The ScoutCast – Episode Ninety Six – Changes

As we close on a century of episodes it was time to freshen things up and bring new voices to accompany my drone and that of grumpy Granville. In this weeks’ episode, we draft in both “Professor” Chris Atkinson and his “Rate My Team” computer, plus long-time community member and contributor, Jonty, for a new ScoutCast regular.

Don’t worry, the usual format remains intact although, having recorded this just minutes after last night’s whistles, Granville escapes the usual mini-league grilling. Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of “Granny’s miffed” to endure, plus “All Aboard” and the weekend preview. That’s’ rounded off by the “Full Jonty” a brand new feature that will bring you, the community, into our weekly ramblings.

Why is everyone going crazy over Swansea defenders, even if there's a double gw coming up? The numbers show they have a below average defence based on shots conceded, shots in the box conceded, and shots on target conceded. The last clean sheet was against Sunderland who have terrible offensive numbers.

    I've covered the last CS. I don't think it matters whether a goal is conceded in the 1st min or extra time. Before the last 2 CS, 5 in 21 games. I guess recent performances count for more. The first CS against Chelsea was impressive.

With four flagged, plus Ba's rotation, what would you do with this team to get four DGWers and still have 11 the following week?

Should I stick to plan; Berba > Studge now, Bale > Gerrard next week and 2FT after DGW (but hope Collins or Gibbs are fit by then)
Or use two now to be sure of fielding 11 this GW (but then have to either go without Gerrard or take a hit)

  Guthrie get mentioned in these pages more often than he deserved.... frankly, if you buy a 4.1 mid, it's probably to bench him most of the time... hence whether he plays 60 minutes or less is a bit irrelevant

    Where Sturridge is playing week in, week out, upfront, not cuptied and his returns have been very good for that price.

  i'm probably having both for the DGW, and i'm still open to A or B. Suarez is a better player but Fatasy-wise, i think both are going to get equal share of points right util the end of season due to Studge playing centrally and Suarez being more explosive but playing wider.

      I'f you really need the funds then go for Bunn. You're quite safe till early April when Ruddy returns. Plus you'll want to play Mignolet most weeks.
      
      If you can afford to spend the 0.3, id say get Fed.
