Scout Notes

Scout Notes – Gameweek 4 – Monday

Slaven Bilic relieves the pressure as he turns to a three-man defence, big Andy Carroll and an emphasis on crosses against a stubborn Huddersfield Town. A fortunate deflection sets them on their way, as the popular Chicharito fails to stem a tide of Fantasy sales.

Chicharito blanks in Carroll return

Owned by an army of 1.4 million Fantasy Premier League managers (27.7%), Chicharito was also burdened with the responsibility of 164,000 captaincy picks.

With Carroll returning to make a first start since April, he was very much playing off the big striker, with the Geordie the focal point of the Hammers attack down the middle.

But Chicharito had his opportunity – a first half effort which clipped the crossbar, one of only two touches in the box he enjoyed all evening.

More worryingly, it was the Mexican rather than the battle-weary Carroll who made way first, hooked on 63 minutes.

Shifted by 164,000 heading in Gameweek 4 and another 50,000 before he even kicked a ball last night, Chicharito’s sales now look likely to pick up pace.

His role could change to living off the knockdowns and scraps if the Hammers look to an aerial threat as a priority.

With Andre Ayew replacing him to score and assist, plus the return of Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini perhaps forcing a change of shape, there could even be mounting concerns on Chicharito’s minutes while Carroll remains available.

Doubts over his prospects come as a blow, given the current dearth of viable forward options around the 7.0 price tag.

Cresswell dominates set plays

While Michail Antonio was the most effective and eye-catching attacker on show at the London Stadium, Fantasy managers should also note the role played by Aaron Cresswell throughout.

Deployed as a wing-back in Slaven Bilic’s 3-4-2-1, Cresswell hogged set-pieces right and left and ended the match with 19 crosses – more than any other player in Gameweek 4.

Of course, this might not continue.

Arnautovic has now served out his ban and will surely be a factor on dead balls in the Gameweek 5 trip to West Brom.

Lanzini will be another protagonist at set-plays, although his return date remains uncertain as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thoughts on this UCL Fantasy team?

    K.Navas - Areola
    Glik - T.Silva - Ghoulam - Lenglet - Jorge
    Pogba - Pulisic - Salvio - B.Fernandes - Golovin
    CR7 - Neymar - Jonas

      Isn't Glik too expensive ?
      Why Pogba ?
Also, I think one City attacker would be useful 😉

Add 0.5 and you may upgrade Jonas to Jesus..

Glik can be Smalling/Lindelof and transferred to playing Juve 5.5 defender for GW2.

Pogba is seen as a potential must have between himself and Mkhitaryan in FPL. Worth a punt imo. Rest is looking good

I would hold Mooy for sure, he is very good value.

He takes set pieces and potentially penalties. Huddersfield look like they're going to attack all year, and all of them are looking to give Mooy the ball.

Moting could be a one gameweek wonder

    RMWCT:

    Elliot
    Alonso | Kolasinac | Mendy | Davies
    Mkhitaryan | Pogba | Choupo-Moting
    Kane | Jesus | Firmino

    Krul | Naughton | Carroll | Chalobah

Do I need to spend more on Goalkeepers? I always struggle to pick the right one so thought may as well go uber cheap. Possibly better picks than Chalobah but he's created more chances than any other 4.5m midfielder (10) so far this season.

Agreed. Might not pay off this GW but should in the long-term and would save me a transfer which would be handy considering I might have to deal with Stephens/Jones in my defense.

Kane and Firmino. Fixtures look too good for a Liverpool or Spurs attack.

        1. Cok3y5murf
          • 7 Years
          6 years, 6 months ago

Personally, I think it's Kane and Lukaku but just wanted to know what the Scoutcast team thought. 🙂

Also, I don't consider Firmino a premium striker. He's playing in the same position as last season, a false 9/playmaker. All three of the Liverpool forwards mix it up to feed one another. In fact, Salah has had more goal threat than Firmino. So, I just don't think Firmino is a focal point like these other premium strikers. Best option for a third striker though.

