Scout Picks Community Champion Vote – Gameweek-17

As part of our revamped Scout Picks, Mark, myself, Paul and a community champion picked by you each week are up against each other. All four teams are then used to decide our final weekly Scout Picks.

We are now looking for Gameweek 17’s Scout Picks Community Champion to represent you and get one over on The Scouts as well as be in with a chance of winning a special prize. The champion who manages the best Gameweek score (or best score from the first ten matches in a double Gameweek) will win a £100 Amazon voucher.

To put yourself forward simply add in your Gameweek 17 Scout Picks here. For everyone else please upvote the poster you would like to represent you based on their picks.

We only need 11 picks and please be mindful of budget. We are sticking to a budget of 83.5m. There’s no captain in the picks either and please stick to a designated FPL formation, including no more than three players from one team.

I’ll leave this vote for 24 hours and come back at 10am tomorrow (Tuesday) to find out who is the community’s choice.

The chosen champion then needs to email me email me at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with their picks and a 200 word explanation by 5pm on Thursday. There is time to make small tweaks based on last minute injury news during Friday as well.

Any attempts to disrupt the voting process may lead to the team involved being removed at our discretion. Also the comment section below is for those who want to present their teams and vote. If you have any suggestions on how the Scout Picks can be improved further next year please email me rather than leave a comment below.

"Please note that due to the fast turnaround of Gameweeks any submissions will be forwarded straight over to Paul for the Scout Picks article on Tuesday morning so it is vitally important that you include your reasons for your picks."

Where's your write-up mate? And you need 8 more picks... 😕

I was just messing about mate. 🙂 I have fun scrapping out these write ups as fast as I can, with as much detail as possible! Gotta get my team on the first page. 😉

Please allow me to represent the community this week!

    Lloris

    Zabaleta/Yun/Cresswell

    Yaya/Nasri/Downing/Eriksen

    Bony/Carroll/RVP

    Total value = 83.6 million

Oops, just saw the budget was 83.5 million 😳

Opting for a GK change then - Lloris out, Fabianski in

Refreshed by a 1 week break, I'm going to have a go again! 😀

    Adrian(LEI)
    Zabaleta(CPL) B.Davies(BUR) Caulker(WBA)
    Sanchez(liv) Downing(LEI) Yaya(CPL) Eriksen(BUR)
    Rvp(avl) Austin(WBA) Carroll(LEI)

    82.6 M

I've gone for a relatively cheap DEF since I see lot of value there.

Adrian - Is against a dire Leicester side at home looks good for a CS.

Zabaleta - Rafreshed after a week's break and has looked going forward recently.
B.Davies - Against Burnley who don't score too many away from home and an attacking Davies who got an assist on the weekend.
Caulker - QPR have been pretty good at home and not given away much. Also offers substantial goal threat

Sanchez - In form and main man for Arsenal against a struggling Liverpool who seem to struggle at home.
Downing - Great form and plumb fixture. Picks himself.
Yaya - On pens. At home, great fixture. Driving force and onus on him with no strikers.
Eriksen - Great form and fixture. Looks the main threat for Spurs after their formation change recently.

Rvp - In form striker for the most in from team in the league atm, facing Villa who struggle at home.
Austin - Back from a 1 week break and will be raring to go. Very good at home.
Carroll - Has got back his mojo since returning from injury and has the service from midfield.

Thanks for your time. Kindly Vote if you like my team!

    Adrian (LEI)
Janmaat (SUN) - Demichelis (CRY) - Davies (BUR)
Sanchez (liv) - Downing (LEI) - Silva (CRY) - Sissoko (SUN)
RVP (avl) - Austin (WBA) - Kane (BUR)

    Total budget - 74.6m

*In goal and defence, I have opted 'opponents' who don't score too many away. Also, Janmaat and Davies are pretty attacking, and Demichelis is always a threat from set-pieces.

*Again, in midfield, Sanchez and Downing seem essential for the week, given the sorry defences of the opponents. As for the other two, I have gone for bit of differentials. Silva will surely play, and if we are lucky, may even play in a false nine position, given City's paucity of strikers. As for Sissoko, he has really been the driving creative force in Newcastle midfield, and I think he will soon get a few assists, given how attacking he has been.

*Pretty nice, obvious strikers. All three are scoring, on pens, have easy games, what else do you want?

