Here we are then, the final day. Will we get a dramatic climax or will City close out the title in a cool, efficient manner? Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to soak up the reactions as the Fantasy season draws to end with the day’s ten three o’clock kick-offs.

The team news is in and available via our tweets as always. The headlines have Fernando Torres benched in a much-changed Chelsea lineup, while Sir Alex Ferguson plays silly buggers and fields Jonny Evans, 24-hours after announcing he’ll need ankle surgery in the summer. The trickster is playing us right to the end. Roberto Mancini stays cool and fields an unchanged lineup, while Mark Hughes in opposition hopes that a clash with his old side can bring out the magic in Shaun Wright-Phillips – he and Djibril Cisse look to provide the unexpected for visiting QPR.

I’ll be knocking about the chatroom throughout the ninety minutes as the curtain gradually closes on another superb Premier League season. Brace yourselves.

    Well, thanks for everything folks. Not been my best season by a long shot.

    Taken a few lessons with me.

    1. Take fewer hits, have more faith in players abilities in the medium term.
    2. Be more aware of a players change in form and transfer them in earlier pienaar/Boyce/ etc
    3. Chase clean sheets as much as goals
    4. Always captain RVP
    5. Never trust a red flag

            He was given 59 mins and 4 points on FPL but in reality he played over 60 and should have got 6 😛

          was'nt there a similar situation here with Valencia or some other mid like that 3 gw's ago...went off on 59:45 or something....only got 1 point....swings and roundabouts
          hit me hard but FPL dont rettract

      Every site that I have looked at, has van der Vaart playing 60 minutes, not 59. Could his points total be adjusted, please?

        Press Association times it as 59 mins 32 secs - and unfortunately that's the one that counts, even if its wrong. But I'm all for the extra couple of points, so good luck.

      I have owned Chelsea defenders for 12 games this season (Bos early on, now Terry) and have not had a single clean sheet from them.

      I have owned a Norwich defender for 1 game and got a clean sheet from them.

    Here's a thought:

    By my rough calculations, if United had shut up shop late on and only lost at Old Trafford by 1-2 instead of 1-6, United and City would be level on points, goal difference and goals scored, so we would be looking at a play-off for the title.

    A playoff.

    For the title.

    Wow - this season could still have been even more spectacular than it turned out to be.

    Well done City, best team over the season but even with all the money it came down to a last gasp winner. Utd played most of the season without Vidic and it probably cost them. Still dont think there is as much between them as people are making out. Next year should be very interesting. The good thing today is maybe, just maybe, that Champions League spot that Arsenal got might be enough to convince RVP to give it 1 more year , heres hoping.

    FPL has been good this year.
    apart from...
    1) GW1 mess
    2) bonuses are so slow
    3) leagues have updated slowly

    however ...
    1) the new layout was cool
    2) obviously the scout is better than the pundit
    and
    3) i retained my league title
    4) bettered last years rank;)

    I'll finish with a lower rank than last season but I don't mind too much, just didn't get the roll of the ball at certain times..

      Can't really be too bitter about it, we did the same in the 1999 CL final. People are saying they wish City had done it the easy way but I don't agree, the drama actually made me feel better about it. I wasn't even on the edge on my seat, I was standing up for the final 15 minutes. Ridiculous.

    It's the 2nd year in a row a side's won their opening match 4-0 away and gone done!

          I am pulling out of Euro 2012 fantasy football. I want a longer break from any fantasy football, I dont want to watch Euro 2012 hoping for pts for my players.               Evans rising from the dead to get a CS on my bench and Walker getting injured denying a CS will mean I will lose a 3rd placed PP cup play off. Feeling angry at this when I should be proud of getting this far has made me rethink what is important to me.

    Thank you all for your help through the season, it's no coincidence that my best season in FPL came at when I joined this site. Long may it continue.

    I'm not sure why a lot of people on here wanted City to win. Even if you hate Fergie (which apparently lots do), you'd still hate to see the fact that a team won the title pretty much by spending 700 million pounds. As neutrals, we should want the team that plays well, not that spends money!
