Fantasy League Pro – The Wrap Up

With today’s deadline looming across all the Fantasy games, your lineups should be close to being finalised – your Fantasy League pro auctions now complete.

I put the final piece in my 15-man squad with the capture of Mario Balotelli on Wednesday evening, he’ll work in a dubious partnership with Robin Van Persie to carry my hopes over the group stages.

Of course, the League Chairman should now have moved their games on and paved the way for sealed bidding to start on transfers. I’ve set my league to allow transfers after every set of Group matches, with a first deadline at 10pm on June 11 – I’m limiting bids to 5 per round with 20 over the tournament as a whole. Your chairman might have done different – that’s certainly one of the interesting elements of the Pro game.

Chairman can set your sealed bids deadline for the first round of transfers via their Chairman’s Office, by clicking on Sealed Bids. Here you can set a deadline for managers to make bids for the remaining free agents. You go back to this screen on the deadline to process the bids – watch out for any bids made after the deadline when you do. By default, managers can make unlimited transfers over the tournament – if you want to restrict that, you can do so, again via the Chairmans Office. This initial screen is also where a Chairman can change the cap on the number of players per country – I’m tweaking mine to 4 after the group stages are complete.

If there are any Chairman struggling to move their game on past the auction phase, due to final bids not being made or teams failing to make bids, then they should contact prosupport@fantasyleague.com asap. Provide details of your division id (available in the url of your league page) and the team id’s effected (available in the url of the teams in question) and they will resolve the issue so you can move you games on in time for today’s kick-off.

Fantasy League Classic

If you missed out on the Fantasy League Pro action, and you’re still looking out for an alternative to your McDonalds lineup, you can still take advantage of the Fantasy League Classic game. Entry to this is £5 with over £10,000 in the prize pot, including £5,000 to the winner.

    Would really appreciate any feedback on this team. Not completely convinced about Eriksen, but not sure who to replace him with (0.5 in the bank).

          why would you want schweisteiger? the 4 guys in front of him should hoover up the goals and assists and i'd bet that recovered ball baggage will be khedira's task. so many better options out there.

            that's misleading, manager was only saying he has a fully fit squad, the rest was said by some blogger who claimed himself an expert:

            As I said there, Izmailov got called to the national team for the first time in about 6 years, played just 100 minutes in total in 2 friendlies where he just looked lively. Dzagoev played the whole qualifying campaign and was the one of the highest scoring players there and missed only the first friendly against Uruguay only because of his injury. He also participated in the Italy demolition, while Izmailov missed that game.

            Can't see Advokaat changing one of team leaders for a dark horse.

        Wow, essentially the same defence and midfield!

        Like your team also. Ibra would be the one question mark - he's a quality player, but he's up against some reasonable defences (with the exception of Ukraine)

      So fairly similar.

      with 1M in the bank to play with when the window opens.

        I had exactly this team, except CR7 instead of Muller, but decided to change Papa & Alonso -> Perquis and Dzagoev last minute!

    It's a bit weak that players have joined some pro-leagues and then not bothered to complete the auction process. I'm in one of TW's where 5 out of the 10 haven't completed it. I'm guessing people have dropped out because they didn't get the players they wanted....pathetic!

        K Papa situation is still the same, he has strong competition for a starting place but we should know if he'll start before the deadline.

        Perquis has declared himself fit but Boenisch is the same price and will start so maybe is a safer less injury prone pick.

        Yarmolenko should start but there must be doubts that he'll be at his best.

      Dzagoev, Greeks are a very good defensive team and Poland score very little goals. Chechs are also the worst team in the euros.

      Piszczek - Poland's star defender with the best attacking threat
      Perquis - fit to play but only recently recovered from injury
      Boenisch - standard left back, not very attacking

        Boenisch - played just last 2 games for Poland after he spent almost 2 years carrying an injury. He's Poland worst defender and his place in a team maybe in danger, after first game. First to replace him is Wawrzyniak, but he's even worst 🙂

        Piszczek - Poland best defender, most offensive... Scores goals and may have few assists.

        Perquis - broken arm few months a go. But looks really solid and with no proper replacement he should play all games.

        Wasilewski - solid defender, good header, may be on pens if Blaszczykowski wont be on the pitch. Brave lad, who came back to football after horrible injury: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W52fN9_JGSQ

    Do we have any chance to get some new info on russian keeper situation before deadline?
    I have Akinfeev and just not sure if I'm willing to risk it - would be so typical that he won't play and they keep cs.

      I think he'll probably play but why risk it?

      I think Szczesny in goal and a Russian defender is a better option (althought slightly more expensive).

      Just get the starting Greek keeper and get a Russian defender instead

        that could work if 4.0 keeper starts for greece, but bad things are
        - I don't think they will keep cs (other keeper isaksson or given)
        - Maniatis plays for midfield so would be better pick that way

        Could to that anyway, quick decisions when we see the lineups...

    Alright, Daniel has chosen Count of Monte Hristo as his new partner, solves my headache as I had no clue who to decide, Chazza, Boom, Ms.Red, commiserations to all of you, you can't believe how unbelievably difficult it was to choose, ask the other council members, I'm been asking them all to help me, i had drawn up lots towards the end, all of you are wonderful posters, and i'm sure you'll participate next time in the main fpl comp. Congrats to the count, well deserved i'd say. so i'll change the website and spread sheet now, in case i'm out, let the count know whenever he comes online. cheers.

    Forgive the possibly stupid question, I haven't been giving this much attention until now, but if I plan to wildcard after week 1, am I best off activating it immediately tonight and swapping people in and out for price rises a la FPL?

    Unless I'm missing something this seems the way to go.

    i've just been looking at the Pro League stuff. all my teams are in their leagues but it feels like the most fun was had during the auctions.

    i have no idea when or how i can make further changes per game and the SuperSubs option is beyond me.

      The auctions will be the best bit without a doubt. Supersubs bit seems quite easy. It's set for each match, just make sure the ones highlighted in green (the ones playing that game) have a tick next to them so they get you some points.
