The ScoutCast – Episode Seventy Six – Preparation D

Hitting the airwaves early this week, the ScoutCast makes a return to the fray with preparations for the double fixtures still using up our headspace. Mark and I rinse through the latest permutations of Gameweek 36, almost exhausted by the tactical nuances on offer. It’s almost too much for a Tuesday afternoon.

Of course, the podcast regulars rear their head and I do my upmost to keep my chin up despite the mini-league gap: Mark tries desperately not to gloat and fails as always. You never know – maybe all those eggs he’s put in the basket of Gameweek 36 are destined to be scrambled.

    This week's super-differentials:

    Weimann (SUN, BOL)
    Taarabt (TOT)
    Maxi Rodriguez (WBA)
    Wheater (SWA, avl)

    ...
    de Vries (MCI)

    Hahaha joking.

That's one big gamble. I'm very tempted by Weimann though I think I will stick with my plan and get Cisse in.

Got Cisse already - kind of makes Weimann even harder to bring in given he'd replace Rooney or RVP 😀

Am trying to pick a defender for this gameweek and cant seem to decide - who would you choose from:

    1) Huth / Shawcross
    2) Wheater
    3) James Collins
    4) Gary Cahill

Other defenders in the team include Simpson, Evans, Akotto, Kelly
Also thinking of taking the risk of selling RVP for Tevez! Yay or Nay?

How's my line-up looking? I think Baines will either play 90 or none and i'd prefer to play a penalty-taker than Turner i think. Chelsea are looking good but i'd imagine Chelsea will be tired and Arsenal are bound to score.

I think I would go with Caulker. My theory from foggy memory and little data is that Swansea are really good against bad teams and I think there will be goals in the Arsenal/Chelsea game. Although I guess CahillVerm could score those goals... but defender goals are a lottery.

realistically is 78 points too much to catch up my ML leader over the next 4 GW's, im unsure if i should go all out to try and beat him or play it safe to finish 2nd, the difference in winnings is £600 1st place £200 second place....

my gut feeling is Barfa will not keep the form up, and i dont know if i justify dropping rooney as his run in always goes good, plus i have a feeling ML leader will do roon->ade. andrews is basically 3rd sub every week because he is cheap. i have been burned by VDV before but i love the player, will Valencia pick his form up though?

I love Chelsea fans who said Lampard was washed up and should never wear the shirt again. Now they're choking back on Frank's fat one and falling over themselves to praise him for his admittedly vital robbing of the ball from Messi.

Well done Chelski anyway and fair play to the fans like Daniel who backed he who can only be described as a club legend.

Evening gents. A big well done to Chelsea. I thought ACole was man-of-the match by far...

This week seems a long week because, at the moment I feel like the only person in the world not doing the Rooney/ RVP to Aguero/ Tevez thing.

So, can you make me feel better ; if you're holding onto Wazza & Wobin.........shout....ME

WBA have absolutely zilch to play for. Kenny will want a big win to show up poor old Woy. Caroll and Suarez to rip it up, imo.
I hope your'e not banking on Suarez for the 2nd DGW game as I reckon only Reina and maybe Agger will play in that one (out of the regular starters)

hhmm...I hope he does get 60 mins vs Fulham. My plan is (was) to go to Ade. Might just keep him as it does seem a waste to do 1 dgwer to another, plus the Norwich fixture looks good too.

i think arse will win convincingly, chelsea did a lot of running after the ball the last 20 minutes and with the fact they have about 3 fit defenders in total i can see RVP filling his boots.

Arsenal 4 - Chelsea 0 (the wheels have to fall off at some time for chelsea!)

      united 2-0 standard i think?

Would really love to do Sess to Maxi this week but Dalglish won't play him 🙁

I'm fairly sure he will play him. But you are right it's too risky an FPL move

        +1

Btw, hope Dalglish just walks away in the summer. We need Rafa back big time.

after such a productive gw34 for most, do we think gw35 could throw up some strange results?

Wigan 3-0 Fulham. Dempsey misses a pen then gets a red card.

Today we've leart something. If Abra wan't to see Barca-like football in Chelsea game, Chelsea have to play with Barca.

If you could play only ONE of these three strikers for this GW, who would it be?

Rooney (EVE), Cisse (STO), Adebayor (qpr)

Please do not take into consideration the upcoming gameweek. Basically, you do you think will score the highest this gw of the three?

    Thanks,

Cisse, Ade, Roon in that order. Rooney sucks against everton and Distin FA cup blip aside they've been solid defensively of late.
