Double Gameweeks 34 and 37 Announced

The Premier League have announced a number of rearranged fixtures this afternoon, affording Fantasy managers plenty of time to now plan and prepare around the upcoming double Gameweeks 34 and 37.

Gameweek 34

The following fixtures were previously postponed due to domestic cup matches but have now been added:

Tuesday, April 19 – Newcastle vs Man City

Wednesday, April 20 – Liverpool vs Everton, Man United vs Crystal Palace, West Ham vs Watford,

Thursday, April 21 – Arsenal vs West Brom.

Gameweek 37

The following fixtures were previously postponed due to domestic cup matches but have now been added:

Tuesday, May 10 – West Ham vs Man United

Wednesday, May 11 – Liverpool vs Chelsea, Norwich vs Watford, Sunderland vs Everton.

Schedule Re-cap

Long story short, then, five teams – Liverpool, Watford, Everton, West Ham and Man United – have doubles in Gameweek 34 and 37.

United, West Ham, Everton, Palace, Norwich and Watford have no fixture in Gameweek 35, however, due to the FA Cup schedule.

Arsenal, West Brom, Newcastle, Man City and Crystal Palace have one double apiece, in Gameweek 34.

Chelsea, Sunderland and Norwich have one double apiece, in Gameweek 37.

This leaves Everton’s clash with Palace, which was originally pencilled in for Gameweek 35, as the only fixture yet to be rearranged. This is due to the fact that the pair go head-to-head in the FA Cup semi-finals that weekend.

We’ll go into much more detail in future articles but here’s a quick check on what today’s announcement means..

Man City’s trip to Newcastle in Gameweek 34 is preceded by a trip to Chelsea that weekend but the surrounding fixtures are due to promote big investment, with a favourable (WBA, che &new, STO) run between Gameweek 33 and 35.

Newcastle, meanwhile, also host Swansea at St James in Gameweek 34, with a home clash against Palace and trip to Villa in their subsequent three.

United are handed a very promising pair of Gameweek 34 fixtures, with back-to-back home encounters against Villa and Palace. The downside, though, is that they face a blank the following week. Their Gameweek 37 double consists of trips to Norwich and West Ham.

Liverpool look ripe for investment as we prepare for our wildcards, with their schedule from Gameweek 33 onwards (STO, bou & EVE, NEW, swa, WAT & CHE, wba) looking very promising.

In addition to their two doubles and yet-to-be-schedule clash with Palace, Everton also host Southampton, Bournemouth and Norwich in the final five Gameweeks.

Arsenal, meanwhile, play twice at the Emirates in Gameweek 34, as Palace and West Brom pay visit. The Baggies precede their trip to north London with a home match against Watford.

Palace’s double in Gameweek 34 (ars, mun) will struggle to persuade many suitors, though that game in hand against Everton could come in handy further down the line.

West Ham’s trip to Leicester in Gameweek 34 has now been softened by a home encounter with Watford in the same round of fixtures. Like United, they then blank the following week but a pair of home matches in Gameweek 37 (SWA, MUN) is bound to see significant investment, bearing in mind that these are the Hammers’ final two matches at Upton Park before moving ground in the summer.

Watford hit the road in all four of their double fixtures – Gameweek 34 (wba, whu), Gameweek 37 (liv, nor) – and also blank in Gameweek 35. Chelsea also play twice in their double Gameweek 37, making their way to Sunderland and Liverpool.

Elsewhere in Gameweek 37, relegation candidates Norwich (MUN, WAT) and Sunderland (CHE, EVE) are both handed home matches that look vital to their survival hopes.

*We’ll be updating our fixture ticker later today in light of the news and roll out Scouting the Doubles articles nearer the time.

Looks like most people will be ditching some or all of their three Leicester players.

I'll likely keep him, but with other players having 2 DGWs, and only 6 weeks left after the WC, it's not imperative to keep Mahrez.

I might just WC on GW36 because of this. If I get rid of one early, it'll be Vardy.

    Butland, (Henessesy)
    Toby, Huth, VVD (Bellerin, Richards)
    Siggy,ArnieMahrez, Alli (Ozil).
    Kane, Aguero, Vardy

Currently 55 points behind in ML and 50 behind second

    First: triple captain only left
    Second: TC and WC left
Me: BB, TC and WC left

I suspect they will TC in GW34 as more choice and probably Aguero or ozil

What's my best bet? I'm thinking WC GW33 and then BB gw34 with 15 double GW-ers with two FTs for gw35 And bench the likes of Payet and lukaku then triple captain in gw37, possibly Payet

You guys will be able to make much better teams, my team value/selling value really is awful.

6 blanks in GW35 - Gomes, De Gea, Rojo, Antonio, Payet, Martial.

Save a FT in GW34 and sub out 2 in 35. Bench the other 4. Easy 🙂

How is this for a DGW34 team. No wildcard, just using FT to get 11 with no hit

    DDG
    Kompany, Gabriel, Dann
    Silva, Ozil, FIrmino, Payet
    Kun, Lukaku, Martial

    Elliot, Mahrez, WIlliams, Simpson

Is it worth prempting the DGW and using wildcard in GW32?

Take advantage of the two week international break too.

Here's a early work in progress for Benchboost for GW34.

    Adrian XXX
Belerin Clyne janmat, funes mori, XXX
    Sanchez Firmino Ozil Payet Lennon
    Aguero Lukaku Mitrovic

The main point of wcing in an international break is to boost team value, which isn't much of an issue at this point in the season (or this season in general since the best player was 5.5 at the start of the year).

    Done 🙂

    Robles Elliot
    Kompany Bellerin Skrtel Dawson Rojo
    Ozil Firmino Payet Milner Lingard
    Kun Lukaku Martial

No clue how I'll get through GW35 yet, but won't mind planning a couple hits.

I can get KDB or Sanchez over Milner, but it makes the defence so much weaker

Feel free to copy (or not)

    DDG Robles

    Kompany, Kos, Smalling/Rojo, Dawson, Sakho

    Ozil, Payet, Firmino, Milner, Lingard

    Kun, Lukaku, Rondon

5 blanks in 35, so you could use 2 FTs to swap Robles/DDG and Smalling/Rojo

I hate Rondon being in there but budget DGW strikers who play in 35 are thin on the ground

    Full XI GW35
BB with at least 9 DGWers GW37

I'll get Lingard and either another defender or Martial

Here's a thought, wildcard after DGW 34 rather than before DGW 34!

I've got 6 DGWers currently. 4 free's till DGW 34 puts me at 10 DGWers. 8 point hit to get to 13 DGWers. (Bench Boost + Triple Captain) Wildcard right after to navigate the blank week 35 while simultaneously preparing for DGW 37!

    See if this is correct?

    A = CITY/ARS/WBA/NEW
    B = WAT/WHM/MUN/CPL

So you can wildcard in GW33 with the following:

    3 Liv, 3 Eve, 6A, 3B

    which means:

    15 DGW 34

    9 starters in 35 (3Liv + 6A)

    9 DGW 37 (3Liv + 3Eve + 3B)

So.... Between 34 and 35 you can bring in 2 from Sun/Che to see you all the way through

      now this I like

Everton kind of belong in B since they blank in 35

but you could take Martial out in 35 for say Defoe, and Rojo/Smalling to PvA
