FanDuel Social League Final Results

Our inaugural FanDuel social league champion is Philman, who, thanks to a pair of third-place finishes in the final two rounds, timed his march to the top perfectly.

A fourth found score of 264 points was achieved in part after drafting in Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini, who fired two past Sunderland in a 4-0 victory at the Stadium of Light.

Another canny transfer for our winner was Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who also supplied a brace against Hull City at the Emirates in Saturday’s early kick-off.

With the top three Gameweek scores counting towards the final tally, Philman’s combined score of 790.25 points proved unbeatable.

He wins the top prize of a £50 Amazon voucher and a £50 FanDuel credit.

The second place prize of a £30 Amazon voucher and £30 FanDuel credit goes to jeccross, who had three top 20 finishes, including an eighth placing in the first round. His best three total score of 776 points was not enough to catch Philman.

Gezep takes the third place prize of a £20 Amazon voucher and £20 FanDuel credit. The winner of the fourth place price of a £10 FanDuel credit is Iiiusions , who had been the overall leader since round one but a disastrous final round, where he finished 63rd, resulted in a dip in the overall standings.

If all four Gameweek scores had been counted, Iiiusions’ combined tally of 959 points would have handed him the lead, by 4.5 points over second placed darkish and Philman.

The fifth to tenth place winners of a £5 FanDuel credit are elbow55, darkish, sl8ter, supercool and Allezchef.

The final overall standings are available here.

With weekly prizes also available, gibbo1982 wins a £25 Amazon voucher as the top scoring manager in round four.

As with Philman, he was another to find success with Sanchez, who brought in 65.75 points and was his top scoring player.

Fielding Alfie Mawson, who scored against Leicester City for Paul Clement’s Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, was another shrewd decision.

Joining him in winning a £10 FanDuel credit as one of the round’s top five highest scorers are: Philman, gzep, elbow55 and giizmo.

While our social league is now complete, there are plenty more weekly and daily contests taking place next week for the Gameweek 26 fixtures.

Look out next week for our Weekly Shop article as well as our FanDuel Focus to guide you through your selections.

Congratulations to all our winners – we will hopefully bring you news of the next FanDuel Social League very soon.

Given purchase price I would sell and buy back in 29 if his price starts to rocket or 31 if it stays lower and you can afford to wait until then

I'm also confused. Is there any point waiting if Sanchez is dropping and Hazard is rising tonight?

Burnley won´t lose at home to that team.. They have nothing to play for in the league anymore so they will play their best squad.

If you believe in Arsenal's groundhog day theory, keep Alexis.

We'll fire up for the 2nd leg but not qualify.

We'll win games but never realistically in the title fight.

        which looks better guys -

        A) Holgate and Sanchez - Coleman and Mane - will have to bench Maguire or Defoe this week and play both Baines and Coleman.
        B) Holgate and Stan for Fraser/Carroll and Mawson
        C) Holgate, Stan and Ibra for Coleman, Carroll, and Costa (-4).

I have Philips, Brunt, Maguire, Baines and Lukaku for GW 28 currently (Jaku will come in too before 28).

A or B. I like A but I'm just letting GW28 go, Mawson and Carroll probably worth 4 between them as I think Hull will score that week. I'd bench Baines though and Ibra I'd want back so don't sell him! Play Defoe!

Get Sanchez back on WC around GW31, his fixtures are not great until then

            I made a planning c0ck up
            I don't have Lukaku.
I already have 3 EVE (Coleman, Baines and Davies)

Is it worth a hit to do:

            - Davies > Snodgrass (FT)
            - Kane > Lukaku (-4) (last time I ditched Kane it hurt)

Which still leaves me only fielding 10 for GW26 if Stanislas doesn't play so also

            - Stanislas > Pedro/King (-8)

I would want Lukaku, but you could maybe hold off until next GW and make those transfers for free - Kane has a potentially decent fixture this week

But if Stanislas isn't playing I need to make that transfer this GW. Waiting for press conference to see if there is a clue on Stanislas.

Then maybe Stanislas to Morrison/Tom Carrol (free up funds and GW28 fixture). Then the two changes to get Lukaku in ahead of GW27? Or split them across two weeks to Keep Kane at home to Everton?

I have lost track of all the possibilities of matches being postponed etc. Would really appreciate a look at my current team.

            Jaku (Grant)
            Alonso Coleman Chambers Nyom (Amat)
            Mane Siggy Alli Fletcher (Sanchez)
            Lukaku Carroll (Zlatan)

            0 FT and 1.8 ITB.
I was going to keep both Alexis and Zlatan. What are the pros and cons? How many players will I likely be able to field in GW 28 as of now?

