thoughts on this shower? time to WC? defence is a joke.

    pickford, Elliot

    danilo, jones, ogbonna, martina, mbemba

    sterling, lingard, son, lanzini, salah

    aguero, kane, DCL

son & lanzini > mahrez & shaq for -4. or use WC? don't really want to keep lingard if I'm honest. only way to free up funds is to downgrade kun or kane, but don't really want to ditch either.

Danilo + Lanzini >> Maguire + Shaqiri (Mahrez if you have the funds)

I would WC. Don't like the look of Danilo, Martina, Mbemba, Lingard, Lanzini(injury) and DCL.

Although if not, my priorities would be to clean up the defense first, not midfield.

Just take a -4 to take out players that are injured or not starting such as DCL & Mbema, then take another -4 the week after for transfers of choice

You will regret WC use now with blanks and double game weeks coming thick and fast from 28 to 37

    Kane - Aguero
    Sterling - Hazard

    - 4pts , pull the trigger?

Kane has a tough run of 3 games coming.

I wouldn’t sell Kane and Sterling. Maybe for Aguero but not for Hazard who I find the most frustrating FPL asset to own especially if you’re doing it short term

Sterling is a much better option than Hazard. If they were the same price I doubt you'd make that move

      1. joeydelucchi

not sure about that, hazard has potential to get Double figs and BAPS every week for performance alone, but obvs doesnt fulfil that potential

sterling only gets what he does cos of team he is in...not sure what i am getting at really lol, ...you are right but only cos of team that sterling is in really.

just praying for hazard to fulfil potential i guess

    Early thoughts on this lot?

    Pope
    Alonso • Ota • Jones • Christensen
    Salah • Son • Sterling • Lingard • Arnie
    Kane

    (Elliot / Niasse / DCL / Wimmer)
    1 ft & 2.2 itb

    A) Christensen ➡️ VVD/Maguire
    B) Son ➡️ Mahrez
    C) Anything worth a hit?

Have pencilled in DCL to Wilson for GW26 as I improve my bench and prepare for blankweeks.

    1. La Gazzetta
      • 6 Years

As frustrating as Christensen would have been to own he should be fit to play so I wouldn’t trade him yet with the fixtures. I’m considering Son to Mahrez but should probably be responsible and save. Should probably downgrade Christensen when you do trade him if you’re getting in Wilson (3-5-2)

    RP
A bit clueless as what to do here.
    Elliot Foster
    Ota Kenny Zanka Christensen 3.9m
    Salah Sterling Hazard Lingard Caroll
    Aguero Firmino Murray
    2 FT's 2.8 itb

Don't really want to get rid of Christensen, even though he's been beyond annoying. Sort out other parts of defence maybe?

6 potential blankers with a 3.9 def and Murray+Kenny who could be out in the cold by then. See what happens with the League cup matches mid-week but i'd be reluctant to bring in any more blankers or lose anyone with a fixture for that week.

I think your reasons are correct and he will be rotated. Should get a decent amount of game time though. I’m not going near him, not yet anyway

    3. Deulofail
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 3 months ago

You'd have thought so. It has a lot to do with the way he played last match, and the way pundits talked about the way he played.

People could be forgetting that Lallana's being worked back into the team at the moment too, and historically he's been influential while he plays.

I suspect the Ox risk will pay off, which is annoying for those of us who have been cautious with him instead of jumping on the wagon 🙂

    4. TLF
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 8 Years

My current plan is to have the Ox and rotate between a 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 formation. That way I'm not completely reliant on him so if his minutes start getting managed too much or his out out is poor, he can be benched then sold as required. I'd be hesitant to rely on him week in week out at this stage but could be an enjoyable player to own.

      1. Deulofail
        • 8 Years
        6 years, 3 months ago

May as well get Tom Carroll and upgrade Ox to a decent, nailed player, no?

Great differential. About 1% live teams owned by.
      Will he be on pens?
Has got 7 goals& 5 assists already whilst obviously being unmotivated a lot of the season.
Got a point to prove - that he's worth the wages etc. and he should be a key player in a big side.
Going be one of those Sanchez + cheap player or 2 high/mid-priced options scenarios.

        Current lot:

        Pope Elliot
        Kenny Jones Otamendi Ogbonna Mee
        Sterling Salah Lingard Lanzini* McArthur
        Kun Kane Firmino

        1FT 0.3 itb

If Lanzini is confirmed out for next GW (which I expect), is doing Lanzini to Shaqiri more important than changing Pope and Kenny (both are obviously at risk in the coming weeks with the guy they're replacing coming back from injury).

Thinking sort Lanzini this week, Pope next and then Kenny (depending on where the blanks fall for GW28).

Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated!!

Seems the right way to go about it. Kenny and Pope could both play, Lanzini will definitely not.

Perhaps hold fire on Kenny, he may displace Martina (who's playing out of his usual position) when Coleman returns. That would mean Kenny is also playing out of his usual position but he's the better player of the two.

I went for Albrighton ahead of Shaq. Stoke have great fixtures but Albrighton has decent form, it's just a question of preference I guess.

Good point about Kenny there. Just depends when Baines is fit again.

Yeah, I see him as the lowest priority of the three (particularly as I have four other starting defenders and no other starting keeper!).

Whoever I go with will be out to Ramsay after Arsenal's likely blank, so the saving on Albrighton isn't any advantage really. I'm leaning towards Stoke as they don't have a trip to the Ethiad, but agree that itjust comes down to personal preference

I sold Lanzini immediately after injury. Everybody is talking about Shaqiri, but I do not trust him. Imo that money is better spent to defence. I have Lingard as my 5th mid, but seriously consider ditching him after next 3 for a 4th (5th) playing def.

I have been burned with early transfers already this season so will hold fire for now. At lease Shaqiri has a nice break after my club dumped them out of the cup 🙂

I am a firm believer in 343 (which has finally started reaping rewards!). As per my post above, the plan had been Lanzini to Rambo after the GW28 blank and Arsenal's fixture change. I am planning to bring Vardy in for Kun in GW28 (Jesus could well be back and City probably blank), that cash will be used to improve a couple of defenders.

Good move to go for Kane & Son to Aguero & Mahrez ?

0.2 short for Son to Mahrez but I can downgrade Duffy /Masuaku to Dummet. No Aguero is a worry tho . The ML guys captained him this week and might do it again against West Brom

        General idea:
        Ride out bgw28
        Build dgw35 team
Use FH bgw31 (most of your players should have blanks due to dgw35)
        Ride out dgw35
        Wildcard for bgw36
Wildcard should have plenty of dgw37 players

Option to bench boost dgw35 or 37

I quite like the idea of wildcarding earlier and using FH for GW35 blank. Not sure about which DGW for BB.
                  Requires preparation for 31 though.
