A good development feature for this site, would be the ability to create polls e.g. Baines or Coleman which could then sit on the side bar, much like the Captains poll for example Linked In has one in it's side bar, with one of 1000's of polls showing, when you vote on one it takes you to the polls page and you can vote on as many as you like.

I like this idea. I prefer proper conversations about FPL as opposed to the A or B posts.

Might free it up a bit alright but for people like me it's the reasons I want not just simply A or B. I want to know why they chose one over the other.

      What benefit would this be?

It would only show peoples personal preference or budget constraints. It wouldn't actually add anything to the discussions which will still take place in the forum.

Do you ever look at teh Captains poll, it's jsut like that. There are hundreds of posts that are simply Baines or Coleman, Kos or Merte, Silva or Yaya etc etc etc. So that would give people who jsut want an a b or c answer what they are lookign for. Before the Captains poll existed there were 1000's of who to captain posts which have disappeared but there are still discussions about the right captain.

I think Ade has better fixtures going forward than the rest of them. I'll be getting him in before Feb and ditching for GW30. Giroud has a truly horrible run but then again he does play with Arsenal so you'd still expect them to score

    posted this last night

With Walcott injured, Giroud knackered, Arteta injured and CL/FA cup leading to more injuries/fatigue, Arsene will surely bring in a forward. I think it will be 1) out and out striker 2) winger who can play up front 3) maybe even both of the above What do you think and how will this affect Ramsey? especially for those holding a midfield spot for him

Managers always seem to say how difficult it is to bring in top players in January, especially strikers. The only top player available in England is Mata, so I think it would have to be a player in a similar position abroad to come over for it to be a threat to Ramsey.

I can't see a forward being brought in - Wenger will want to give Sanogo/Park their bench roles as and when they are fit or deserve it. Podolski has been lauded recently by Wenger as a great finisher and Bendtner has been getting minutes. The Draxler rumour is the most exciting for me - if he comes in who misses out? Can't rotate forever

Sturridge to Giroud to give you Arsenal cover this week... and Whittaker/Chester can come in as sub if Ramsey's unavailable, both of which have a decent chance of a clean sheet

To be honest i dont think tottenham will get much out of that game. Swansea are a team who have large chunks of possession at home. That first half vs Manu just showed how they can play a team out of a game. They've played ok but have had bad results. Tottenham on the other hand have had good results but have played pretty average. That first half vs Palace was disgraceful for a team playing at home. Playing a 4-4-2 they tend to lose possession far too often and find it difficult to regain it. I can see them struggling with adebayor dropping deeper to help out in midfield. They've had an easy run and i have a feeling they'll be found out over the next couple of fixtures. Even the spurs fans on their forums are not convinced about their performances

Does anyone else think its very stupid for a manager ie. Moyes to be seen at a game scouting players? He was at the Juventus looking at only he knows. But as he was seen it gives all the crap red top papers ammo to make up bull like " pogba snubs 50m utd offer" courtesy of the Irish Daily star thus putting more pressure on utd when they don't sign these player's that they probably did not even bid for?

Moyes won't have gone there without having studied numerous scouting reports.

It's good for the image too. Gives the impression that Moyes/MUN are possibly looking to spend.

And indicates to the current MUN players that they need to start performing.

I can understand if a manger of a big club does this to players of a smaller club as it could unsettle the player but in this case I don't think it's done Moyes any favours unless he knows the player(s) he wants are interested in coming to United

My first RMWCT post of the season, so please be gentle with me. Was planning on waiting until GW24 to WC, but am now worried about price rises.

    Current team:

    McGregor
    Coleman / Koscielny / Shaw
    Hazard / Cabaye / Özil / Mirallas
    Suárez / Sturridge / Negredo

    Speroni / Chester / Kim Bo-Kyung / Burner

    WC team:

    Boruc
    Coleman / Koscielny / Clyne
    Hazard / Ramsey / Lallana / Silva
    Suárez / Giroud / Agüero

    McGregor / Chester / Kim Bo-Kyung / McCartney

    Do it? Or not?

I have a similar team (don't we all) and am asking myself the same question. Do as I say not as I do... so FT out Cabaye for Lallana, get yourself a little rise to think on it and wait until Aguero has cleared the Blackburn game before doing anything

I would hold. Your team looks strong. Only player I would be eager to ship out is Burner, and his your 3rd substitute. Most of your players are those that people bring in with their wildcard.

I would probably just do Burner -> Parr/Ward and play him and Speroni.

I was wondering if 3 big defenders with 2 cheapies at the back is the way forward, or 2 biggies with 3 cheap ones.

My TV is horribly low, 103.5 SV.

Here's my draft with 3 biggies at the back.

    Boruc/Davies

    Baines TERRY Koscielny Chester Ward

    Hazard Lallana Ramsey ERIKSEN MUTCH

    Sturridge Suarez Aguero

My draft with 2 big ones at the back:

    Boruc/Davies

    Baines BROWN Koscielny Chester Ward

    Hazard Lallana Ramsey KI JANUZAJ

    Sturridge Suarez Aguero

So, its basically Terry, Ki, Januzaj vs Brown, Eriksen and Mutch.

The latter has better PPG, the difference being 1.32.

If you factor in Eriksen's PPG under Sherwood, its quite high, but the sample size is very small, and it wouldn't be fair to include those.

It might not be that helpful, but anyway, I thought of sharing it with you all. I know the results will be different for everyone with TV and choices being different..

Well the difference between PPG of Eriksen-Mutch-Brown over Terry-Ki-Januzaj is over 1.3. That's almost 25 points from now until the season, and the form of Eriksen and Brown look to be going up, Sunderland looking better and Eriksen involved so much..

    Marshall (Mannone)
    Mertesacker, Coleman, Clyne, Ward, Chester
    Hazard, Silva, Ramsey, Lallana, Colback

Just thought I'd come on here to express my disappointment about rumours surrounding Southampton football club today. It appears that Katharina Liebherr, who inherited the club after her father's death, has a strained relationship with our chairman Cortese and apparently the relationship has finally hit the point of no return. A severance package is being drawn up for him. That means Pochettino will probably follow him out of the door, as he promised to do out of loyalty last time Cortese's future was discussed, and it'll all come tumbling down. Further rumours suggest that KL may want to cash in on selling the club and, considering what little involvement she's had with the club, I can't see her being that picky if she thinks she's been offered a fair price.

All a rumour at the moment but the precise nature of the details doesn't fill me with hope.

Those Saints players we all have may not be such a sound investment in a couple of weeks time.

      If true, that's a disaster, Lucible 🙁

I can understand if KL doesn't want to continue but why dismiss a wildly successful chairman out of personal spite if she wants to sell on anyway? I hope for the fans' sake that she can be persuaded that the club is worth more to sell with Cortese and Pochettino in place.

I remember when Southampton was a small successful public company that returned dividends, small profits and retained it's top league status. All whilst being at the Dell.

There have been sad and devious goings on there since. I feel for you and all Saints fans Lucible.

Bah, Negredo's NTI is starting to fall. Was hoping I could get a price rise out of him before the deadline but it looks like Aguero will easily rise before him.

Listing in today's NTI order on TotalFPL, how on earth can Aguero be on about 4.5k in when there is only about 300 negative NTI players? Surely it should all be about the same....?

The NTI includes both in and out though. There will still be people buying Negredo, just more are selling him. So the total of -NTI players isn't the total number of players sold.

As you say, it's about the NET impact, hence the N in NTI.
