Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Liverpool

Saturday’s opening match has big boots to fill.

After Friday night’s opener provided seven goals, the onus is on Watford and Liverpool to entertain at Vicarage Road.

From a Fantasy perspective, the focus is on the visitors’ attack, with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino strongly backed from Gameweek 1. That trio all boast over 20% ownership, benefitting no doubt from the late fall-out from Philippe Coutinho following the revelation of his transfer request.

The Brazilian misses out through “injury”, while, rather surprisingly, Jurgen Klopp elects to leave James Milner on the bench.

Touted as a potential target ahead of the season kick-off having been classified as a defender, Milner has claimed a 7.5% ownership who will be bitterly disappointed to see their man omitted. Given the absence of Coutinho and Adam Lallana, it is a shock to see him missing from the Liverpool midfield.

Meanwhile, the Reds line-up with two 4.5 options at full-back as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alberto Moreno earn starts. Their progress will be tracked with interest, with Moreno potentially a real option from this point on.

For Watford, their most popular Fantasy asset Etienne Capoue (7.9%) is another left on the timber following speculation of a falling out with head coach Marco Silva.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Takes off TAA and that's what happens. Think TAA has been superb today with his set piece deliveries and at 4.5 a bargain if he can keep his place for a few more weeks.

For everyone wondering about Boga. He was predicted to start on plenty of Cheslea fan forums and there were several reports even yesterday that he would start, especially with the news Morata looks like not ready. Not surprised at all. He was part of Chelsea loan army and after 2 years on loan it was logically after Pedro injury to start. Look this quotes from yesterday reports:

"Antonio Conte is ready to “cope” with a young player, reported to be Jeremie Boga, in the starting lineup for Saturday’s Premier League opener against Burnley. With Alvaro Morata not quite fit enough to start, let alone play out of position, the third forward next to Willian and Michy Batshuayi will be none other than Jeremie Boga, who replaced Pedro during pre-season in similar situations as well.

“This question is not easy. When you speak about pressure with me and I am used to the pressure. For the young players it’s difficult because they are not used to it. They can pay from the pressure.

“It’s difficult to judge young players only from training sessions. There are moments when you have to take risks because you haven’t got other possibilities. You have to cope with the young player."
Conte has been “working on a system that involves Boga” and that’s likely to be the chosen plan come kick-off time."

Cheers all, glad to be serving dear FFS lads here.
