The ScoutCast – Episode Seventy Six – Preparation D

Hitting the airwaves early this week, the ScoutCast makes a return to the fray with preparations for the double fixtures still using up our headspace. Mark and I rinse through the latest permutations of Gameweek 36, almost exhausted by the tactical nuances on offer. It’s almost too much for a Tuesday afternoon.

Of course, the podcast regulars rear their head and I do my upmost to keep my chin up despite the mini-league gap: Mark tries desperately not to gloat and fails as always. You never know – maybe all those eggs he’s put in the basket of Gameweek 36 are destined to be scrambled.

Anyone care to speculate about how Wolves and Terry Connor will try to deal with City this weekend?

Off topic : Looking forward to the cup final so much. I'm glad we face Chelsea rather than Spurs...Liverpool haven't got to grips with Spurs pacey attackers in the last few meetings.

Liverpool have beaten Chelsea in the last 4 meetings.

Kenny Dalglish, as a manager and a player, has won 27 major trophies with Liverpoool; more than Chelsea in their history (21)!

Stevie G, more than anyone will want to rub EL-Traitor's face in it with a winners medal after Fernando claimed he left us to win more trophies. ( 2-0 on the trophy count would make a nice start, eh ? )....and no, they're not going to win the CL...although fair play great perform\nce and result tonight...ACole was immense).
Good night all...I'm a bit pished

oops sorry posted on an old article before cuz I was reading the previous article. soo repost:

hey guys a bit stumped how to go forward… heres a few ideas I had. which do you think looks the best? or is there something I’m missing? thanks!

    current team:

    vorm, mig
    verm, enrique, evans, simpson, kelly
    walcott, dempsey, valencia, sess, siggy
    rvp, rooney, cisse

    which do you like better?

    a)
    this week: sess to hba
next week: walcott to bale, enrique to baines 4pt hit

    b)
    this week: rooney to tevez
next week: tevez to ade, sess to bale/vdv 4pt hit

    c)
    this week: rooney to tevez
next week: tevez to ade, enrique to baines 4pt hit

or should I be looking at BAE instead of baines?

      a) not sure about man city in two weeks time league could be over ben afra guarantees plenty of fight until the end of the season.
It all depends whether you think city can catch united or not.

Was thinking of bringing in an AV deender for GW35 only and cant quite afford Collins so was wondering who there other 3 nailed on defenders are for next 2 GW's, Cueller was injured but no longer? And was Lichaj his cover so no idea whether either of those 2 will start both games.

    Any help appreciated.

    For gw31, I took a 4pt hit for:

    Baines (9pts) IN / Enrique (1pt) OUT
    Valencia (13pts) IN / Young (6pts) OUT
    Adebayor (13pts) IN / Ba (2pts) OUT

In gw33 I used my 2 freebites to do:

    Walcott (13pts) IN / Bale (2pts) OUT
    Vermaelen (6pts) IN / Skrtel (1pt) OUT

For gw35 I have used my 2 freebies for:

    Tevez IN / RvP OUT
    Aguero IN / Rooney OUT

The previous manouvers have seen me move from perennial 3rd to top spot in my mini league. If the 3rd comes off, I could realistically end it this coming gw.

If so, these moves will go down in my personal FPL folklore.

Team at the moment for GW35 (1 free transfer & 0.9m in the bank):

    Krul(STO)
    Kompany(wol) Vermaelen(CHE) Evans(EVE)
    Walcott(CHE) Sigurdsson(bol) Bale(qpr) Valencia(EVE)
    Rooney(EVE) RVP(CHE) Cisse(STO)

subs - Vorm, Simpson, McClean, Kelly

    Best approach for this week?
    a) Walcott > Demspey
    b) Rooney > Aguero
    c) both, for a 4 point hit
    d) nothing, and have 2 valuable frees for GW36

I would do it. Dont think sunderland are gonna be much of a threat for the rest of the season.

pretty much if i get in tevez will need cisse for dgw, so will have to lose RVP or tevez for gw 36. If i lose RVP for gw 36 can do ade -RVP for home game against norwich. good?

Interesting idea shiping Ade to RVP afterwards. I may look into that.

Cisse has an extra fixture over a city player so he gets priority. I could ship RVP out for a hit to a city player perhaps but I don't think it will be worth the risk even though I need to take risks

    a)
    get: hba, bale, baines
    lose: sess, walcott, enrique

    b)
get: tevez (this week) ade (dgw through end), bale/vdv
    lose: rooney, sess

    c)
get: tevez (this week) ade (dgw through end), baines
    lose: rooney, enrique

or should I be looking at BAE instead of baines?

    Morning deadzone

    DONE!!

    Me: Rooney -> Tevez

Mrs China Mag: Valencia + Rooney -> Silva + Aguero

The balance of power has shifted back to the blue half of manchester. In real AND fantasy football.

I didn't watch the match last night. Was fully expecting a barca victory.

Should I be worried now about Chelsea "stealing" our champions league spot when we finish 4th?

Barca should have a comfortable victory at Camp Nou, although I wouldn't be overly surprised if Chelsea sneak away with a 2-1 loss and go through on away goals.