Either way, why Liverpool? I think Chelsea and United could score more this week than Liverpool could against Burnley. I was only asking about this week.

Would you define "premium striker" as one £10m and above then? I take your points about Firmino, but I just see the Liverpool and Spurs fixtures as the "easiest" ones for scoring goals, just can't see Burnley doing much at Anfield and Spurs play Swansea, nuff said lol

            1. Cok3y5murf
              • 7 Years
              6 years, 6 months ago

Nothing to do with the price. I think Firmino will score lesser than all the other premium striker options over the season. He won't keep it up, imo.

The best straight replacement for Mane.

Having Kane back on right track and with his fixtures - possible (C) option for next 5 GWs - is it worth keeping Lukaku who's playing 3 not ideal away fixtures and there are tot&CHE at horizon after? Is it time to swap him for Jesus or Morata and upgrade your team elsewhere? Cheers.

Who are the best options in the 7m and below range.

Looking at wood Abraham hemed and Andy Carroll.

Yup he is on the list.

Just think West ham are geared up to serve Carroll and he is on pens.

Realise he is considered a joke around here - but I truly think at 5.9m he may be worth a go in a team that in theory should be better than Burnley, Swansea etc....

      1) What score out of 10 would you give Mark's Wildcard?

      2) With Kane and Lukaku snookering almost all our teams, does this season need a re-rack?

      3) West Brom started last season with 2 clean sheets and then proceeded to keep just 4 clean sheets for the rest of the season. West Brom started THIS season with 2 clean sheets. Is it a case of ... Fool me once, shame on Tony Pulis. Fool me twice, shame on me?

      4) If you spend the £3m saving wisely, is Pogba a better pick than Lukaku?

      5) What is the best way into Man City's high scoring attack?

      6) With Coutinho, Hazard and Sanchez having such miniscule ownership, could we have some devastating differentials on our hands? Could a Wildcard to bring all 3 of these players in be a masterstroke?

I agree. I think it was poor. I'd have expected to see a team set-up with the fixtures in mind (3 Spurs, couple from City and Arsenal) with someone like Alonso in there.

As it is the team is desperately average with 1 FT already earmarked to bring Kane back.

Think about Coutinho, Hazard and Sanchez a bit more before dismissing this.

Look at their total scores last season.

Then look at their current ownership.

Like I said, it could be an absolute masterstroke.

If you're going to talk about ownership, it works both ways.

If you're going to get a player with low ownership and he does well, you're getting a big boost.

If you're going to sell a player with high ownership and he does well, you're just as likely to get left behind.

To get those 3 players, you're probably going to have to sell Lukaku/Kane, Salah, Eriksen/Alli perhaps? Depends on your team. One differential is fine, but three?

So it could be a masterstroke or it could be a massive fail. It's just more likely to be a massive fail because A) you're using your precious WC and B) we know that the current picks are in form, we don't know anything about Coutinho, Hazard and Sanchez besides their scores last season. There's no hurry to bring them in. When their ownership is low, they can't hurt you.

Theyve low ownership because they're not match fit and competing with players who are fit and scoring heavily. It's not maverick it's high risk, low reward. It's desperate

We've been saying that for 8 months now though.

The whole Rose injury has been shrouded in mystery, they've never gave a fixed date of when they expect him back.

Think Andy nailed it on his Let's Talk FPL stream, not getting Davies because Rose is due back is like not getting Costa last season as he's due a 5th yellow, you don't know when or if it will happen.

Rose isn't back in full training yet, then he's got to get fit and match fit after not playing since January. Then if Davies keeps this form up why would he be dropped?

32 points in 4 GWs FPL gold.

Hey Jonty. Should I WC in this scenario. I've had my strongest week yet, jumped from 1.6 million to 387,000 and sit nicely 4th in my mini league. I want to consolidate this with two players I feel will help my position. Kane and Mendy. Two players who will require a least an 8 point hit to crowbar them in to my squad. I don't want to take that kind of hit, would you WC? Or would you wait considering you had a good haul the previous week and take a 4 point hit? Basically, is a WC justified for such a small change or risk missing out on Kanes fixtures this week?

