With only two more rounds of fixtures to go,the race for the top six spots intensifies.  Before we look ahead to Matchweek 18 lets find out how the previous set of matches played out.

Matchweek 17 Review

Full results can be found here.

Fashanu Zealand convincingly beat Mozampique in what was the most anticipated game of the week. The win puts Fashanu Zealand in second spot with 33 points and almost secure of a  knockout berth. Mozampique on the other hand,s uffered a sixth straight defeat which leaves them with two must-win games to enter the knockouts. What a turnaround it’s been for the Mozzie’s!!!

Talking of turnarounds, the biggest one of the tournament so far goes to Hungary Neville. With a single win after five match weeks, they were reeling at the bottom half of the table. What followed was eleven wins in the next twelve games and they now find themselves at the top of the table, with a knockout spot almost guaranteed.

Afghanistanislas, Reussia and Ibeland all had a golden opportunity to inch one step closer to the knockouts, but ended up losing. Kenyaya and Balegium suffered similar fate.

Bolivia Giroud,Messidonia and Grabbangladesh registered very important victories.

The teams in the bottom half of the table may have lost the opportunity to make the playoffs, but they are fulfilling the role of party-pooper admirably.

Matagascar beat Afghanistanislas, by a whooping 80 points, Gaboniadini beat Russia and  Mbokani Faso beat Kenyaya.

Salahmon Island’s one point loss to Georgia Boyd has to be one of the games of the tournament so far.

Looks like MW19 could be crucial depending on who faces who. Grabbangladesh still very much in the hunt. Would love to know who we play
