Dugout Discussion – Man City vs Newcastle

Saturday ends at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City bid to recover from their defeat at Anfield with three points over Newcastle United.

In Fantasy terms we have three of the top seven captain picks on show in the City attack.

Sergio Aguero leads the way with 581,000+ (10.3%) backers who will hope that he can deliver on an incredible record against the Magpies.

The Argentinian averages a goal or assist every 31 minutes against Newcastle in home matches, though he has just a single goal in his last four Gameweeks.

Kevin De Bruyne sports 178,000 armbands (3.1%) as he goes into the game with three assists in his last five; his last goal came back in Gameweek 18.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling – who was surprisingly sold by 108,000 ahead of Gameweek 24 – has the support of 152,000 managers as he bids to add to his tally of nine goals on home turf.

      I read earlier this week that Jesus was back in 2 weeks... next week is FA cup so if those stories are true he’s available next GW. Sure he won’t go straight back in even if stories are true but not sure it’s worth doing the transfer now. That ship has sailed.

        I don’t know if I agree with that. There is a point where you need to be bold but top 25k is hardly the upper echelons. Take Az for example, sub 1k, teams are similar so he needed a punt like captaining Lingard last week to try and make a difference. I think top 25k it’s still pretty easy to move up if you have team value.

        I just don’t think it’s luck. I look at myself and I’ve fallen from inside the top 4K to around 8k over the past two weeks. Christensen has been a shocker for me the past two weeks but ultimately the people going past me have Alonso rather than Christensen. That’s not luck, it’s my decision to stick with Christensen and deploy the money saved elsewhere and it’s down to me and that’s what’s cost me.

            Kun is not that far behind Kane in terms of FPL points. If Kane blanks tomorrow the complexion changes completely. Some main players FFS have ignored till now are kun, mahrez, arsenal defender like bellerin and Ramsey before his injury

        Well done all Kun owners. It was the obvious move to get him in and captain him this week but I decided to stick to the boring template and get Firmino instead. You now have him for a plum home tie against WBA, probably another hat-trick.