        Don't wildcard for starters.

If you want Kane for a hit then do it....not sure I'd consider Mendy as important.

Or consider captaining Eriksen...who could very well score more than the Spurs frontman.

        But, I stress....do not wildcard.

Does the loss of Mane strengthen or weaken other Liverpool attacking options?
On one side there are less options to share the points.
On the other side Mane is arguably their best player and the performances could suffer with him gone.

Is chasing Team value aggressively and last weeks points a much more fruitless task and possibly even dead now given much less and fewer price changes and particularly double price rises in a GW? some stats on these on double or treble GW risers and fallers compared to last few seasons be interesting

Previous seasons nearly all the previous weeks high scorers would go up by the weekend, now these seem less quick in general than before even the drops are not so severe

Seems to be a more sensible approach on case by case basis based on team, player and next few fixtures as well as form

      1. Have Arsenal found their mojo? Which assets look likely to deliver points?

      2. Is it worth sacrificing Kane/Lukaku in expense of other premium forwards who have better fixtures?

      3. Which budget forwards under 7 mil will likely score and deliver points in the next few gwks?

Spreading funds between different parts of the team.
When putting together sides pre-season (every year) we see many articles etc. on rough %s about how to split funds betweeen GKs/defenders/mids/forwards.
This season seems to have completely altered that. Several reasons seem likely.
      1. Average high cost of premium defenders.
      2. Several premium mids not available at start of season.
      3. So many premium striker options coupled with lack of budget 3rd striker options. Realistically atm Firmino is best 3rd striker and he's 8.5m. Really not a lot of value below that.

Last season's infatuation with 3-5-2 seems a distant memory due to lack of midfield options and focus on 3 premium strikers.
So finally ( 🙂 ) the question is until team values pick-up is focussing on a couple of areas - defenders & strikers - the way to go until sqaud values improve.

Has the lack of viable mid priced mids combined with some double figure hauling higher priced defenders mean we could acceptably consider a 4-3-3 formation or even a 5-3-2?

      The Gabbiadini Reverse Bandwagon

Does anyone know the psychology behind teams losing managers prior to games? Do teams tend (evidence based) to perform better or worse?

I ask because while I appreciate the frustration at Gabbiadini, and the seeming exodus away from him – Palace are the worst team in football at the moment, and if he were to score against anyone, one would think it would be here? What is leading the exodus from Gabby (I know Andy is shipping him this week) and is it definitely the right move?

Particularly those looking at Abraham, with Swansea having a tough fixture this week - surely the smart move is holding for one more week?

      Triple players from 1 team.
If you think they out perform other players do you think it is as crazy as it sounds.
As its a Marathon and not a sprint

Kane & Erikson score one week
Then Kane & Ali another week
      Then all
      Then none

There are many 5.5-5.9 priced midfield options with set-piece duties in locker and add the rise of Choupo-Moting as possibly continuing as oop-striker to that list. It looks like it could be valuable to choose enabler from that bracket.

So. Who could be the best out of that bunch (ChoMo, Groß, Mooy, Ritchie, Shaqiri, Brady)?

Personally contemplating between Choupo-Moting and Groß as Fraser replacement.

Is morato or jesus just as good an option as lukaku being 1 million less as i myself already have kane and firmino or do u think he will outscore the two of them. having seen lukaku over the first 4 gameweeks he has other people around him that can and will score goals meaning he will prob get 6-10 points with pogba rashford and mhiki sharing the points,i think the same with morata and jesus but they are 1 mil cheaper and funds could be used elsewhere or are we just scared of his ownership just in case he goes goal crazy 1 gameweek

With so many options in the upper price brackets already firing and the likes of Sanchez, hazard, coutinho yet to come, how do we allocate our budget especially if in on WC?

A couple of davies, kola, mendy, Alonso look a must

And then who from the forwards? Kane, Lukaku, Morata, Jesus, Aguero, lacazette, Vardy, Firmino.
Are Kane and Lukaku really essential especially if that money is the difference between a richarlison and a pogba/salah in midfield?

