Their starting fixtures are horrendous. mci, che, TOT, mun in the first 5!!I do agree that the Everton defence will be decent this season, but starting with any seems a bit nuts. Might as well wait and see. » Read

Depends on prices and signings. If the Baggies make a few strong signings I'm on board with Foster/Myhill.Only 6 CSs last season, McAuley is a year older, and Fletcher left for Stoke. They need massive improvement or they're gone. » Read

I usually start 4.5/4.0 because money is tight at the start and you can just get a keeper from a team with a good opening run of fixtures. Then get 4.5/4.5 on the first WC once the nice fixtures end to help dodge any blanks that may arise from surprise DGWs. Having two keepers from the same team near DGW season is risky! » Read

Wow, outstanding article Mark.I love going budget in the defensive areas just to take advantage of the hidden value found in rotation. That Holebas/Smith rotation would have been amazing. Will have to bookmark this article πŸ˜€But am I right in thinking that keepers generally get more save points in tougher fixtures? Whilst this doesn't negate the positives of rotation, it does help add some additional points to a single-team pairing (4.5/4.0) that would have otherwise been avoided by a rotation pair (4.5/4.5).I remember having many 4.5m keepers in past get a monster haul against tough opponents thanks to save pts, a surprise CS, and baps. I wonder if this is enough to make 4.5/4.0 better value than 4.5/4.5 though... » Read

Possibly. Although I feel I would be guessing. I don't know why teams are better home than away - it could be psychology, pitch size/surface, or both. If both, what ratio? And what are the psychological factors? We'll just have to watch Spurs in pre-season and see how they get on there, I suppose. » Read

Crystal Palace's sponsorship deal with ManBetX is believed to be the 8th largest club deal by value in the Premier League! How did that happen?! Is it just because other clubs deals haven't been finalised yet since the multi-billion pound surge in Premier League TV-rights?Or have Palace just done extremely well in advertising their London-based club to investors? » Read

People are always changing, so I'd never rule it out, but he doesn't seem cut of the right cloth for management. Will always be a legendary player though, currently Wales' finest. (Bale is getting there) » Read

Agreed, most of his shots are long range so will never have the conversion rate of Kane.I am expecting a rise though, he is still taking many in the box http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/19129/ » Read

After looking at home and away statistics in depth and seeing what a huge difference playing at home makes, I'm open to this theory.Hopefully they become accustomed to the pitch during pre-season, so it becomes their home turf. » Read

Individually, they're two of the highest performing players in the game. Placing both together in one person's FPL team won't change that. I may double up too (Maybe Erik over Alli) unless someone can convince me the Wembley Curse is genuine. The return of the witch that destroys Kane's early season fortune is something that I'm unlikely to budge on. She's been killed imo. » Read

Mane and Redmond look solid. Not sold on Son's gametime though.Fabregas could be an incredible pick if he does keep that position. I suppose it depends on new Chelsea signings. » Read

It's hard for me to say having missed much of the season, but it sounds like he may not have been completely comfortable with role that Conte demanded. Should he be relied upon to produce high up the pitch when his game excels in the defensive areas? He doesn't seem have the pace to be running up and down the pitch in a 2-CM system. » Read

I have no idea how they're going to be priced - it could go so many ways.Going by some of the articles on the FPL site, they take into account PpG when deciding prices. So I'd be surprised if Mane is cheaper than Coutinho. » Read