Well, that's it. If you really like my team, I'd like an upvote here. Thanks 🙂

    Ok here goes

    Hart 6.0
only safe pick for back at city, even though palace are decent attacking, city are starting to tighten up.
    Jan maat 5.2
Sunderland have poor away attack, even though a derby he can offer points at both ends
    Davies 4.4
looked really good in games and burnley won't score
    Jenkinson 5.0
team on form and stars are good for him to get attacking points also
    Tadic 7.8
Southampton were really unlucky in least home game and he still was all over the game. Due another return of points and Everton aren't great at a as
    Toure 10.8
Need to get in city somewhere and pens and free kicks sway it
    Downing 6.3
Again team in form and everything comes through him
    Eriksen 8.1
Burnley will park the bus so plenty of room for him to shine
    Fabs 9.6
Weeks rest and produces away from home
    Sahko 5.8
Toss of coin between him and Carroll but it's against Leicester so goals should be there.
    Austin 6.0
    Weeks rest and at home

    So team is
    Hart
    Janmaat Davies jenkinson
    Tadic toure fabs downing eriksen
    Sahko Austin

    Alnwick

    Jenkinson , Davies , Zabaleta

Downing , Sanchez , Eriksen, Yaya

Austin , Van Persie , Bony

Alnwick : Newcastle are at home , Sunderland have been quite poor for a number of weeks now and offer greater value at the back then upfront

Jenkinson : Mostly due to budget concerns but he does offer attacking threat http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/1026/

Downing : http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/1373/ he tops chances created

Sanchez : Liverpool have been so poor and he continues to contribute felt like a no brainer tbh

Eriksen : 39 points in the last few weeks + burnley incredible form

Yaya : City will be relying on him to step up without a recognized centre forward + pens . The most likely source of City attacking threat

Austin : Great form , well rested

Van Persie : Utd form + form

Bony : So many shots and most goals scored in calender year

    Here we go again

    Hart (CPL)
Janmaat (SUN) Yun (WBA) Creswell (LEI)
Downing (LEI) Yaya (CPL) Eriksen(BUR) Sanchez (LIV)
    RVP(AVL) Austin(WBA) Sakho (LEI)

    Total: 81.6

    Explanation:
    --------------------

Hart: Guaranteed starter. Easy home game. City have been tight at the back lately and with all strikers out, goals will be hard to get so they will focus even more on defense.

Janmaat: Newcastle will be looking to bounce back after their last heavy defeat. Sunderland are not scoring atm so a CS is probable. Janmaat also offers goal and assist potential.

Yun: WBA not scoring much lately so he is a decent budget price pick.

Creswell: Good CS potential against the helpless Leceister City. He also offers assist potential from his dangerous crosses with Caroll there.

Downing and Sakho: The main attacking threat for a good Westham team. I can see them scoring 3 against Leceister and both will be involved.

Yaya: Plays at home against a weak team. Will have more attacking duty with no strikers in the team. He also has penalties in his locker.

Sanchez: In great form and plays against a Liverpool team that has no defense.

Eriksen: In great form over the last 3-4 GWs.

Austin: QPR have done well at home and Austin is the main man andon penalties. He will be back rested after missing last week through suspension.

RVP: Reborn again. 4 goals and 2 assists in the last 4 games. Utd are expected to continue winning given their great vein of form.

    Foster (qpr) .
Foster looks solid for WBA at the moment and I reckon they'll keep QPR quiet.

Azpi (sto) -- Clichy (CPL) -- Naylor (hul)
Azpilicueta is back from rest, should be attacking against a Stoke team which failed to impress last week. As much as I'd like to think we'll give City a fight, which we will, I can't see us scoring any goals due to our lack of a top class striker, therefore I think City'll keep a CS, and Clichy may get attacking points. I can't see Hull scoring many goals either against Swansea, and Naylor looks an ideal pick from the Swansea back line.

Hazard (sto) -- Sanchez (liv) -- Eriksen (BUR) -- Downing (LEI)
Hazard and Alexis require no words, they're on form and can easily see them picking up points against Stoke who are going to be on the backfoot the whole game and Liverpool who are not in the best of form as of late, can see Alexis ripping their defence to shreds. Eriksen looks dangerous at the moment, and I reckon he'll grab one against Burnley and as for Downing, he's on great form at the moment, and I wouldn't put it past him to score or assist a couple at the weekend.

Bony (hul) -- RVP (avl) -- Kane (BUR)
Bony looks like he'll score every game at the moment and Hull are out of form, and look weaker at the back than last year, he could sneak a couple. RVP has the ability to score a lot in the coming weeks, and Villa looks like the opportune game to show that he's back to the form of recent years, and finally Kane is on great form and I think Spurs will smash Burnley, I can see him grabbing at least one definitely especially from Eriksen's service.