Also curious on your opinion of Danny welbeck? If he keeps getting a run then surely will be one of the best budget options?

I'm thinking Butland. The fixtures looks very nice, Elliot covers the ones that aren't, and Stoke have looked pretty good so far.

      Kane and/ or Lukaku ?

If it comes down to a choice between the 2 which is better in FPL

Kane seems to be , more consistent , on pens , scores bonus points very consistently over last 3 seasons 33,32 ,33 which betters Lukaku

is it also when you own them , for now Spurs and Kane offer better potential and upside over next 6 or more Gw's

What does Lukaku have to do to convince people of his value? If he hadn't missed that penalty, he would have been the only player to not blank at all. Even when not captained, he is incredibly consistent. And I am sure in many ocassions if you are an owner of both him and Kane you will prefer to captain him over an in-form Kane. I don't care what form Kane is in but most people won't be captaining him against the top 5 teams for example (we didn't do that even with RVP and Suarez)

        Nobody doubts Lukaku's value.
It's not about having Lukaku, standalone, in your team. In which case Lukaku is a good buy and will score points all season.
It's neither about having both Lukaku and Kane - in which case if you can afford the weakness of the rest of the team, then sure go ahead and keep both.
It's about choosing one over the other. In which case, Kane is the better purchase.

A lot of talk previously of wildcarding in the second international break (gw8). Although some teams' fixtures improve (Chelsea) and others are tougher (spurs), there's no real change versus the current fixture distribution; so our current teams may still be strong a while longer. I ask because I have 2FT and was wondering whether to focus them on players with 3 easy GWs knowing I will wildcard GW8?

Just smooth this week: The big three, Kane, Lukaku and Jesus, delivered for the first time this season. Löwe's master class of a clean sheet.

Rough - Benched Danilo thinking he may not start and come on late for a 1-pointer. Anyway expected Pool to score. CS sat on the bench all weekend as Hegazi and Cedric delivered 0 and 1 points respectively.

Smooth - Played Lowe ahead of Danilo. Checked the score last night expecting a 1-pointer, but was amazed to see 6 points given Lowe sub at 63 mins.

Above average GW with 51 points, Jesus to the rescue. No Kane or Bavies hurt.

      Lowe off the bench 😀

Not to mention I must have gone to the toilet when he got subbed off, continued to watch the game and turned it off in anger when West Ham scored. Only just found out this morning Lowe was subbed off!

Smooth - Keeping KDB after trying to get rid of him all week but saving a transfer instead. Kane and Davies hauling. Ben Mee + Lukaku. 64 points and 90k OR.

Rough - My other 6 players blanked, scored either 1 or 2 each.

Rough: Had a brainfart and left Trippier on the bench thinking Cedric/Jones were better clean sheet options. Ditched KDB and Jesus in WC.

Smooth: Lots of save points from Fabianski suggest he could be valuable even without clean sheets, and smooths out disappointment at leaving Elliot on bench. Brought in Kane on my WC. Green arrowed into top 250,000.

Had an OK'ish 54 points after using my WC.

Smooth: Got in Eriksen and Pogba instead of Alli and Mkhi. Brought in Mee. Captained Lacazette. Kept Kane.

Rough: Didn't captain Kane. Benched Elliot and Löwe. Actually considered Choupo-Moting as my 4th mid but went with Brady instead.

Rough. Benched Bavies for Jones, Alonso and Ward. Didn't expect Ward to be my highest scoring starting defender. In hindsight should have gone 433 with Bavies in for Richarlison.

Plus my pre WC team has handily beaten the WC team 2 weeks in a row. Even if I had played Bavies 🙁

I challenge anyone to beat this:

      wildcarded:
out: gross (18); kolasinac (11); ramsey (6) de bruyne (9)

      in: RLC (0); naughton (1); mkhy (2); mane (-2)

used the extra cash to upgrade mcburnie to firmino (2)

      Net gain -41

I played it the day before Mark announced he played his so completely my own call as it should be.

