The Big Numbers – Gameweek 4

It’s time for our post-Gameweek members article next as we assess the data from the previous round of fixtures.

Manchester United and Spurs midfielders feature in our analysis, as do Stoke’s weekend goal hero and Newcastle United’s new frontman.

A Burnley centre-half and West Ham wing-back also catch the eye, while we also check in with a pair of two-goal frontmen from Arsenal and Man City.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Foster Elliot
    Otamendi Cedric bavies
    Eriksen mikhy chupo gross
    Lukaku Kane Jesus
    Crap bench

Basically worth it for that forward lineup?

well he just scored and assisted in their only game where theyve scored, played 90 in the match before that too. murray started the first two where they looked awful going forward

I picked up Hemed as third striker and upgraded my defense. Murray was injured the last two games, which is why Hemed started. I think Murray is back now, so there is some risk with Hemed.

Thinking about switching to 4-4-2 with him as 3rd striker. Alonso, Mendy, Kolasinac, Davies, etc. look wayyy better than the strikers and midfielders in that 7.0-5.5m price bracket.

        Agree completely. I'm going 4-3-3 or 5-2-3.

Agonising between Gross, Ritchie, Atsu, Mooy, Moting, Brady etc feels like a fools game.

          was just researching.

they are judging from to Brighton's past 2 years. it's been Murray and Hamed.

but it wouldn't be a surprise if Gross took one when they get it. he took quite a few at Ingolstadt last year.

I went to Elliot and a 4m a week ago. I also started the season with Kane, Lukaku and Firmino up front, I have Dawson and Naughton, and had the RLC/Carroll rotation. Nice to see the guru is following me with his wildcard!

Fair enough, thing is Danilo was a make shift cb, compare stones and otamendi minutes last season and he has double the minutes.
Basically pep needs 3 cbs and if otamendi is fit he just has to start. Then again it's pep we are talking about but that's the logic I have

    My front 6 are:

    Eriksen, Antonio, Pogba
    Lukaku, Kane (c), Chicharito

    I hv 2FTs, 0.0ITB

    With Kane as my captain, Pogba injured and Chicharito not scoring, I did;

    Lukaku >>> Rashford
    Pogba >>> Mkhi
    Chicharito >> Jesus

Even if they do, are they really going to be better than Alli/Eriksen/Salah + $$$?

I'm on WC, toying with putting Haz in instead of Salah, but he just doesn't seem worth the extra funds.

Usually hazard takes a while to hit form, but when he does he's a must have. Thing with Sanchez is with lacazette signing, you don't expect him play as central as before. Take that with a pinch of salt if you will

    6. Drum8888

Simple, just change the rest of the team to 4m players and hope that Sanchez and Hazard make up all the point by themselves.

Seriously though, I don't want either atm.

Pogba is in a different position though. He can be replaced by Fellaini, Matic, Herrera.

Mkhi has Martial, Mata, Rashford, Lingard as replacements. So I don't know.

Otherwise, would you do the switch? Or just Pogba to Mkhi?

Not sold on Choupo-Moting. He's on my watchlist and if he looks good I might bring him in for GW9 (fixtures turn).

You could be right. I just don't see Mkhi being rested and should get 60-70 minutes at least. I'm between Pogba -> Mkhi and WC (would bring Mkhi in)

      Hopefully Kane.
Just hope he doesn't blank against Swansea. Wembley effect and all that.

    Bertrand > Davies and a downgrade elsewhere isn't worth a -8 right?

    No? Ok, got it 🙂

Maguire worth 5.1? Hard to find three decent 4.5s to rotate, but I have funds to bring him in. Leicester's defence doesn't fill me with confidence, though.

Prefer Jones, Cedric, Holebas at that price. But not a bad shout

Well you can get Morgan or Simpson in the same team for 4.5m, not sure I'd pay the extra but maybe I'm a cheapskate. I'm considering Michael Keane or Baines from Everton from next week, nice fixtures.

    On Wc:

    Elliot
    BDavies Jones Cedric Kola
    Eriksen Silva* Ramsey
    Firmino Kane(C) Kaku

    Subs: Foster, T Caroll, Chalobah

Not sure only If Silva will change Pogba or somebody else - Miki etc.

Ramsey looks a meh pick tbh - rather have Jese or a 5.5

I think he can come good - dont like stoke or newcastle alternatives for now 🙂

Can do. I'd say it was a decent punt if he was nailed, but there will be loads of rotation around Europa with Coq and Elneny around

I see but I hope they va Koln and he in premier league...its logical. And I cant find a good alternative up to 7m ahead of him - Atsu, Gross, Ritchie, Choupo, Doucore... dont rate them unless someone shows consistency like Joshua King
