Arsenal’s new playmaker dominates, with the pair of us coveting Santi Cazorla’s charms and competing for his affections, whilst, in the back of our minds, wondering if we’re being taken in.

Robin Van Persie also gets some oxygen – don’t worry, that’s not oxygen treatment – he’s just the subject of this week’s discussion as we chew the fat on the “essential” debate that appears to rage on as the Gamweek’s roll by. The regulars all find their place amongst the merriment, as heat is turned up on the mini-league and mini-game struggle between myself and Mancunian magic man.

      Id lose Barfa or Michu out of those, but you probably want to give Michu one last go and ship him next week, so I'd say Barfa.

      And considering Senegal got kicked out of ACON id try to get in Ba in coming weeks for Toon cover, they have good fixtures.

      Hmm, I still think either

      GW8: Tevez -> Giroud, GW9: Michu & Suarez -> Santi & Ba (or Walters & Aguero) for a hit, or

      GW8: save, GW9: Michu & Suarez -> Santi & Berba are better plays.

      Madness to ditch Michu and Barfa this week - both nailed on, one has a great fixture this week and the other great fixtures coming up.

        Both your ideas look better than losing one of those midfielders for Cazorla. Get Giroud in (i.e. first option) if you're worried about Arsenal coverage.

      My planned FT after this weekend is HBA to Nasri.

          I know the fixtures are looking great but I'd really love to have value City coverage. Nasri at 8.2 is looking really good right now.

              chamach wasnt that good even in france. he didnt play a proper striker position in arsenal instead dropped always too much and didnt have too many chances.

              giroud scored goals in france. he playing in a postition where even gervinho can get a goal. hes getting many many chances in a very good arsenal team.

              hes only started 3 games for arse first one being a 0-0, second against liverpool and third producing a goal and an assist. now hes gonna start every game, you have 34 hours 37 min to mock him. then you're gonna pray&sweat for 90 mins (+break) and then you're gonna transfer him in and praise him on this forum!

      Kompany doesn't even seem nailed on, gives a poor return for 7.3 m even if he plays. City conceding and Kompany rarely scores these days. Keep Taylor, possibly fit already and Newcastle defence will improve when they're full strength.
      For Cesar depends on your other keeper. Pick whichever of these Begovic, Foster or Mignolet, possibly even Jaaskelainen, that rotate well with your 2nd keeper and don't have you doubling up that keeper with one of your defenders.

          I reckon Cisse can overshadow ba at any second. Pardew wont want a discruntled cisse.

          HBA always gives you that security that he can assist and score at any time.

    No one considering Jonny Evans? He is the best attacking threat at corners for United, his form is on the up and nailed on at least until Vidic returns. He has 2 though gws, but after that it's smooth sailing. I'm all set on doing Zabaleta->Evans.

                Carrol is fit but Nolan steals the show.

                Fletcher could be a good bet if N castle defence is shattered.

                Pienar also could be a good punt.

                Nothing wrong with it. I agree Suarez is the best striker in the league with the ball at his fit. He lacks the end product though. RVP on the other hand, is a great finisher. Rooney makes a team tick.

        He actually went to see Hughes a number of weeks ago to question why he had been dropped. Was told that his attitude in training and regards fitness wasn't of the required level. He accepted the response and has responded positively.Looks nailed on now.
