The Big Numbers – Gameweek 4

It’s time for our post-Gameweek members article next as we assess the data from the previous round of fixtures.

Manchester United and Spurs midfielders feature in our analysis, as do Stoke’s weekend goal hero and Newcastle United’s new frontman.

A Burnley centre-half and West Ham wing-back also catch the eye, while we also check in with a pair of two-goal frontmen from Arsenal and Man City.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

It would be Neutral or negative as Mkhi is assisting a lot rather than scoring ..
If ball doesn't move fast, he cant find those precise through balls ..

Both. More likely to play full matches in his best role, but Man Utd will also create less and play on result.

    6. Jigger & Pony

Neutral to positive as Mou will likely play 4231 rather than 433. Mkhi plays as no. 10 in that system without Pogba.

He showed during his last Bundesliga season that he can keep it up for longer periods. Don't think he will get 5 assists every 4 games but I think he can get 3 assists every 5 games and chip in with a goal here and there.

He was wasteful & a little too casual with the ball sometimes. But still got in great positions and was unlucky not to get the assist for Lukaku's goal vs. Stoke.

As long as he plays in the number 10 role, there aren't many players in the league who have as much potential for points, especially for 8.3M

Romelu is weird, he does nothing for vast periods of the match, and just kind of hangs on the defenders shoulder pointing at places. Then out of nowhere he shows up in the right place at the right time and slots it home. Strange player but will always be in the goals

Stats are sometimes misleading "Alli managed just two shots, both outside the box".

Fine, but he also had a great chance from a Kane cross which he fluffed by not sorting his feet out quickly enough. He should've scored that, and that was in the box.

Mkhi will raise further, maybe even 0.2 this week, and might be a season keeper. With Salah probably better than with Silva.

If you have WC left, then maybe the punt could be worth a go. But Mkhi will only be harder to get in after this week, wich might force you to wait for pogba comeback to get in to ManU attack.

      2. Lord Bendtner, TGSTEL

Want in on the Davies Band wagon

        Forster / Elliot
        Löwe - Stones - Kolasinac - Daniels - Long
Eriksen - Ramsey - Mkhitaryan Ramsey Carrol RCL
        Kane - Lukaku - Firmino

        0.4 ITB
        2FT
        WC not used

So want Davies in for sure, and might want Kolacinac next GW.
So I can do straight swap with stones this week, and then maybe next week

Downgrade Daniels to 4.5m that rotates with löwe, and upgrade Bertie to Kolasinac.
        OR
Downgrade Forster to 4.5 (or even to 4.0 until WC) and get Kolasinac in and have 0.2 or 0.7m ITB for the future, and keep Daniels. He rotates okay with Löwe anyways.

        What would you have done?

This is my current team, I have used the 2FT's to do Kompany and Gabi to Bavies and Firmino. With 0.3 in the bank

        De Gea Myhill
        Bailly Bertrand Yoshida Bavies Gamez
        Eriksen Salah Ritchie RLC Carroll
        Lukaku Firmino Jesus

I'm thinking Lukaku to Kane and either downgrading DeGea to Pickford or Yoshida to a 4.5 for -8. Have I gone mad or good moves?

After tonigh's game i d do it if Kane is ok. If you captain him and you choose a nice GK it may only need 2 more points from him than Lukaku to equalise the hits. MUN without Pogba will face difficulties on Sunday imo, Spurs are finding their last 2 years awesome gameplay. Or you may just captain Eriksen and hope he delivers again.

If I do the sideways move of Alli > Eriksen on my WC it will be typical FF to see Alli grabbing a brace against Swansea wouldn't it!

Shall I just sit tight and ride with Alli? Long term they'll both get similar points.

On a WC I'd switch, but Eriksen is likely to get subbed off on 70min due to Champions League for the next month.

Long-term it's worth it though. IMO he's been the best player in the PL so far, and arguabley since January.

If you are on a wildcard it's worth upgrading Alli to Eriksen. A lot is made on here about Alli's security of starts because of the CL ban but Eriksen is also secure as he is Spurs' only creative midfielder and they are poor without him in the team (I speak as a Spurs fan btw). Eriksen is in prime form and has been voted MoM on the spurscommunity fan forum in every premiership game this season.

Would get Alli ahead of Eriksen (which i did from the beginning and kept during my WC) much more consistent player and will get more minutes during the next month.

Alli was quite slow to start scoring last season and looks that way at the moment too

Spurs have been doing Europe / Champions League for quite a few seasons now, rotation has not been much of an issue previously

I don't see Erikson getting many bookings but Alli could be the next big player to get a red card (I hope not)

I also think I need some City cover, do you think Silva can be profitable like previous years? 🙂

It's a risk due to rotation, but not a bad option and he's played every minute so far. Wait and see who Pep plays tonight.

If you plan on WC-ing in the next 3 weeks, it's not the worst option.

        Few questions:

        1) Is Atsu no longer nailed and should be looking to move on?
        2) Will Willian play this weekend, should owners be looking to move on?
        3) How does Lukaku + Willian>>Morata + Mahrez/Silva/ Cout sound?

          Pure guesses:

          1) Likely to start, but now prone to rotation so start looking elsewhere
          2) Unlikely. Pedro, Hazard, Fabregas all ahead of him IMO
          3) Fine. I'm not mad about losing Lukaku, but any midfielders under £7m are utter tosh, so you need to find the funds to upgrade somehow

        Start one, please!

        A- Willian (Home vs Arsenal)
B - Astu (Home vs Stoke)

Errr I have to start both! Would purely go on price and play Willian.

It's going to be tough as you've spread your midfield money thinly across all 5 players.

                I'd probably do Ince + Willian > Mkhi + 4.5m

Would be so useful if a player from outside of the top 6 could emerge with genuine consistent returns. A Mahrez or King type from previous seasons. Hoping it's Antonio.

Who to start De Gea or Elliot?

Probably transferring in Siggy for Pogba

If you're spending 5.5 on a keeper you start him. If you're going to rotate them, downgrade

              yeah its true.

i haven't rotated de gea yet, only considering if i bring siggy in. Don't want to spend a freebie or a hit on downgrading De Gea at the moment
