After a disappointing 2016/17 campaign in which a post-title hangover dragged Leicester City down to twelfth place, things appear to be back on track at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes sit comfortably in eighth spot, within touching distance of a European spot, and, more crucially, their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) assets are once again ticking over.

Having earned a much-deserved point at Stamford Bridge over the weekend (despite playing the final quarter with just 10 men), Leicester’s fixtures now turn strongly in their favour. Four of their next six matchups see the Foxes entertain lower-ranked opposition in the form of Watford, Swansea, Stoke, and Bournemouth – encouragingly, they are the only four teams who failed to collect a clean sheet in the last six Gameweeks.

With such an appealing slate on the horizon, this week’s Technical Area will be analysing Leicester’s Fantasy assets in detail to identify the outstanding FPL options within their ranks.

    Looking to bring Arnie in this week:

    Pope (Myhill)
    Alonso, Otamendi, Kenny, Ogbonna (Mbemba)
    Sterling, Salah, Son, Lingard (RLC)
    Kane, Aguero (Niasse)

    Lingard is going (for a combination of rational and irrational reasons) but I need to generate 0.1 elsewhere. I'm conscious that I also currently have no real bench.

    a) Ogbonna to Chilwell (0 ITB to upgrade bench).
    b) Otamendi to Stones (0.6 ITB)

    Aguero is probably there for a few weeks before I sell him and release funds (unless I switch to Sanchez).

    Any thoughts?

        Thanks - Tomkins is certainly an option, but those upcoming fixtures scare me.

        Need to make a choice between a 100% nailed Tomkins with tough fixtures or a 80% nailed Chilwell with good fixtures.

    As a long time Maguire owner he is a pain - kept benching his attacking returns and didn’t get cs when I wanted.

    But this is a compelling read.

    Worth adding that Dragovic appears to be instrumental in shut out potential. He looks key to those Maguire cs pts.

    If I decide to continue going Alonso less and maintaining a strong 5 mid then I must admit I’m tempted to go back to Maguire

      A few weeks ago I was Alonsoless, had Christensen who didn't play, so it hurt too much seeing rivals getting those CS points I was missing.
      Not having Alonso felt like not having Kane. These 2 can get big points in every match they want.
      If you still resist Alonso, his latest returns have been 6 14 6 14 6 7 8.

      Same benched him for united goal and Chelsea clean sheet. He’s too expensive for lack of clean sheets and unpredictable attacking returns. His fixtures make me want to keep him but funds could definitely be spread elsewhere he’s not good enough to play every week and too expensive for the amount of times I bench him

    All this talk about Leicester and Maguire being a solid target @ 5.4m with great fixtures. Are Liverpool's fixtures not also great and VVD a more premium defensive and attacking asset for 0.1m more @ 5.5m? Would rather back Liverpool than Leicester personally.