I still think it was the right decision.

          kolasinac (5; 2; 0 : 2.3 ppg)
          gross( 2; 2; 3 : 2.3 ppg)
          KDB ( 3; 2; 3 : 2.6 ppg)
          ramsey ( 6; 2; 1 : 3 ppg)

That is 28.5 million averaging 2.5 ppg each for three game weeks in a row. That gives you an average of 32 each week including captain!!!!!!!!

My OR was north of 2 million.

Kolasinac didn't even start the last game.

Ramsey taken off at half time.

KDB playing closer to his own goal each game

brighton as a team barely having a shot in three games let alone hoping to get points off one of their attackers.

Lets look at who I put in:

          naughton (7; 0; 12 : 6.3 ppg)
          *RLC (2; 2; inj : 2 ppg but transferred in to change formation from 4 4 2 to 4 3 3 so not a starter)
          mane (6; 8; 8 : 7.3 ppg)
          mkhy ( 11; 10; 5 : 8.6 ppg)
          firmino ( 12; 2; 12 : 8.6 ppg)

So the main point to the wildcard was to change formation from 442 to 433.
          essentially I went:
          kol to naughton
          kdb to mane
          ramsey to mkhy
gross to firmino via RLC and money saved.

This averages to 7.7ppg vs 2.5ppg
it took out two non nailed players from arsenal and two players who were "grossly" underperforming with seemingly little upside and allowed me to save/make the equivalent of 0.5 as gross and kdb dropped 0.1 and mane, firmino and mkhy went up 0.1

I am not saying that I expected similar output of 7.7ppg. I am saying there were valid reasons to wildcard and I have been ridiculously unlucky to get a -40ish swing

65 points straight after WCding, brought in Ben Davies for instant returns and captained Kolasinac. Climbed 2.2m in a week to 400k OR and taken the lead in the works cash ML 😀

Woe: WBA double up failure with Elliot on the bench. Chalobah and Cork, outscore Salah and Mkhitaryan (thanks Lukaku). Cedric and Alonso no CS.

Smooth - Kane (c), Wood - Davies who were replacements of Benteke and Alderweireld during my WC. Rough - the differentials i chose with the exception of Wood - Mahrez, Ozil, Maguire, Dunk, Antonio didnt provide any points. First decent week though so excited for the GWs to come

Smooth - 66 points, mostly from Kane (C), Jesus and Trippier

Rough - Thinking the "Free Hit" chip was just 1 x Free Hit. Having already used my 2 free transfers to do Kolasnic & Stones > Tripper & Lowe I used the Free Hit chip to do Ramsey > Richarlison. I then wondered why after the GW had started, in transfers I was seeing my old team.

Result - Wasted Free Hit chip and have now Wildcarded which I may not have done had it not been for this misunderstanding.

43points so not very good but so average i would say. Rough, Stones sitting on my bench with his 6pointers, but in all fairness he was there to stay and now shipped. Salahs miss ofc but i knew thatwhen i bought him, he will score and assist a lot but he wil lalso miss many. Having Ince was very nearly a savior from the week but the ONE chance he had went straight into the bar. Ryan close to a CS was also mildly irritating. But it shows that the game is about luck too, if those two had went my way i would have had 10-12 points more.
Smooth; Mee CS and Jesus, Captain Lukaku was nice and i was relieved that he first had his shot saved so MKhi didn´t get any assist-)
Saved my transfer so allows me to change a little bit and that´s good

Indeed, I had Gross since the start of the season, played him in the first 3 GWs with T. Carroll on the bench, and then I DID something in GW4 as I switched them, so I put Carroll in play and Gross on the bench for the first time this season, and wohoooo happy days....