Interesting teams, so far - I shall attempt to add to that! 🙂

    Doosra’s Scout Challenge XI(GW 17)

    Fabianski(hul)5.2
    Cresswell(LEI)5.5, Ivanovic(sto)7.2, Clichy(CPL)5.6
    Downing(LEI)6.3, Touré(CPL)10.8, Eriksen(BUR)8.1, Cazorla(liv)8.1
    van Persie(avl)12.6, Sakho(LEI)5.8, Austin(WBA)6.0 … 81.2

Fabianski is in good form, up against a toothless Hull side:
    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/1151/

I judge both Cresswell and Ivanovic to have a reasonable chance of a clean sheet each, while their attacking threat is at it's height right now: http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/1026/, and Clichy should also garner a clean sheet, and probably some bonus as well!

My midfield is selected from these three tables, where they all dominate the stats:

    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/402/
    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5595/
    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/1373/

Van Persie needs no introduction, and my other two are no cheap fillers!!!
    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/939/

We need to take another bite out of the Scouts, and I am confident that this team will do the business! 🙂

Hey all. First time I've gone for it, go on vote for me.

    Hart
    Jenkinson-Mangala-B Davies
    Downing-Silva-Eriksen-Sanchez
    Austin-Caroll-RvP

    Hart.
Although City will be rotating a bit at the back due to injuries and players returning from injury, Joe Hart is a mainstay and they have now got 3 clean sheets in 4. I feel it must be mentioned that 3 of their last 4 have been on the road and now that trend reverses, coupled with their opponents now being extremely favourable. I fully expect a nice polished 6 points from Hart.

    Jenkinson.
West Ham have struggled for shut outs of late, but I see this weekend as almost a sure thing. In addition, Jenkinson is my favoured pick this weekend due to his brilliant crossing stats and Caroll looking great at home after heading 2 crosses last time out.

    Ben Davies
He has now really put his stamp on the Spurs outfit. He has continued last seasons form now that he has broken in to the team and yesterdays assist was just reward for the efforts he's been putting in. Put that next to the fact that Burnley are poor going forward, he's a sure pick for me.

    Mangala.
I would love to punt on a full back, but due to the uncertainty I am playing "safe" with Mangala. He is really dominating at the back, Vincent Kompany is clearing rubbing off on him and some of that showed as he picked up 3 bonus points in a hard fought 0-1 win.

    Downing.
The ultimate budget option in the middle of the park at the moment. His assist potential is clear as his crossing has been brilliant. He has taken up a few roles around the park, showing a versatility that was probably unknown to many. But now he's chipping in with goals, hoovering up bps, and looking like getting points in every game he would be foolish to ignore.

    Sanchez.
Back when he was at Barcelona, it took a very long time for me to warm to this chap, he was very wasteful and dived far too often. But after a season he really took off. In the PL he has been incredible. At first he was being rotated to the scorn of many; but the angle taken by Wenger has proven very fruitful. Watching him at the weekend I found myself clapping along with his party tricks like a monkey begging for a banana, such was my enthusiasm for his 10/10 performance. Add that to 7 goals, 4 assists and 14 bonus points, I wonder why I just got him in last week.

    Silva.
The little Spanish magician looks primed for this game after returning from injury and playing a full 90 minutes last time out. His problem could lay in there being no clear attacker this weekend but I can see him threading through anyone or even adding to his 2 goals this season.

    Eriksen.
A player who has often frustrated, he is one of those that can pop in and out of a team more times than Dzeko. But this time, surely this time its for real.
3 goals, 2 assists and 9 bonus points has meant that Eriksen is now joint third for midfielders alongside Fabregas. A juicy home fixture to Burnley should only add to that.

    Austin.
When it comes to his home games what more is there to say. People have been rather captain shy with him, most due to a certain now injured Argentine, but this week however expect to see plenty of new found faith in him. He has done me very well as I put the armband on him in his last 2 at Loftus road where he in that time got 2 goals and 2 assists and 3 bonus (and 3 yellows). I fully expect the same.

    Caroll.
West Ham have 1 loss since September, scoring plenty in that time. To Doosra's delight, this has lead me to this, yes thats right, a West Ham triple up baby.
His performance was described as unplayable in his last display at Upton Park, and I have to agree. With Cresswell and Jenkinson ranking right at the top of the crossing tables and Caroll being probably the best headerer of the ball in the country if not Europe (outside Ronaldo), it bodes very well.

