Better late than never, our ninety seventh episode of the ScoutCast delivers another 45 minutes of mirth, plus injury time.

With the Professor otherwise engaged, it’s left to Jonty to provide backup to myself and Granville, arriving to deliver another “Fully Jonty” – the first to feature a community victim.

Doosra’s Fantasy fortunes come under the microscope, revealing a penchant for bandwagons and knee jerk transfers. Nevertheless, we try to go easy on the experienced campaigner, rounding things off with the extraordinary tale of the Doosra rescuing Jonty’s dog. True story.

That treat rounds off an episode that includes all the usual regulars, including our rinse through the forthcoming double Gameweek which Granville insists on placing within inverted commas: the weirdo.

    How many points do you think following your instinct without fail can be worth in a season?

    I am going to stick my neck out and say anywhere between 150-200 points..

      Agree with those numbers. And by instinct, it doesn't mean some random name you think of as a punt. Its always my 'first' thought after i see a game/highlights.

    Wow my team value has risen to £109.4m with £0.7m in the bank it £110.1m in total that is a nice advantage over the guys in my mini league and a nice stick to beat them with in the run in should be all important in defending my lead in my mini league

    LR, new idea. we do it by nations but we have some sort of a qualifying thing so that by gw 31 there's only one pair representing each nation. would make it more fun imo and people would be cheering each other on, etc

        Nah mate I got rid a couple weeks ago, and went for a 3-4-3 with Sturridge, as opposed to Gerrard or Michu in the 3-5-2 that has served me so well recently.

      Demel and Guthrie are unlikely to play. I would assume that Martin and Dawson come with some risk at the back too. You might only have one defender (Harte) who plays gameweek 27

        Front 7 should get you a ton of points this week though. And getting points from defenders is all luck this season, so not 3 starting isn't the worst thing

          Ill take my chances with a total of 6 fixtures between four players, including 4 home for Vorm, Davies, Martin and Dawson.

          Cheers for your optimism about the front 7...I do have concerns that they all play and get returns though....i.e Fellaini, Sturridge both 90's, and Walcott potential blank.

    Ok, so assuming we go ahead with the nations theme(which everyone wants), everyone has to come up with a Team Name which isn't India/Australia etc. Its got to be centric to your country. So lets say there is an American team, their team name is Wild Wild West. So in pressers/commentary, we can have say the 'American team Wild Wild West' etc.
    Also now for those that can't find a team partner from the second country, find someone else from another country and have a fusion name. I don't know, maybe something like 'English Chutney' (England + India) or a United nations of country A + B. So that pretty much sorts everything out. Your team name CANNOT be India or Australia but has to be something centric to your country. Also maybe everyone has to have an introduction of maybe 2-3 lines (we'll probably send out a form) of what your team stands for that we can put up on the council site.