Rough - an average week just mehhhh , unexpected result by teams , although did not have mane the Liverpool result and man city goals
      Brighton scoring against WB
Swansea conceding and Newcastle CS with Elliot 8 points on bench
one of the many tfr out KDB for -4 ( for Antonio )
down to nearly 2 mil and only red arrows this season so far

      Smooth
Erickson , kolsaniac and safe Lukaku Cap stopping a disaster week
Overall team in good shape and still decent fixtures and some form
W/c still intact - the longest I have kept it

Bye bye GW4. It wasn't you, it was me.
We will always have the memories. That Lacazaette (c) goal turned out to be the highlight unfortunately. And then the numpty got no bonus.

      When our GK/ def/ mid combo reads: 2, 1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 1, 1

then it's time to bring our relationship to an end. It's a pity that I can't say that our time together was fun, because it wasn't. You have caused me a couple of restless nights.

I have to inform you that I have already moved onto a new fling. She is called GW5. She promises gifts and seduction not a bit unlike a harpy with 2 FTs calling from the rocks.

      Rough points this week:

      1) Swapped my captain from Kane (13) to Lukaku (6) early Saturday due to overwhelming support of Lukaku.

      2) Also benched Ben Davies (14) early Saturday to bring in Tom Carroll (2). Figured Spurs wouldn't get much against a resilient Everton and Swansea would reap points at home to a Newcastle without Mbemba.

Wasn't going to drop Jones, Suttner or Stephens as my other defenders as I felt they had better fixtures.

      3) Played Foster (2) in favour of Elliot (8)

      4) Played Carroll (2) in favour of Ritche (5)

Overall the above decisions cost me 29 points!

Here we go. Rough all around here and had probably my worst ever gw.

Did Kane, wijnaldum, dann > jones, mane, morata (-8) which was risky but looked way better on paper than it turned out to be.
Only eriksen, morata and lukaku got me more than 2 pts and my joint highest scoring player was Elliott w 8 on the bench. Got a grand total of 33(-8)

Basically feel like im due a lucky break at one point or another as my team is actually quite good on paper, just nothing seems to be going for me so far

Also take a moment to admire how much skill this takes. In my draft league I have played:

      Gw1: fab
      Gw2: arnie
      Gw3: sterling
      Gw4: mane

Apologies in advance to all Pogba owners in gw5

      27point swing...

      Lukaku(c) 12, KDB 9, Ramsey 6 > Lukaku 6, Mane(c) -4, Mooy 2, -4 paid transfer

Did Ram>Mooy as a rage transfer after Aaron was subbed off after 45 previous match.

Was always going to dump KDeepB after the first 3 – plan was to bring in Mane and Eriksen in time for GW5 – just got the order wrong as I liked Mane as captain option this week 😆

Hold my hands up - I ballsed up.

Danilo was always a placeholder that was for trippier when fit, and I started the season well so had two free transfers going into international break.

Took a minus 8 and took gabbi Huemier Danilo and Willian out (total of 9 points) for Naughton, Firmino, Tadic and Wimmet (total of 5). We all know what happened with Spurs.

Just goes to show the danger of having two free transfers and not much reason to do anything!

Bang on the average, 44 but...

WC, dumped Kane & Rambo and have taken a hit to get them back!
Like many I benched Elliot & Clark, started Foster & Naughton.
Oh and sold Mee just for good measure.
Mane had already destroyed my week, triple pooled!

Crumbs of comfort? Davies since wk1 did it again, Laca cap did okay, so did Morata & Pogba.

All in all it feels a bad week... but could have been worse.

Can't top or should I say 'bottom' Top Marks but can't do a thing smooth this season eg TXO Alonso after GW1.

Thought WC may change fortunes. It did! Squad net gain of +4pts. Sadly 16 of em were on bench with Elliot n Mee - played Foster n Naughton. Team net loss of -7 against pre WC team n -15 with optimum pre wc captain! GWTotal 38pts n ranked almost 2.8 million after starting 2.3million!!! Driving me nuts! Last 4 seasons finished in or close to 100k (best 3688).

Rough: After selling Firmino the previous week for Kane (c) for a hit, I "corrected" the error by selling Jesus to Firmino for a hit and capataing Alonso. I don't want to work out how many points I wasted in the process for fear that I would take out a gun and shoot myself.

