The Numbers Game – Attacking Full-Backs

With clean sheets so scarce again this season, Fantasy managers have been largely forced to look to their defenders for attacking returns. With budget options also proving popular acquisitions, there is a drive to identify those defenders who can perhaps offer supplementary points to add to those rare occasions when they can keep their opponents at bay.

Thankfully, the role of the modern-day full-back in the Premier League also appears to have changed, with the emphasis now on joining the attack and helping provide a stream of opportunities for others.

In this latest article for our members, we cast an eye over those full-backs who have recently impressed in this area, assessing those most likely to deliver those occasional assists that can make all the difference to our Gameweek totals.

      so i currently have hughes wilkinson and billy jones starting at the back. with jones very likely to be benched on not in squad, do you guys think its worth a -4 to replace him with glen johnson or rafael or anyone up to 6.5.. i have a FT and 0.5 in the bank so i can get someone up to 4.9 without a hit too. what do you guys reckon

        the -4 would involve downgrading howard to bunn to get 1.5 + 0.5 that i have so 4.4 + 2 will give me 6.4 to spend. my sub defenders are clyne and cuellar.. can also lose cuellar
