Is there really room for emotion and sentiment in Fantasy Football management? This week’s episode questions whether the detached, cold and almost robotic approach is the way to go. Of course, Granville and I already know the answer, leaving us to curse our sensitive sides. Ironically, this realisation comes after a weekend when, not for the first time, Aleks Kolarov almost reduced me to tears.

The pair of us manage to restore a stiff upper lip long enough to rinse through further double Gameweek debate, chew the fat over the belated Luis Suarez assist and take on another selection of posers from you, the listener. There’s “all aboard” the weekend preview and the latest in my battle with the ScoutCast XI. It’s beating me again. Without a player from the top four. Is it any wonder I’m an emotional wreck?

    About to hit the button folks before i leave the country, but should I ??
    Sterling, Snodgrass and RvP out for Silva, Nolan and Sturridge(c)

    It will cost -4 and will leave me with 10 dgw players.
    Any advice on other players instead appreciated My team at the minute tho is

    What is possibility that Rogers switches to 4-3-3 for the lesser teams DGW and sterling plays up front agian. Could be very possible.

        That's what happened for Fulham away and Swansea home (the two games before Southampton and United when he switched to the diamond).

        It was the system that was harvesting the big scores and they'll be keen to catch up to City's GD, given how tight it is for the top four spots.

        Why do you say it's a non-starter?

          I think Rodgers realises they can't win the matches to come against good teams without being tighter at the back. He feels he has the balance right with the diamond system.

              My worry is that despite scoring lots, you only just won those games playing 4-3-3. Could easily have lost them. Rodgers might decide he doesn't want to risk it again.

              What do you think will happen? It's obviously vitally important for the captaincy decision. Who are you plumping for?

                  Nice one. That's the way I feel but things are much tighter for me in cash terms. I'm only 25 points behind my ML leader and I have a huge TV advantage to grind that lead down with small margins.

      You must have an amzing team value to afford that li'l lot. I like Zabba and Coleman but Evra is overkill. A Wham defender makes sense.

      I'd do -8 for Mannone and Nolan.

      Spurs have some defensive injuries, and if theyre continuing with their high line as performed v Arsenal, could concede v any team. Southampton are good.

      Norwich arent exactly freescoring, and i expect a low scoring game v Sunlun. Id go Rodriguez

      (As per convo above) It boils down to whether they play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2

      Recently, against 'easy' opposition they've gone 4-3-3 and Sturridge benefited hugely, being a magnet for big chances created by Suarez and Sterling. Only used 4-4-2 against tough teams, but Suarez got more central and showed his class.

      But they conceded loads in those 4-3-3 games and Rodgers might not want to risk it again.

          My gut told me not to bring in Lukaku last week but I did it and he blanked. My gut is telling me it's Sturridge's turn again and I think I'm going to listen.
