The Technical Area – Spurs’ Wembley Woes

Another Gameweek, another Harry Kane blank.

As covered in Sunday’s Knee Jerk, it wasn’t supposed to be like this, so in this week’s Technical Area we’ll be digging through the rubble of another disappointing weekend at Wembley and dissecting exactly what seems to be ailing Spurs – and in particular their talismanic forward.

Seemed likely with our pursuit of Lemar but the liverpool 'ITKs' are saying Liverpool will sell Coutinho to Barcelona now. Klopp wants him gone and barce appear to be offering over 120mil

*which I'm guessing hinges on Coutinho leaving.

Either way, they should have sealed the deal a long time ago already. They're operating as if it's still 2004, oil money don't care.

If wenger sells Sanchez then he needs to buy at least 3 players ready to go into the starting line up

Rate my WC team please, left 0.9 ITB just incase Kane scores against Everton and I need to upgrade him turning Luk --> Kane

    Fabianski / Elliot
    Cedric / Daniels / Suttner / Mbemba / Naughton
    Mane / Pogba / Richarlison / Alli / Carroll
    Firmino / Lukaku / Morata

    Kane/Kaku/Chica

    Elliot/Chalobah/Lowe/Mbemba

    0.5ITB 1FT

Bottomed, and think this could be a valuable discussion for TV.
If Mark WCed and got Kane out wanting to bring him in GW5, what are your thoughts on using a FT for Kane>Jesus (LIV could be a high scoring match with Jesus OR Aguero getting a lot of pts) and then using the next FT for Jesus>Kane?
The increase in TV would range from 0.1 (worst case scenario) to 0.5 (best case scenario).

You may get injuries for other players/suspensions and will need to use a transfer elsewhere maybe without taking hits. Im on a wildcard and have taken Kane out completely because I'm not getting him back in till he scores 2/3 games in a row.

Possibly yes, but bar injuries I wouldn't want to change anyone. And everyone is pretty much nailed. (the least nailed people are Bavies and Mkhi but are playing superbly and don't see them losing their place for the next two games at least)

      I've done the same thing.

It's a risk making an early transfer during international break of course though.

I did kane to morata (when he was 10m) as I think morata will increase to 10.2 and Kane will drop by 0.2-0.3.

So should have maybe 0.4 ITB when I transfer morata back to kane.

I have Morata since the previous GW, significantly less of a gamble than going Jesus - BUT - you won't want to transfer Morata out. Trust me.

I'm thinking Morata for at least until GW10. If he can give points away from home he will be great for 10m

I think people are going to be disappointed if they think they're going to make a lot of money over the international break.

Everyone just randomly forgets that you need to rise 0.2m to make 0.1m profit. Almost every post is like Kane will drop 0.3m, Morata will rise 0.3m, 0.6m profit. Err...No.

Yep. And, of course, Kane almost certainly won't drop 0.3 before the next gameweek deadline. And Morata is unlikely to rise 0.3 either.

Kane will drop a max of .2 imo. So what he will regain the value the moment the first goal goes in.

Totally going to be a couple of goals for Kane to annoy us owners more - then blank next game.

20 more shots without a goal and the "underlying stats" "veterans" will be creaming themselves

Will stick to plan regardless , lose only droppers I want to lose ie not Kane and buy players I want whether they are rising or not.

    Foster Elliot
    Davies Jones Stephens Mee Hunemeier
    Eriksen Mane Willian Carroll Fraser
    Kane Lukaku Gabbi

Got 0.5 mill in the bank and 1 FT.

    A) fraser->mooy
    B) Kane out and Fraser out for a hit
    Ć) save?
    D) Any other options?

I've heard it all now.... Apparently Swansea are looking to get Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich with the German giants expected to pay some of his wages. Paul Clement is reportedly very keen on the deal especially since his stint as assistant manager at Bayern where he worked with Sanches.

Just a quick heads up, guys. I've seen a lot of @FPLVirg posts on here asking me to comment on Mark's shock Wildcard. My initial thoughts are that he has made a huge tactical error, but I am preparing a proper, in-depth (for the want of a better word) statement and I'll post my full response shortly.
