Rush. The best form of goalkeepers for the playground. A long-haired Canadian prog-rock outfit. A mustachioed goal sniffer and, sadly, a description of how Granville and myself had to approach this latest episode of the podcast.

With our studio slot limited, we had to skinny things up and turn this one out double-time. Nonetheless, in 26-minutes, we touched on all the regulars, whilst scattering the silence in between with the usual sniping between the pair of us. It makes you wonder what we waste the other twenty minutes on every week.

Not to worry. Enjoy what you can of this little taster and look ahead to next week’s full-fat return, when we’re planning a new feature and a new voice.

      Entirely up to you but I would have Punch either first sub or in the starting line up. I'm not sure about Sterling's gametime and Punch is absolutely flying

      Fact is he isn't and never will be a striker, its a bit like playing Phil Jones in midfield. Pay for specialists in their position imo.

        Agree with all above...he's not a natural striker and tends to blast at goal rather than instinctively place it as a striker would. But he hit the post, had 1 cleared off the line and 2 or 3 more he blasted in the general line of the keeper.
        Arsenal really hammered them in the 2nd half...so i have some hope for them to do well fpl wise this wk

    So, it looks like Pod and Gibbs will both double rise (tonight and either Friday or Saturday night). The .2 profit would be handy, do I risk it and make the transfers now?

      Not worth it if the games are all off .....unless you want them both for the west ham game next week.

      Remember the pitches may be fine but games will be called off due safety of roads outside the stadiums

        Well the snow will arrive in London around 12 ish midday Friday giving the stadium managers plenty of time to (IMO):

        a) Clear snow.
        b) Grit what is needed.
        c) Ensure key transport connections are in perfect working order.

        Can't believe all this weather talk when the EPL is MULTI BILLION £ industry.

      The LOL takes the top few scorers in each league I think so it has nothing to do with the average. More people in the free league and probably just about everyone in the members league is in it anyway.

    Sturridge and Suarez. A or B?

    A. Suarez’s points will drop a bit cos he’s sharing them with Sturridge who could be decent but a bit greedy.

    B. Sturridge will deliver at last on his potential class, become a great team player and himself and Suarez will become a modern day Tosh and Keegan. Suarez's points will then increase as Robinho suggested.

      Irish.. but doesn't really take away from the point.
      Not panning all footballers, because a lot of them are honest, hardworking professionals.
      But in modern times the game has become littered with brats who don't deserve to be where they are in the game because of their awful attitudes and their sense of self entitlement.

      The GAA is just a completely different landscape. Ameteurs who act more like professionals than professional footballers do, one or two cases aside.

        Absolutely. We'll have the usual whinge around August Bank Holiday when the old "Oh sure the leinster champions haven't had a game in 5 weeks and they're playing the backdoor team who won 3 weeks in a row" but it's a great organisation from the President down through the county players to the mammy driving her kids to training.

        Shame that if you go to Spain the bullfighting is a massive tourist attaraction but Irish Tourism can't be creative and give a few cut price tickets to tourists for games that aren't sell outs.

    I have Noble and i know that a "75% chance of playing" on the FPL normally means about 40%..............i have 1.1 in bank and another transfer would cost me 4......................my head says leave him in - Berba 1st sub..................

    ok lads, so one guy is ML is trying to play mind games with me by saying he's cut my lead on him to 80 points as if it's gonna freak me out. He has no wc I have 2.
