found here, while the quarter final draw is here.

The Members Cup quarter finals also sees the two highest ranked managers square up to each other, when 770 placed The Albatross faces 1,034 ranked Root.

Two other remaining managers are placed in the top 5,000 with Albertini (ranked 1,485) surely the favourite against 73,50 ranked rrcmc, while 3,651 placed graslauk encounters rama96ab (rank 67,811).

The other tie sees Gloria Kanchelskis (rank 27,122) go head to head with community veteran Fitzy. (32,539).

You can view the full results from the sixth round of Members Cup here, while the quarter final draw is here.

See how Sane gets along this week. I'd think him, good differential (many have dropped) and he's playing MC. Be aware of the blanks though

Can someone update me on how Zaha has been playing? I've had him for forever, always been something more pressing. I would like to keep after Arsenal for two easier games, then ditch.

    Cheers.

Walcott surely worth monitoring now. It's been some years, but could be super-explosive when allowed reasonable pitchtime.

Possible alternative to Arnie in a price bracket offering few options.

Walcott, Tosun and Bolasie could be a decent forward line and the fixtures are very nice.

Thanks, it's holding me up top of my work league at the moment but the Kane lovers are chasing me! In my defence also, I've had a lot of these players for a long time (pre price jumps).

Zola was a good player. But he wasn't that good. Henry, Aguero, Bergkamp, Keane, Beckham, Scholes, Vieira, Ashley Cole, Van Nisterlrooy etc. were all better than him.

Ashley Cole was one of the best LBs in the world. You might not like him as a character, but he was a top player.

And you can add in Kane, Hazard, Alexis, De Gea, Cech (was awesome at Chelsea in the early years), Shearer, Klinsmann. Those are only PL players as well. Haven't even mentioned some of the better players than him playing in Italy, Spain and Germany.

Henry Bergkamp Keane Scholes Vieira are alltime greats
        RVN is Zola's peer
Beckham Aguero Cole just below imo

59 goals in 229 appearances for Chelsea. Yes Zola was creative, but Hasselbaink was a finisher (70 goals in 136 appearances for Chelsea) and Hasselbaink gets no credit just because he wasn't as skillful.

Output more important that how silky you look as a footballer IMO.

Loved watching Le Tissier - had so much time on the ball and vision . Very similar in style of play to Tony Currie ( maybe before your time ?).

Yeah not overly familiar with Currie but spot on regarding Le Tissier.

Would watch in awe at the things he'd do on the pitch. Then rush to the park to try and emulate them.

                    With limited success. 😆

I don't think Le Tissier ever got the recognition he deserved. As a slow defender I would have hated being up against him

There are A quite frankly ridiculous amount of mids this year... especially with Sanchez, Mkhi & Theo all becoming options all of a sudden... anyone not playing a 5 man midfield? Hard to pick only 5 of these:

Salah, Sterling, Son, Pogba, Sanchez, Mkhi, Theo, Arnie, Lanzini, Manè, Sanè, Dilva, KDB, Lingard...

And aside from Kane & Firmino (maybe Kun for a couple of weeks and Wilson till he gets injured again), there's not a striker to be seen.

    Bloody hell

    Ota | Jones | Davies| Daniels
    Son| Sterling| Mooy| Lingard | Salah
    Kane

    Elliot | Rooney | Hemed | Ward
    1 FT
    0.0 ITB

3 united players and 3 spurs (aside from lingard it did me very well last week) and I'm thinking of keeping the lot of them for at least this coming week. I'm also prepared to double or triple hit for week 25.

    A) move out rooney for someone cheaper and upgrade son to someone more expensive like sane or KDB. I'm fine with just having kane on the front line from here on out.

    B) Move rooney out and try and add in alonso or azpilicueta on defense to get in on the chelsea defense action

    C) downgrade Son to Gross, Richarlison, Doucoure and upgrade rooney to firmino and go use whatever is left to upgrade defense

    D) ??? open to suggestions.
