The ScoutCast – Episode 124 – Fizz

There’s very little fizzing away within Granville’s Fantasy lineup right now but, while the Mancunian can justifiable lament his stagnant squad, I’m having to console myself with the smallest of victories – namely a sniveling 9-point Gameweek victory. Get some perspective, Granville.

That’s not the reasoning behind this weeks moniker, however, as once again it’s the questions from the community that inspires the title of another ScoutCast episode. Rounding off with the usual interrogation from you, the listener, we start by dropping in on the regulars, whilst reviewing the ins and outs of the transfer window and touching on the Carroll’s flailing arm and Chelsea’s shackling of City.

      Well Pogba & Ravel were the ones who could be in the new class of '92. United still have some players who could still step up though Lingard, Petrucci, & the Keane bros. Janujaz given he's already on the first team.

Here's a puzzler. GW29 fixtures are up in the air but we know that there will be no more than 6 PL in the QF's. That means at least 4 fixtures will play that weekend. We know WBA v ManU and Nor v Stoke are on. We also know that either Chelsea or City game will go ahead. Where is the 4th game?

      It gets very difficult to make consistent progress above about 3,000. you go up one week and get hauled back the next.
      The DGWs are the place where the big swings in ranks can come.

I may be ranked just outside the top 10k at the moment but I'm bloody terrified of the chasing pack. The January wildcard has given everyone the opportunity of a fresh start, its almost like the lottery of GW1 all over again. There will be some big shifts in rank for a lot of people over the coming weeks.

Something for people thinking of bringing in RVP or Mata (or Arsenal players or other Man U players) today; From BBC: "Talks to avert another strike 19:59:

Londoners have seen hours added to their daily commutes, with many having to rely on buses and bikes as a 48-hour Tube strike paralysed the network from 21:00 GMT on Tuesday.

The RMT and TSSA unions will be meeting London Underground bosses tomorrow (today, story from yesterday) to discuss the dispute over plans to close all Tube ticket offices and cut jobs.

If the talks fail, Tube staff will walk out again for 48 hours from 11 February."

My take on this is Arsenal WILL delay the game with Man United on 12 Feb if these strikes go ahead, Arsenal have precedent of doing this for home fixtures and it also would be convenient for Arsenal to break up their difficult run and play Man United later.

  I would take the risk and captain Mata. This is one of the very rare occasion whereby Suarez is not leading the captain poll. Some people might argue that The Rat could be the real differential this week but I can't him outscoring the likes of RVP, Mata or Hazard.

  Have a similar dilemma myself, Triggerlips. Deciding whether to stick with Bony, or shift him with the FT for Dzeko

  It's either 3 or 6 for me.
  
  I like the upside that Dzeko could deliver over the next 3 for minimal cost, however Bony could do well this GW and Dzeko may only get limited minutes. It is an explosive punt.
  If you got RVP or Rooney I am not sure you'd want them (that cash) on your bench come GW 28.

Capt Suarez for me.

He about the only player you can guarantee will start and get 90 highly motivated minutes from

1) RVP likely to be ulled off at some stage with Arsenal away three days later
2) r Mata , he hasnt reallyhad any attacking returns yet
3) Hazard been my lowest scoring mid last two weeks
4) Rooney genuine contender , and less likely to play deep against fulham
5) Various others who will no doubt draw a blank as soon as you give them armband

      Friest statement is true..but rest?..naa.. he will play. Stats may be poor but he has been absolutely brilliant lately..could have easily pulled of a couple of assists imn the last to matches.... Most noticeable ones are Etoo sitter vs Wham and the one that went off the post vs City.

I see a lot of people are feeling confident to (c) Hazard. I had that feeling in GW23, and I did it, even Suarez was destined to score big in the Merseyside derby.

And then Big Sam "out-tactic-ed" Mour. The rest is history.
