I keep hearing journalists saying this season will be a low points score to stay up in 17th... Am I the only one who disagrees with this? I can see wigan having their customary good run, southampton are playing well, villa and necastle could easily put some results together. When these teams face safe mid table teams at the end of the season they will be trying so much harder, too.

I put money on them staying up when they were rock bottom and big odds on favs to go down!

Thoughts on rotated players and opportunity cost.
Consider 2 players : A plays every week and has 100 FPL points. B play 2/3 GWs and has 80 FPL points. Which do you choose for your team? Most owners will take A. However, one needs to consider the true value of B, which is the 80 points PLUS whatever the automatic sub scores in the 1/3 GWs when B doesn't play. It's likely B is the more valuable player.
Thoughts?Open ControlsI guess it depends largely on if B is coming into favour and as such likely to get regular starts in the future, and if he comes on for 1 point cameos when he's benched. (I'd prefer he gets 0 and lets a sub come on for me)

When you guys ask for help/ discuss about your team, transfers, etc, what do you consider the cut-off rank for actually including someone's opinion in your final decision?
For me it is under 50k, with the exception of having a proven history of good FPL seasons (i.e. TM this season), and Doos (who's actually logical and backs it up with facts/stats)
Lets be honest, if someone ranked 700k gives input, I value it very differently from someone who is consistently in the top 10k year after year.

Get rid of 2 players that definitely won't play next GW and replace them with 2 players that you want to keep long-term. I am going to take a 4 point hit to get Bale, Evans and Turner if that helps

Imo the current malaise in the epl is more down to clubs trying to adjust to ffp. it is not that long ago that any of the top 4 in the epl would have a chance of winning champs league (even Liverpool) and i think there was even one year there was 3 epl teams in the semi. the epl will be back on top once the top teams have their houses in order. the ffp rules were always going to hurt the epl more than other leagues imo and it was obvious German league was in the best place to benefit.Open ControlsAre you trying to suggest that the big clubs in the PL have cut their spending to live with ffp and as a result of this they are no longer a force in Europe?