    RvP.
For this third striker spot it was very tough. I was so close to Kane, which would have meant being ridiculously under budget. Kane looked on fire and is at home but when Rvp, gets in to his stride, you can't ignore him, I don't expect it to last long but you got to get him while he's hot.

Go on give us a vote.

    Adrian
    Demichelis P.Jones Ivanovic
    Cazorla Eriksen Downing Yaya Toure
    Van Persie Austin Carroll

Really based around fixtures as usual.

Adrian - A great fixture at home to Leicester, and the Hammers have been pretty tight at home this season.

Demichelis - Finally nailed on with Kompany's injury, and now has a fantastic debut fixture with Crystal Palace at home. The man is a insane BAPS magnet as well, and is also a great threat from headers. So you've got CS potential, goal threat and Baps as well. He's also involved in quite a few lay offs with his head( The actual term for this is escaping me 😛 ) so assists are also there.

Jones - Another Baps magnet and seems to be preferred in a partnership with Evans. Also a threat from corners, and set pieces and is now poised for a great fixture against Aston Villa who have been dire in front of goal. They have failed to score in several occasions so far this season.
Ivanovic - Chelsea have a great fixture against Stoke and Ivanovic is Chelsea's most attacking defender. Their best defensive option, and with cash ITB I went for him.

CAZORLA - THe man is in fine form, and I'd say the best Arsenal mid option ATM. Brimming in confidence after his brace agianst Newcastle that was topped off with a fantastic chipped penalty to show how confident he was. He's now scored 3 times in the last 2 GWs. With his confidence, and the prime fixgture against an incredibly leaky Liverpool defence, I think he'll do the business once more this weekend.
ERIKSEN - Another man in fantastic form, scoring a last minute winner to grab the 3 points for Spurs against Swansea. Eriksen is Spurs' chief creator and is on most if not all set pieces, and the man can shoot from anywhere. Is a big goal threat even if he's not always shooting in the box, as shwon by his goal on the weekend. 3 goals and 1 assists in the last 5 games, pretty good form, and has a very koind fixture scheduel that starts with BUR at home this weekend, up against a leaky Burnely defence I'm confident he'll produce the goods once more.
YAYA TOURE - The man is now on penalties with Aguero's absence and also on some FKs, and we know just how many points he can get from that alone. He's also the driving force behind City, and with no strikers for City atm, he might be relied upon more to be City's goal threat. A top option for their prime fixture against a leaky Palace side at their fortress, The Etihad.
STEWART DOWNING - THe englishman has been simply sublime this season with 3 goals and 6 assists so far. He's been one of the biggest creators in the premier league this season, just behind the likes of Fabregas and also has been quite the goal threat. WIth the Hammers' attacking form on the rise, and their attacking prowess this season, I'd say he'd be a great pick for their opportune fixture in GW 17. They face a leaky Leicester defence at home.

Charlie Austin - Another premier league surprise, the QPR man seems to have found his feet in the premier league after a shaky start, since GW 3, the forward has scored 8 times and has picked up 3 assists along the way. Incredibly impressive for the Championship forward, and the man is also on spot kick duty to add to his appeal. A great fixture against West Brom at home(where QPR and Austin more specifically have been fantastic), cements the home boy's spot in my Scout picks team.

Andy Carroll - Since his return from injury in GW 12, Carroll has scored twice and picked up 2 assists, and was very unlucky not to have scored another against Sunderland He now seems to be the focal point of the Hammers' attack and with him having great statistics in the last few, better than any Hammers forward, I think he's a great pick for their fixture against the leaky Foxes at home.

Robin Van Persie - HE'S BACK! In the last 4 weeks, RVP has scored 3 times and picked up 2 assists and has seemed to have finally shaken off his post-WC niggle. The man looks a lot sharper and if he's back to the flying dutchman of old, this could be a prime fixture for him to cement himself as a top FPL option. Away to Villa, this is a fixture that RVP loves having scored a hattrick against them last season. THE best forward option this week, in my opinion.

Hope you like the team, and if you do, vote for it! 🙂

    Team cost: £81.8m
    De Gea
    Clichy, Cresswell, Yun Suk-Young
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Yaya, Downing
    Costa, Bony, Kane

Dea Gea: Has shown good form and Villa don't score many

Clichy: Cheapest of the ManC defence
Cresswell: Nailed on and Leicester are goal shy
Yun Suk-Young: Budget option, QPR good at home against lower sides

    Sanchez: Liverpool wobbly at back
Eriksen: Good opponent, had a good game vs Swansea
Yaya: On pens, might get pushed forward with striker shortage
Downing: Been a consistent performer for me

    Costa: Consistent if not spectacular
    Bony: Hull in poor form
Kane: Budget option against a weak away team

    DDG
    Zabaleta - Janmaat - Terry
    Eriksen - Silva - Cazorla - Mata
van Persie - Austin - Carroll
    Exactly 82,6 by my calculations.