However I did take the time to work how how many points I would have had I left my team as is since GW1 with no changes and I would be 55 points better off. Oh dear, I'd best find a different hobby!

OR down from 150k to 1.4m since GW1 and midfield nightmare continues - just one assist in 4 GWs.

Elliot is as nailed as you can get. Darlow is not preferred by Rafa. LB at Newc is up in the air. If i´d buy a defender from them now i would go Clark, for safety. But Gamez impressed so could be that he plyed himself in, as he is a regular Lb. I think Clark was meant to played Lb and Lejeune and Lascelles CB and Yedlin at RB (Manquillo also impressive so that too is not so certain i would think). Not an Newc fan so this i more of a calculation based on the premises seth forth in pre season and so far this season. Mbemba is a CB and is injured atm

    Morning Guys,

A question about the rules that I couldn't find in official page:

If I take a hit, confirm it. After that, I play wildcard, the hit will be erased?

I found it: all transfers (incuding those already made) in the gamewekk will be free of charge.

    Any suggestions on this WC?

    Foster - Elliot
    Davies - Jones - Wimmer - Naughton - 4m
    Mhki - Eriksen - Salah - Moting - Carroll
    Kane - Vardy - Morata

0.4 ITB allows Salah >> Mane once back

Looks pretty much like mine but I wouldn't go without Lukaku.

Who would you drop to fit him in?

I would downgrade Moting->Loftus-Cheek and then do Morata->Lukaku but to be fair yours is not bad either.

something worries me about having two 4.5m midfielders in team.

Wimmer is for me not entirely nailed but then again,Shawcross tend to be out for longer than just one gameweek and Cameron also out so maybe. Gamez could be a punt for that 4m place, especially short term as i would rather have Newc defender than Stoke when they two meet next saturday (Newc is quite resolute at the back if statistics is anything to go by) and he could be starting at least that match..

I think your team is set up nicely otherwise, but for me it seems like Salah s more valuable than Mané, Moting is a very up and down player but you could at least gain some profit. For me Firmino stands out in the 8-9m brackets, but you have Salah so see the logic. Some of the other replies has asked for Lukaku, but i like your Morata pick. Jesus is a possibility ofc and with 0.4 itb you could get both Firm and Jesus instead?

        cheers for the feedback!

Could upgrade Vardy >> Lukaku or Jesus and downgrade Salah to leave a 6.4 or 7.6 mid. Not many in that bracket tho?

not many in that price bracket, no. salah could get as much as Lukaku alone so i wouldn´t go there-)

Whilst playing around in the transfers section last night, and chatting with my mum on the phone, I inadvertently made and confirmed 6 transfers!! 😀 I can now see the funny side, but a -20 incoming for this week (my own fault for not concentrating). Anyway, it made me wonder what the biggest hits are people have taken and how they have worked out. I am happy with the team for the long run but wanted to plan a way to achieve this over a few weeks!!!

If you haven't used your WC yet you can use it now and not get minus points

Already used it!! It's a comedy of errors. There is the free hit but I would rather wait than waste that now. I am not usually afraid to take a hit now and then so I will just ride this out and hopefully after this week start making some serious progress. Thanks though.

Not 100% sure but fyi I believe using the free hit would not cancel your -20 hit.

I did a -16 last season I think, it went tits up.

i think i had -16 once last season, and a pretty fair share of -4 and even 8. At this stage i wouldn´t be too concerned, but 20 is a lot of points to make up for, especially since you´ve already played your wc. But then again, if you feel that those changes were something you would have planned to do then one could justify it partly i think. Good luck with your changes!

Hi, please help. Is this move worth -4? (looking for long term result)

    Out: Chica-Mkhi-Hegazi
    In: Firmino-Groß-Bavies

My other attacking player is Kane, Lukaku, Eriksen, Salah and Carroll.

    Thanks.

Do only Hegazi to Bavies if you can afford.

A-) Willian & Ramsey to Alli & Chopo Moting for a hit.
B-) Monitor 1 more week and do it next week for free if necessary.
