Is there really room for emotion and sentiment in Fantasy Football management? This week’s episode questions whether the detached, cold and almost robotic approach is the way to go. Of course, Granville and I already know the answer, leaving us to curse our sensitive sides. Ironically, this realisation comes after a weekend when, not for the first time, Aleks Kolarov almost reduced me to tears.

The pair of us manage to restore a stiff upper lip long enough to rinse through further double Gameweek debate, chew the fat over the belated Luis Suarez assist and take on another selection of posers from you, the listener. There’s “all aboard” the weekend preview and the latest in my battle with the ScoutCast XI. It’s beating me again. Without a player from the top four. Is it any wonder I’m an emotional wreck?

        Or he could double up on Chelsea and if the transfer arises where you need to get in someone and are lacking funds, he could always sell Baines to free up LOADS of cash, and be left with Coleman and 2 of the best clean-sheet-getters in the game.

            I was thinking something along those lines might be good. Decide if you want to keep Baines or Coleman over the next few week. Having both til the end of the season may be overkill. Then bring a Chelsea def in.

      As a united fan myself, I dont think it matters. I cant see us getting through no matter who we play. A solid performance over two legs, with no embarrassments would be acceptable to the fans. We know we're not anywhere near Europe's elite this season, just thankful to in the quarters to be honest.

      I hope they get Bayern, would be murder, I want Cheslea and Mourinho to get Barcelona, for old time sake, see Barca toy with his dreams again.

      Dortmund look a level below their previous high standards, you could argue they're under performing.

        A lot of competition for his place. Nani fit now and Welbeck used there recently. The fact we beat Olympiakos in the most important game of the season and he wasn't involved. Moyes saying Kagawa will get more game time e.t.c. Lots of factors that put his place in doubt. Certainly can't see him playing both.

      I think for his price you may as well play him. Wouldn't get rid for a hit. I am however probably going to shift Mata for a hit, cos of his points per £m are gash.

      They'd have to draw Chelsea or Dortmund imo, and then in the semi's still avoid madrid or bayern, and then hope for an absolute miracle in the final.

      The year chelsea won it, there were no teams playing at the same level as madrid or bayern are now.

      United stand no chance. At least Chelsea could defend and had Drogba in his prime.
