Double Gameweeks Confirmed

As some of you may have noticed, the Premier League has this afternoon rolled out dates for some of the fixtures that were cancelled from the Gameweek 29 schedule last weekend. Fantasy managers now have time to take in the impending double Gameweeks as a result of the newly-arranged matches:

West Ham’s home clash with Man United will now take place on Wednesday April 17, or Gameweek 33 to you and I. Essentially, the Hammers definitely have a double and will travel to Southampton before hosting United. If Sir Alex Ferguson’s side win their FA Cup Sixth Round replay with Chelsea, however, they will need to play the Semi-Final that weekend – this will see their league trip to Stoke cancelled. If they lose at Stamford Bridge, they will also have a DGW33.

Man City’s home match with Wigan has been moved to the same evening. As both clubs play in the Semi Finals of the Gameweek 33 weekend, however, they will only have a single match that Gameweek.

City’s home game with West Brom, initially scheduled for last weekend, has yet to be given a new date, the club have confirmed. Wigan’s home game with Swansea, initially set for Gameweek 33, has been moved to Gameweek 36, giving both clubs a double that week. The Latics also have a trip to West Brom, while Swansea entertain City. Bottom line here is both Swansea and West Brom are without a Gameweek 33 fixture.

Chelsea’s replay with United has now been moved to Monday April 1. With a league game against Southampton taking place a couple of days earlier, though, it’s clear rest and rotation looks set to play a significant part for the Blues – even more so if they overcome Steaua Bucharest in tomorrow evening’s Europa League cup match. At present, their trip to Fulham, which was initially scheduled for Gameweek 29, has yet to be given a new date.

There’s still a lot up in the air, then, and plenty of ifs and buts still to consider, mainly depending on the Chelsea-United cup match.

What we know for certain is that Everton, Arsenal and West Ham have doubles in Gameweek 33, Swansea and West Brom have blanks in Gameweek 33, while Swansea and Wigan have doubles in Gameweek 36.

So essentially it's only Chelsea that doesn't have a fixture update yet. Everything hinges on their EL 2nd leg.

    GO STEAUA!!!

      Wrong!
      Confirmed is:

      DGW33~Everton, Arsenal, West Ham

      Blank GW33~West Brom, Swansea

      DGW36~Wigan, Swansea

Some fixtures depend upon FA Cup replay.
If Chelsea Wins~United DGW ,Spurs Blank & Chelsea-Fulham Single Gameweek.
If United Wins~Chelsea & Fulham DGW & Stoke Blank Gameweek.

      {This is because even if Chelsea progresses in Europa, they wont have commitments for midweek in GW33}

No need to snap at him, as far as I can see what you suggested IS wrong.

As far as I can tell, Chelsea, Fulham, City and West Brom all have a double as yet unconfirmed, and Man Utd still very much ubject to change.

I would have considered Wigan for a couple of players, had their DGW not come between their two worst fixtures for the rest of the season.

If there are any Scouts about.

Can you tell me if the current list of set piece takers is accurate as you see it?

I see last update was 8/12 and wondered if the transfer window and squad/manager changes had made any differences?

    Thanks a lot.

So I'm thinking about a 12 point hit, and I honestly think there is a good chance it will pay off, or at least pretty much break even:

    Sturridge > RVP
    Sess > Puncheon
    Demel > Jose Enrique
    Begovic > De Gea

Two very good chances at a clean sheet, JE with good attacking potential, and of course RVP. I know you can say you shouldn't take hits for defenders, but I'm really tempted.

If you take an 8 point hit for Enrique/DDG, and they both get CS, then you break even. Is it worth it?

Yeah, I already have the funds for RVP, so maybe I'll just leave that, I'm just so tired of Begovic and Demel, but not work losing points over, especially since Bunn has a decent fixture I can play him for. Thanks for talking sense!

But there are teams with blanks in 33. using in 36 allows you to get 9-11 DGWers (I'll be keeping Bale I think) and get 4 subs with nice fixtures the last 2 weeks and no blanks to worry about

I have 1 FT, my wildcard (which I'm hoping to use for DGWs), and 1.9 in the bank.

Save my transfer this week with this team?

    Begovic (Jusi)
    Basson, Davies, Johnson, (Harte, Demel)
    Walcott, Bale, Michu, Sess (Punch)
    RVP, Suarez, Lambert

Thinking about getting out Punch for Sissoko, or try to scrape funds to get Cazorla in as well, but maybe thinking just hold this week and see..

I'd be happy to part with Suarez GW36 as it's the Merseyside derby (though I may keep) but Bale is at home to Saints, ain't no way I'm selling him with that fixture, DGW or not.

Ok, so here are my proposed transfers for the week.

    Mata ➡ Maloney

    +

    Sturridge ➡ RVP (-4)

Or I could just save a TF and do it next week instead?

I'd follow anybody right now, so much DGW confusion - if someone just told me what to do I'd have someone to blame if it all goes wrong 🙂

Where does this 4-5 DGW 36 come from, when Chelsea vs Fulham & City vs WBA haven't yet been set?

The only DGW36 I'm seeing is for Swansea and Wigan