In goal, DDG gets the nod based on his performances of late. Aston Villa aint exactly Barcelona when it comes to attacking, so even van Gaals defence should be able to keep them out. And even if Jones/Evans/Young perform as they use to, DDG has plenty of lifesavers in his pocket.

Zabaleta is back from his rest, fully ready to charge upon Crystal Palace. With their strikers out, watch out for Pellegrini pushing his fullbacks (Lolarov!) as high up the pitch as possible. Dangers of conceding, sure, but Zabas attacking threats earns him the spot.

JT. Usual stuff. Mourinho loves clean sheets, Terry loves a goal or three each season (16 total in his last 4 seasons), Chelsea are the best side in the league. Easy peasy.

Janmaat faces a Sunderland side as interested in scoring goals as I am interested in getting a tattoo of Titus Bramble on my butt. Newcastle got thrashed at Arsenal, but this is a different challenge. Janmaat also has a goal and 3 assists so far, making him a threat offensively.

Eriksen at home to Burnley and I dont think much more is needed to say. Sure, he loves the blank at WHL against inferior opposition, but his form is unquestionable.

Cazorla is finally finding some of his 2012/13 form, and the little magician could damage any defence on his day. When that defence is a Liverpool in shambles, he could get as many points as he wants. (and after getting me 28 pts v Newcastle he gets the spot no matter what!)

Mata. When he plays, he gets points, Man Utd are in a lucky streak and he could fortune from it again. Aston Villa are better going backwards than forwards, but havent kept a CS at home since GW2.

To complete the midfield of Spanish midgets, i choose David Silva. An FPL enigma, famous for his 3 pointers and 3rd assists, he still is an amazing player. Who knows how Man City will line up, but when City have 75 % possession at the Etihad (and they will v CPA) he is a danger.

Van Persie is finding his shooting boots. 36 pts last 4 games. Nuff said.

Austin is back after his stupid red card, giving him a good weeks rest before hosting WBA at Loftus. 6 goals and 2 assists last 7 games, fresh and fit as a fiddle he will make sure to make up for his silly suspension.

Big Andy Carroll is the teams wildcard pick, getting his spot based on his sexy looks and boyish charm. Facing the Premier Leagues worst side at the Boleyn isnt half bad either, and with Fat Sam getting giddy at the prospects of Andy scoring headers this could be a goal bonanza.

Right gents, it's my first time challenging so would love the opportunity, I hope you like it enough to give it an upvote!
I'll keep the explanations short and sweet 🙂

    Hart (CRY 6.1)

Clichy (CRY 5.6), Cresswell (LEI 5.5), Davies (BUR 4.4)

Downing (LEI 6.3), Eriksen (BUR 8.1), Mata (avl 8.5), Yaya Toure (CRY 10.8)

Bony (hul 8.6), Austin (WBA 6.0), RVP (avl 12.6)

    £82.5

    GK:
Hart - at home, on form, against weak opposition
    DEF:
Clichy - same as Hart, feel the double up will pay off!
Cresswell - at home, on form, against weak opposition and with attacking potential
Davies - a cheap way into a Spurs defence at home against BUR, I expect a clean sheet
    MID:
Downing - at home, on form, looks to be asserting his essential status
Eriksen - After a dangerous display last GW, Eriksen at home against BUR offers great potential for a repeat display
Mata - arguably MOM for me last GW, posing even greater threat and think he's worth a shot this week!
Yaya - with MCI struggling with injuries up front, Yaya has to step up against a weak CRY at home
    FWD:
Bony - having scored 4 in his last 5 and had a lot of shots on goal last GW, against a struggling Hull offers great goal potential!
Austin - WBA at home presents perfect opportunity for him to get on the scoresheet
RVP - speaks for himself, with 4 goals, 2 assists and 6 bps in his last 5, RVP is on fire!

    Thank you! 🙂

    DDG
    Verthongen-Clichy-Evans
    Yaya-Downing-Eriksen-Fabregas
    RvP-Giroud-Austin

    Gk + Defenders:
Good fixtures and Evans + Clichy managed to keep a clean sheet last gameweek. Adrian should be able to keep a clean sheet against last place Leicester and Verthongen who faces Burnley at home can get a goal or assist if lucky.

