KPI Midfield Analysis

The last few Gameweeks have seen a number of midfielders stepping up in performance and offering us alternatives to the template picks. As Fantasy managers reassess their options and roll out the winter wildcards, we thought we’d turn to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in the members section in order to assess their current form:

We’ve hand-picked a number of midfielders across the price brackets for this article. Those whose displays have hogged the headlines in recent matches are joined by the popular Fantasy options as we compare their KPI statistics from the last six Gameweeks to the first 16 league matches of the season. For those members unfamiliar with the KPI stats, as previously explained, they focus on the frequency of key stats or events in order to track player form.

  Played three at the back last week but conceded an awful lot of chances to Norwich..they got lucky just conceding the one goal. Not sure how they'll line up next week but that can't carry on.

I think Moyes would ease Mata in over a couple of games as he

(1) Won't want to be seen to be panicking
(b) Won't want to force an injury on their investment while building up Mata match fitness

  Terry to Azpi is a massive downgrade in terms of attacking potentially.But if you are satisfied with just CS points and maybe few odd BAPS here and there then Azpi is the man for you. He is pretty much nailed on unless Chelsea buy a new LB. But he might get rested before CL games. I wouldn't worry if you have a good bench

What position will Mata play at United? He is not a winger nor a Central Midfielder and Rooney currently takes up the role behind the striker. As a fantasy asset we may have seen the best of him at Chelsea.

      With Carrick out Rooney or Mata might have to play CM. It's hard to say where Moyes will play them, it's a strange player to buy, and I can't see Moyes being particularly tactical about it.

      Everybody seems to be forgetting that he was originally a winger. He played in the LW for Valencia. Played on the wings when he came to Chelsea.Then later played in the hole.