            1. AndyCook
                7 years, 2 months ago

7 will play in GW28 so that looks pretty good. Pros of keeping is Zlatan great captain option against Bournemouth and you will likely want Sanchez back. Cons is that Sanchez fixtures weak until GW31 and money could be used to get others rather than sitting on the bench. Plus prices dropping. You already have some of the good options though, only really worth selling them if you want Costa, Kane or Hazard who all have good fixtures this week

I'd say a generous 8. Not happy to miss a game where one of my big players is playing, but can (just about) function otherwise.

Cup weekends certainly help maintain relationships!

7, doesn't adversely affect my life. Although I'd probably be more productive at weekends without it, and take fewer breaks during the week. Saying that, I'd probably just pick up another interest if I didn't play FPL.

10 but I've been playing 9 years and still haven't read the rules. I don't understand bonus points and dgw's confuse me. Apart from that I take it very seriously. I'll captain my real life rival in a derby and cheer when he scores. There is no room for sentiment in fpl.

I'm going for Snodgrass in 28, he is considerably cheaper than Antonio, and the extra money will help to get the United/Arsenal/City players back in after the blanks. Will probably keep him as a 4th/5th mid for a while.

Snodgrass then Lanzini would be my choice.
Snods on set pieces which could be great especially when Carroll is back. Lanzini just looks quality to me.

Arsenal out to Sutton is definitely on the cards in my opinion. Everything is against them - form, media, expectation, and no disrespect to Sutton, but both the pitch and the dressing rooms won't be what they are used to.

The gulf in class is gigantic though - should be about 8-0 all things being equal. I think if Sutton keep it down to 3 or 4 they'll have done well.

So the bookies says at least.

It's also about the same % chance as there is for all the PL teams going through.

I think there's more chance of an all PL last 8 personally, but Spurs will almost certainly field a reserve team which gives us a glimmer of hope.

This is correct. Slightly below 30% chance that all fixtures are blanks based on adjusted odds from the bookies.

Just ebout even money. Unlike the post a few above the bookies see Leicester as the most vulnerable not Spurs.

Leicester doesn't matter though, as an Arsenal win blanks the fixture anyways.

Ah yes my bad . 1.34 but this is the bookies odds which includes their profit. Take out the 2.5% overound on each game and you end up with 1.34 - 0.15 approx which gives odds of 1/5 roughly or 20%.

Remove the 2.5% from each price and you end up with odds of 1.18 overall. Am I being mathematically dim Jarvish ? My days of doing books at Sheffield dogs are long since gone !

I guess people holding off are doing so in case there's a better option after the weekend (maybe Chelsea mess up and Hazard has a GW28, or same goes for Citeh and KDB). Not on the off chance that a Leicester draw with Milwall *might* postpone a Liverpool game...

Alexis + Phillips to some combination of Mane/Haz + Barkley/Siggy looks so good.

I have currently 8 players for GW28 in my plans, however none in the BOU - WHM game... So it's 3 Everton and 3 West Brom (6 players in the same fixture!!!)... and also I have Siggy against Jakupovic...

Should I diversify it more, have someone from West ham or Bournemouth instead? My plan is to have Coleman&Baines, but would it be better to go for Daniels, for instance, instead? There's not much point in having players merely for the sake of GW28 and to have such "conflicts of interest", as in Siggy vs Jakupovic... Both won't do well at the same time... So what's the point in having them?

What do you anticipate the score will be?

As you point out, no point having both Siggy and Jaku as even a penalty save won't really help you out that much.

Yeah but the decreases the chance of blank also? One of them should get something out of the game?

In week like that, cant really do anything but to take whatever pts you are getting, even if its 1-2pts.

Look at long term, obviously Coleman/Baines are better pick than Daniels, so pick them

If like me your three Everton are Coleman, Baines and Lukaku (c), then it's hard to justify having three WBA that week. I'm considering playing Jak over Foster, and Phillips in the hope that he will get 2 points (it's better than a blank) !.

Jesus making a GW37 come back would be a bit of an inconvenience.

Have Stanislas in my team. Just hope that Fulham will beat Spurs in the FA cup so I can do Jones to Rose and put Stanislas on the bench 🙂

              What are Kane owners doing?
Spurs and Harry in poor form at the moment.
Only positive is that Kane is on penalties.

Team gtg.? Saving the transfer the way to go? gw28 will have 2ft .
              Or ibra/sanchez should go

              Jaku
              Azpi-coleman-pieters-alonso-brunt
              alli-stanislas-phillips
              Costa-defoe

              Bench - heaton,t.carroll, ibra, sanchez,

Ibra hattrick has made me rethink ibra to lukaku
I have no doubt sanchez will explode in PL

Depends how you think Lukaku will do and can Ibra match him possibly with 2 games less over the next 3 weeks.

Personally I think I'm doing Ibra & Sanchez to Hazard & Costa (-4) because I think they have better fixtures and more points in them over the next 5 gameweeks.
