Sky Sports

Sky Sports Focus

Our attention now turns to the Sky Sports game, as we check in with last weekend’s action before preparing you for a bumper upcoming round of matches that could play a significant part in the overall standings.

We’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before detailing the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 35 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM

Watford vs BurnleyWill Hughes

Chelsea vs West HamJoe Hart
Bournemouth vs Crystal PalaceLuka Milivojevic
West Brom vs SwanseaChris Brunt
Leicester vs NewcastleJamaal Lascelles
Man City vs Man UnitedPaul Pogba
Arsenal vs SouthamptonDanny Welbeck
Stoke vs SpursChristian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen was at it again, earning his second MoTM award in as many weeks. The Dane has amassed 34 points over that period and is now the fourth highest-scoring midfielder overall.

Paul Pogba’s brace also caught our eye ahead of the Double Gameweek. The Frenchman has shown us glimpses of his Fantasy potential with several double-figure hauls this season and now looks a valid and cheaper alternative to team-mates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Gameweek 35 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at any player to earn 50 points or more in bonus for the season.

Notes

I moved up one whole place, so I guess I have to count that as a victory. Overall, It was a low-scoring week across the board, but I had hoped for more given my use of three transfers.

Speaking of which, I’m pretty happy with them, as of the trio I sold, Ben Davies and Roberto Firmino didn’t start, while Theo Walcott blanked.

The incoming Pascal Gross got me two points and was only denied an assist when Jonas Lossl was deemed to have scored an own goal, while Harry Kane’s ghost goal meant he also went close to a decent return. Thankfully, Wilfried Zaha carried the rest with a ten-point return.

My big decision this week is who to bring in at the expense of Gabriel Jesus.

I need a player from the red side of Manchester for captaincy reasons moving forward, and there is a case to be made for all three of my potential suitors: Lukaku, Sanchez and Pogba.

I currently see the Belgian striker as the safest pick, but given my desire to break into the top 100, I’m strongly considering the other two as altenatives.

Sanchez has been very good in his last two matches and is owned by the fewest people. He’s also the most expensive and therefore unobtainable for most in one transfer. All of these reasons are currently pushing me in his direction.

Captain Plan

Sat 14th April – Mohamed Salah
Sun 15th April – Romelu Lukaku/Alexis Sanchez/Paul Pogba
Mon 16th April – None
Tues 17th April – Harry Kane
Weds 18th April – Romelu Lukaku/Alexis Sanchez/Paul Pogba
Thurs 19th April – Andreas Christensen

Planning to use Free Hit on GW 35 but not sure what happens with my FT. Basically i want to get Austin for King so in order that to happen what should i do:
    1) use my FT for GW35 and get Austin for King and then use FH or
    2) use FH and after GW35 make the transfer (will it count like Gw36 transfer?)

Basically my question is how to utilise the free transfers and is there any chance to lose it because of using FH
Will i have 2 FT for GW36 or only 1FT.

Is there any way or something that i have to do/ not to do in order to have 2 FT for GW36

    Thanks a lot

voting against VAR is beyond f****ing dumb. it really is.

"oh no the fans have to look at their phones for an extra few mins while the right decision is made....can't have that" what about the "debates" down the pubs with the lads that no other sport gives a f*** about? they would be gone to.

BB in play, one eye on GW35 because of no FH, 0.1 itb & carrying over 1 FT:

No VAR brings fire and passion to the game.. wrong decisions creates and overfload of emotions. Might be the right decision in all honesty in terms of aura and emotions. But on the behalf of fair results

It’s early days. VAR is not ready. The response time is poor.

Remember Mata’s goal v Huddersfield was disallowed by VAR... when in fact VAR was quite clearly wrong as we all saw the images.

        1. boc610
          • 12 Years
          6 years, 13 days ago

var showed that he was offside, it got it right...the images provided were a joke but it was still the right decision. football his behind other sports on this and will continue to be for years to if it isn't implemented

            • 6 Years
            6 years, 13 days ago

Unfortunately those images were no joke. When the old technology was then used to analyse post game it showed only Mata’s arm was in an offside position. As he cannot use his arm, he is not offside.

But yes, we are years behind! I’ve seen some outrageous decisions given in Italy too.

No FH or WC so thinking I’ll save a FT as I need to hold a few GW35 players.

Will TC Kane as my team will be better suited to BB37 (12 DGW37 players in team)

    DDG
    Davies, Alonso, VVD, Maguire
    Hazard, Willian, Alli
