Moneyball – Jason Puncheon

A successful 2011/12 promotion campaign saw Southampton rack up the goals as Nigel Adkins’ side finished second in the npower Championship. Having found the net 85 times last term, the Saints immediately placed Fantasy managers on alert and on the lookout for new blood for their squads. The most obvious and popular pick was Rickie Lambert who notched 25 goals in the Championship, while Adam Lallana and new arrivals Jay Rodriguez and later Gaston Ramirez have also been touted as potential Fantasy options. Even Morgan Schneiderlin – who had just two goals in almost 150 appearances coming into the season – has received some attention after his goal against Man United in Gameweek three.

Hi tosey, tries to reply a few pages back.

It's a tricky one. I wouldnt want McCarthy as my only keeper (esp having watched him on loan at Ipswich!). But you seem comfortable to use him for a bit before Bego.

I've got Friedel as well, and i'm pretty tempted to just bung in Foster and forget about it (hopefully!). I like the 3 players in A) - but just not sure it's worth an 8 point hit.

      Sorry that's not more helpful.

If i absolutely had to chose...probably B. Just.

I agree he's going to be mega from next week. He's always been Mancini's 1st choice in the Premier League. But maybe you can wait?
How about Dyer -> Sterling this week.
Then Berba -> Aguero + Fridel -> Foster next week?

Yes, Tevez is a rotation risk, but I'd expect him to start at least one of the next 2 and have a sub appearance in the other - better than what Berbatov is going to get (assuming Jol isn't telling lies)

Yep. I'd place a fiver on Everton/Newcastle/Sunderland just to safeguard against the Arsenal result - the big games can serve up anything, people are expecting a tight game - an early goal could lead to a 3-2 sort of scoreline.

I wouldn't expect them to play together in a two man midfield. Our first 11 will eventually have tiote, anita and cabeye as a 3. If they play centre mid, i would expect it would be with a CAM. Maybe Vuckic? Or maybe just jonas. Or barfa in a free role

            a) I can't get on Saturday morning

I agree wherever possible it's best to wait.

I'm being abit hypocritical tbh, as I transfered in Fellaini last Saturday, as I wanted to catch his 0.3 price rise this week. I didn't enjoy watching the mid-week game and it isn't something I wouldn't normally do, as the risks are high.

Just as we have only a day to go, waiting till tomorrow (if you could...) with no price rises on the horizon, would be better.

So 'they say' Berbatov 2 weeks, yet Jol said they weren't going to risk him against City... that to me shouts out they could start him, but would prefer to leave him out this 1 game.

I can see him being back for Southampton.

    Mingolet, Begovic

Maloney (sun), Demel (qpr), Gorkss (NEW).

Also, does Boyce (sun)'s attacking threat put him ahead of either Demel or Gorkss for this GW?

Foster, surely he won't rise tonight? I plan on bringing him for next week. Will absorb the rise if needs be as I don't need him this week, but it'd be nice to get him at 5.1 anyway (since I buggered by not having him from the off)