    Midfielder:
Downing and Eriksen is in form and got great fixtures. Fabregas is rested against against a stoke who havent been as good at home as last year. Yaya, while blanking last gameweek need to step up his game even more with the current striker situation in Man C.

    Forwards:

Both RvP and Giroud managed to score goals last gameweek and have showed good form recently. Austin is facing West Brom at home and have got a extra week of rest due the the red card.

    Total budget: 82,6 mil

    De Gea

    Azpilicueta - Cresswell - Clichy

    Yaya - Cazorla - Eriksen - Downing

    RVP - Bony - Kane

    82.4

    Brief explanations:

    * De Gea seems to get point anyway, whether United gets a clean sheet or not, so even if Villa manages to score one goal he might still get 3 or 4 points.

    * Azpilicueta is still my first choice when it comes to Chelsea's defense and since he's already been rested we shouldn't worry about him starting against Stoke. If Chelsea gets another CS he'll probably get some BPS too as usual.

    * Clichy might get rested but his the best choice in a not too reliable defense that has lost Kompany once again. Against Palace Clichy might get a CS and maybe even points from attacking returns.

    * Cresswell might very well get a CS too against Leicester and with the quantity of crosses he puts into the area he could deliver new attacking points as he already did in three different GWs.

    * Yaya didn't deliver against Leicester but his fixtures are still great and now that City is without forwards he might get into the area even more unless Pellegrini decides to utilize him as a False 9, which would really transform the ivorian into fantasy gold for the christmas period.

    * Cazorla is in good form and has delivered three goals and one assist in the last four games. Liverpool is weak, confused and might succumb to the talents of Sanchez, Giroud and Santi himself.

    * Eriksen is a slow burner but he delivers, especially when Chadli is not on the field. Three goals and two assists in the last five games with match against Burnley next; the dane looks set to increase his total FPL score, possibly with another double digit.

    * Downing is very template but a game that sees him against Leicester is too tasty to pass on. He delivered points in each of the last three games and there's no reason why he should stop now, especially when he can assists two in form strikers such as Sakho and Carroll.

    * RVP is back apparently and he appears to be the Aguero's replacements that some of us were looking for. Three double digits in the last four games are very difficult to overlook and a very tasty run fixtures that goes on until march further suggests that he might go back to his old scoring habits.

    * Bony is a beast. Even if Swansea is not in great form, even if they can't win a game or if they can't score more than one goal per game, it doesn't really matter; the ivorian will bring the points with great consistency and a much lower price than players like Costa or Rooney. He delivered points in each of the last five games with four goals and one assist and he is one of the most in-form players in the PL right now.

    * Kane is a great third striker option at least until mid january. I don't know if the Spurs will buy a new striker and even if they will Kane might still play as a second striker keeping his starting place. What i do know is that, priced at 5.0, he is delivering some interesting points and his next two fixtures are good enough to bring him in even if you already have Eriksen. He's also a good option over Austin since he is 1 million cheaper and that can't be too bad when there's an RVP fever around.

    Lloris (BUR 5.6)

Zabaleta (CRY 6.4), Cresswell (LEI 5.5), Caulker (WBA 4.7)

Downing (LEI 6.3), Eriksen (BUR 8.1), Nasri (CPL 8.2), Yaya Toure (CRY 10.8)

Sakho ( LEI 5.8), Austin (WBA 6.0), RVP (avl 12.6)

    A nice round 80.0

Lloris - Still the league's best keeper, Spurs have tightened up at home and can notch a cleanie here

Zabaleta - fresh from a rest last week, City also tightened up and has licence to get forward
Cresswell - mini-Baines, can grab a cleanie at home and assist at the other end
Caulker - Overdue a goal and can notch against poor West Brom who are toothless in attack too

Downing - Attacking returns in last 4 games, set to continue against hapless Leicester
Eriksen - Matching the heavy hitters blow for blow on current form
Nasri - most in-form City midfielder, will have licence to push on with no striker fit
Toure - same as above but with pennos added

Sakho - Ripped Swans apart last home gain, set to continue here
Austin - Almost guaranteed goals on home soil
Van Persie - Bang in form, deadly in the box and Villa have struggled against the big boys this season

Shocking to see so much of Clichy in these teams. People do realize that City are without a striker (so need all the attacking help they can get) and Kolarov is back? Mind-boggling
